    I think Gutn Tog needs to be put up for national or even international recognition for his superb reporting on the Volcano eruption. Amazing shots, good commentary. Very clear reporting.

      This is no supurb reporting! A very unrestful cmerahandling, in- and outzooms every now and then makes this film a disturbing experience. Try to get a filming course first!

    • @mramsch
      @mramsch 3 года назад +2

      @@blas789 Well, it's no disturbing experience to me (and obviously many others), but an enjoyable one!
      So your statement is no fact at all but just your opinion. Which I do respect and suggest to you to better move on to channels you can enjoy more. Be kind to yourself and don't torture yourself with videos you don't like!

    The lava tubes from a shield volcano (Newberry) in Central Oregon can extend 20 km or more underground. The magna that comes from the mantle of the earth is very hot and fluid, and the lava tubes are effective at delivering it over long distances. You are lucky enough to see this effect in real time

    • @annaksfrog
      @annaksfrog 3 года назад

      Yes, and the Ape Caves on the edge of Mount Saint Helens in Washington are lava tubes that you can walk into. Can’t remember how many miles, maybe 1 or 2? Fun to do!

    Brave and dapper man! You are doing not only great service to the general onlooker, but for science as well.
    It’s highly dramatic and enlightening about volcanism, the way you give an overview over this gigantic ongoing.
    Every volcano on the globe is extremely unruly, but nowhere else exists a guide like you.

    Has anything like this ever been seen before!!??!! Land of Fire and Ice !! I learnt about this when I was at school in Matric in 1966. We had someone come to our school and show us an 8mm movie about Iceland. I visited Iceland in 1977 and was so impressed with all the hot springs and the way homes were heated by the geothermal energy..... such an interesting country. THANK YOU for your video reports..... Such almighty power from this volcano.

    I have read a lot about geology and volcanism and how geologists put together the history of a given volcano, and most of it is, of course, from the far past (by human standards), but, amazingly a lot can be discerned.
    But being able to watch this in the making via these videos is amazing. Layer by layer, formation by formation, much of which will get covered up, we get to see it building itself. So incredibly fascinating.

      Agree. I've wanted to see this side for a long time, and am grateful for your great work, but it would be even better if you panned and zoomed less often and more slowly. I like the wide angle views to properly understand how the flows fit into the countryside.
      With many videos (some of yours and other Utubers) I find myself leaning over my desk and trying to peer round the edges of the computer screen for a better view - this process does not work!

      I've politely asked him many times to always remember to pan slow but my & other's requests/comment seems to go unnoticed and or deleted!
      Now, when I subscribed to Roman/Guten Tag, I believe he was only at 7k subscribers and now look at him, almost 36k subs! Gaining 300-500 subs a day, which between that and the views, the money will be rolling in!
      _So I hope he buys a tripod and or a Gimbel, both would enhance his already stunning videos even better!_
      And of course, *panning* slower!
      Heck at this rate, he most likely could use some YT funds to rent a helicopter!?
