Omgoodness! I learned so much with your previous clip on catching floats in the round. Started a flat project just now and was stumped. Thank you SO much for this tutorial ❤! Exactly what I needed.

I'm new to changing colors and what a mess I had. Thank you so much for showing how to catch floats.

    REQUEST FOR HELP.
Hi Aurora, this tutorial is very helpful, I am mostly okay with stranded knitting on the right side (knit row).
I run into issues on the purl row (wrong side), it's a technique issue as I knit in the English style.
    My question is this:
My pattern requires me to attach the contrasting colour on the purl row. Now, do I catch the contrasting colour on the knit row? I am lead to believe it start this a few stitches before the contrasting colour is needed. I have been told if I don't do this, my stitches will lie at a strange angle😮. Is this right🤔
MANY thanks for your time, I look forward to your response.
    All the best- Dotty

Thank you 👍 I'm doing a checkered pattern since it looks beginner friendly and definitely will try this I realize I'm not good doing continental with two yarns I actually do better with continental and English style combined 😀

Hello! I have look at your video and want to learn how you do stiching wiht two coulors. And you show slowly so it is previous easy to learn. But I have looked very many times.
Do you hold your dominat yarn in right hand or left hand?
And I wonder if you also can show how to stich whith tre threds?
My work is in three coulors, And how do you catch them?
I am from Sweden so my english maybe isn't right.
    I hope you understand. 😅

I really loved your demonstration, but I'm a little confused.on the back side, you don't purl both yarns the same way.. when you purl the brown yarn it goes up and around the needle but when you purl the green yarn you do it the other way around.. doesn't it create twisted st for the green yarn??

Good spot! It actually creates a twisted stitch if you don't go the other way round. For some magical reason it works itself out!

Very clear video about how to catch the float, but i am confused as to which hand holds the dominant colour. Does it get switched when you do the RS and the WS?

Aw thank you so much for all the lovely feedback! This pattern came from The Dottie Pullover, which is actually worked in the round. But it is so great to demonstrate this technique!

@@rebeccaknudsen6190 The original pattern is called Dotties Pulliver, and that is done in the round. I borrowed that pattern repeat for this demo!
