Oddly enjoying the quilting content. Didn't think I'd like it as much as I do.
Joooooiiinnnnn usssss!! 🧟♀🧟🧟♂ 😂 Ahh, so happy to hear you're enjoying the quilting content, Jimmy!
Oh Lordy I have a few projects collecting dust 😊. This would be a perfect push to finish.
Really enjoyed making my Dear Jane! Hand quilted each block and put it together quilt as you go
You're an inspiration, Glenda!! 🙌 I'm also relieved to hear you enjoyed the process 😅
Phantom Hydrangea is so pretty!
Your sock tutorial is my go to for sock knitting.
Ahhh! That is awesome and makes me so happy to hear 🤗💖
Lori Holt is the queen of applique quilting! 🙌🏻
Subscribed! 😄
I am plucking away at a tshirt quilt for my son in law. I’m not a major sewer but your inspiring me
I have a friend that made this Dear Jane quilt….it is spectacular! I met her while she was working on her Daughters of the American Revolution application and I was the registrar for our chapter…I visited her home and saw her Dear Jane in progress. She had a huge binder with the completed quilt blocks stored…I was very intrigued! When she finished her quilt she sent it to be quilted…just gorgeous❣️ I invited her to my quilt guild to talk about her quilt. She had a friend who had joined her in a make along that also shared her quilt with us.
Because these two shared their quilts and their story, several ladies in the guild have gone down that rabbit hole…lol
Happy quilting❣️😊❤️
What a great story, Patty! Thank you for sharing - Seeing all those quilt blocks IS incredibly inspiring. 🙌
I love your quilting. Very new to it. Bought 2nd hand modern quilts book and it gives me templates. So bought the wadding and good to go when I pick up courage to commit. I do sew but never quilted. Am going to give Irish chain a go. You are an inspiration ❤
Totally love the MAL idea! Looking forward to it.🙂
The phases of the moon quilting idea is brilliant on that pattern! Clever.
The color of your Age of Brass and Steam Shawl is stunning. Love the rooster tails!
Thank you! Thank you! 😄
I'm inspired by your deep dive into quilting. I'll be joining the epicMAL to decrease my extensive quilt que.
I'm thinking of finally attempting Dear Jane.
do it! do it!! We have a few others Jane-ing along for the MAL, so you'd be in great company 🤗
great to see all your projects
❤ phantom hydrangea, It m favourite colour this season!😊
I love your yarn! And the names are choice! Love, love. I’m saving up! Thanks ❤️
Thank you, Kimberly! 💖 I'm so glad to hear that you love the yarn and the names. It means a lot to me!
Thick and then handspun is my most favorite to crochet with and yours is gorgeous! Rich moody color❤
Love the socks I use socks yarn for fingerless mitts and hats that shawl is so sweet love all your makes
I am so excited for MAL! I am also doing the Dear Jane by EPP! This will be the best push to "get on with it". I started quite some time ago, I am halfway through Row B.....So excited you are doing this one as well!!!! I don't have Facebook but will follow along on RUclips channel and instagram! Happy sewing!
Thanks so much for the sock pattern 🧦
Of course! Happy sock knitting, Miki! 💖🧦
Hi Kristin, Love your channel! ❤️ Your shawls are just gorgeous-they inspire me to want to cast one on. I love the year long make along! I started a temperature blanket this year that has lost its steam. The MAL is just the incentive I need to get it done.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Carol! I'm so happy to hear that you're enjoying the channel and finding inspiration in my shawls. 😊 That temperature blanket sounds like a fantastic project, and I'm glad the make-along is giving you the motivation to pick it back up. Can't wait to see how it turns out!
I throw all my socks in washer on cold & just lay flat to dry. Haven't lost a pair of socks yet.
I love the deep-dive “epic” KAL idea. I have about 5 sweaters around here that want to get made. You’ve inspired me to go for it!
YESSS!!! 😄 You can DO it, Jamie!!
Where did you get your baskets that fit into your cubbyholes on your shelf? Those are so cool!
Oh, what a gorgeous shawl! Love your color choice , somehow reminds me to Jane Austen book cover illustration
Thank you! And yessss!! I can totally see that!! 😻
Ooh! The make along sounds wonderful. I have two big projects I want to work on. One is a twelve days of Christmas embroidery ornament set. And the other is a Battenburg square crochet blanket with a yarn advent.
Perfect!! 😍🙌
Hey girl❤ I love your channel. Your quilts are amazing. I suck at sewing do I live vicariously through you 😂

I defiantly want to do the Lata Sweater for the epic make along! I don't think it'll take a full year, but I need to do a few smaller projects to build my skills first so that'll take time, but I'm so in!
Ooh, had to look that pattern up - is it the one by Martin Storey? www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/lata Excited to have you join, Sarah!
@@Voolenvine That's pretty, but no, the one by Giselle Ukardi! I think it's her first pattern and it's STUNNING
Oh, wow! That IS stunning. Look at that delicious brioche... 😍Now I want one (immediately adds to queue😂) You can totally do this, though!! Remember: One step at a time. Bit-sized chunks. 💪 @@SarahJo
@@Voolenvine Thank you! I appreciate the vote of confidence and the advice :) This will be a good year for stretching our skills!
The shawls are amazing and that quilt project is epic. We live in Amish country and quilts and quilt shops are everywhere. I have made a couple crib quilts but nothing large. I do have a crochet afghan project that would be ideal for the MAL, but finances are far too tight to become a member so I will enjoy watching instead. I can’t wait to see your quilt finished!
I remember visiting Pennsylvania Dutch when I was super little. Can only imagine what it would be like to revisit with an appreciation for quilting 🙌 Also, member or not, you're still very welcome to join in the MAL!! (I hope you do) Just use #VoolenvineEpicMAL on Instagram to share your progress 🤗 I plan to feature a slideshow at the end of every month featuring progress pix! 💖
Love the Dear Jane quilt. I bought the epp kit for my birthday this year
What an awesome bday gift to yourself! 🤗
Hi! New sub here… I’m excited to explore your channel. I’ve always wanted to knit socks, so this is going to be fun. Also, how do I find your sock pattern?
Just last week I “cast on” for my first sweater spin. I’ve attempted before but repurposed the yarn before I finished and now that project is in time out.
I won’t be done by the time Youngfolk’s Pressed Flowers KAL ends, but I might be able to manage a year.
Oh! A fiber-to-sweater project would be perfect for this MAL! It would most likely take me a year to finish something like that as well. 😂
I am going to try the Dear Jane. I have been mulling it for a while. I am stuck on either a dark kraft/burlap kind of brown background fabric, or a deepest blackberry. That's all I know so far. Also, Hi 👋🏽☺️🥰
Yay! I'll have some Jane-along company 🤗 Ahh!! This is going to be fun. And I love the idea of a dark craft/burlap brown for the background... would totally add an interesting twist. When I first read your comment, I imagined how gorgeous the quilt would look in all neutrals... almost like a gingerbread house with all-white frosting! 🙊
Fun socks! When will you be offering Footsie in a shop update? I am keen to cast on a pair of socks in one of your beautiful, moody colorways! :-)
Hi Sandy! I'm focusing on holiday colors/bases at the moment but I do have a small reserve of Footsie in stock. Email and let me know what you're interested in and I'll see if we can work something out 😉💖 contact@voolenvineyarns.com
I thought the saying was 'there's more than one way to skin a rabbit'.
That Fruit Tingles shawl, though...
Can you please link the quilt book❤
❤
I would like to join the facebook group - how do i join? Is there a name of the group or??
When it comes to tossing my hand knit socks in the washer I used lingerie bags to keep them separate and then pull them out to air dry once the cycle is over
I actually used to do this! It's a great tip and definitely helps prevent felting/fading. Granted, my whole living room would be covered with damp handknit socks 😂
What is the name of you Facebook group
So it’s a quilting MAL? Ok it’s not on the channel-especially since it’s not knitting.
The MAL is open to any craft.
@@Voolenvine I don’t see how since it’s based on a quilt
@@knittygirlone3391 The Makealong was inspired by me wanting to take on a challenging quilt project. If there's a big, ambitious project you've been eyeing in knitting, crochet, quilting, weaving, or any craft, I figured this would be a great chance for us to dive in together and support each other. So, no matter what your craft is, feel free to jump in! 😊
More than one way to skin a cat. Bella & Judgy, don't listen.
😂
So true, don’t you hate the phrase? Also “killing time”-who wants to waste time of all things?!?! 😊
