    Hi Deidre,
    I was just getting ready to go out when I recd your alert and like other times I go back to the videos and cannot retrieve them. You are one of my favorites so I told myself my donut craving and coffee out can wait. My Aunt passed away in 2021 a favorite aunt one month before my Mom passed away. In Spring time she picked panseys from her garden and other flowers and she made me a lovely book Mark using that clear like sheet protector like you used. She was not sick it was just her time to go buy one day I popped into her mind and she thought I would love flowers from my home town. The colors have stayed which is remarkable going back to Spring 2021. I keep the bookmark in my Bible. I have been wanting to try her idea. But did not know how she made it. My Mom's favorite flower is the black eyed Susan. And I have a couple pressed from her yard. I would like to frame them but, I would like to get fresh ones from my Dad's yard and make a bold pattern on them to frame. I started looking at little homes to buy. My goal is to buy my first home this summer. Where I live now is a historical flat and nails and molly bolts are not allowed and many command strips are expensive. I bet Deidre with the sheet protector and your Elmer's glue stick (I have the same on hand) you can make floral window clings. Use the glue stick on the back side of the sheet protector and having the flowers in your window facing the inside of the house would fade them less quick. How about that idea I just thought of. 😊
    Also, I took have a hard time hanging framed items when they already have a cord. This is a BRILLIANT idea with a fork.
    My Dad has not been well all week and I have worried about him so much and often have cried. I have text him a couple times and no reply. I have prayed for him that he will always remember that I am his oldest and not forget me. I called him right before I saw your video and he answered the phone. He sounded weak but with a cherry voice he asked if this was his oldest beautiful daughter Rebekah and I replied with us this the best Dad in the world and he said he did not know who that was and he started laughing. Once I spoke to him I started my day over. I hung up from him and thought now I will run out and get some happy food a donut and coffee when I rec'd your alert. I am really psyched on trying to make floral labels too. I finally found a journal cover I really like. I wanted a vintage older looking one. I just gave to buy a book now from the Dollar Tree and glue it's pages into the binding of the old cover. I haven't really known where to begin, how to get started what shall be in my first page. But, my Mom and I loved butterflies so I want to add butterflies to the first page. Deidra, at the Dollar Tree that is 45 min away from me they had a 25 pack of die cut wood butterflies. I bought one pack hoping to make earrings out of 2 but they will be wonky hanging sideways. Just he other day I wanted to paint a couple to glue to my cards I make for Easter but I wondered how to paint them where they would be steady. And paint would not be wasted. Putting them on 3M tape is an awesome idea. When I paint more I am going to take a photo of it and post it on Instagram with a shout out to you. I have so many wonderful ideas today. I bought myself a mini drill for Christmas from Amazon and I got one for my Dad too. I am hoping my little home will have a nice laundry room and your cut down jug will be ideal to mount on a nice board or into the wall (I have a drill now 😊) and put ribbon over the sharp maybe edges and throw my laundry pods in them. Even in a shed would be cool to put garden gloves in or those mini dirt pots etc. You and the other DIYer I always enjoy. Her name escaped me in 2 seconds I one day wrote to you using her name. Wow, I am drawing a blank. I have been worrying about my Dad and now I am wondering about me. Have a wonderful day and thanks for posting all these wonderful ideas.
    Love, Rebekah in VA

    I've done similar using laminating pouches then cut into bookmark shapes. Punch a hole. Add ribbon. I zigzagged around. Had kids give to teachers. Later found a laminator at thrift for $5. It broke so used an iron on the pockets, I also printed photos of kids on vellum. Added fliers and cut I heart shape with ribbon to hang for grandparents. Did wedding memories with dates with her bouquet. If you iron flowers to laminate use parchment paper and mostly do edges. Flowers can scorch.

    5:35 This technique works absolutely perfectly. I have a tendency to let mine sit for a while just because I’m still getting a project ready so just know if you let them sit a long time (even overnight) they still work. I have used this technique for custom graphics that went into resin pieces and they all turned out exceptionally well. 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼

    When u use page protector for bigger sticker u could stick flower slightly towards edge or do some tiny sticker on 4 corners else 2 page protectors are used less optimally.

    If these were put on a wooden surface would you just seal it with a clear paint?

  • @elisianarts
    @elisianarts 2 месяца назад

    For the stickers, when using the page protector, why do you have to take the backing off and move it to the parchment paper? Can't you just build your sticker on it with the backing still on then peel off the backing when you're ready to stick it to something? That would save the parchment paper so there would be less waste. Is there a reason that wouldn't work and it has to be on the parchment paper?
