First off I love the sweater pattern. I am right now working on a blue and white sweater with the trees similar to this along the bottom. I am a continental knitter. I have searched and searched for how to float continental. I’m so glad to have found this video. I have been doing an English float technique which is puckering my work. Since the sweater is a wear at home, learn how to knit color stranding project I am not too worried about it. I’m just glad to find a continental method of doing the floats.

I had no idea that this method of knitting existed, a bit like crochet, I learnt the traditional way, must try this.

I am a Continental Knitter, and I have been trying to find a tutorial that shows stranded colorwork-worked flat, holding the 2 yarns in the left hand, AND how to catch the floats on the WS-or Purl side-or BS. I have not found one anywhere. Is there anyway you could do one?

Where is the link to the sweater with the trees??

I must be doing something wrong, because my contrast color is showing through everywhere I float it. 🤔

Do you have issues with the float yarn twisting over on itself?

not really, you just need to make sure you keep your yarns in the same orientation each time you pick up the project!

How did you put the yarn on your finger, can you show it in a video?

Nice to have subtitles and the possibility to mute the sound. Cannot watch this with that irritating music in the background.
