I've grew up on Milwaukee northside my whole life, and I can say that its miserable to stay here. All the good jobs are out in the suburbs, no opporutunity, violence is high, the school system is terrible, & the whole city is segregated. Im moving next year because if I stay here much longer, I will end up in prison.
Did a research project relative to Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) in the late 70s and Milwaukee was one of the cities that came under the radar. CDBG are formula based federal support to cities & communities to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons. Of all the cities that we researched, Milwaukee was the worse in their allocations to low income communities. Much of their funding initiatives were politically driven by the city's local politicians that set on the committees that oversaw the appropriation of funding, This misallocation was conducrted in a climate where segregration in housing, economic opportunities, education and incarceration were well known issues in the inner city. Milwaukee has no one to blame for the issues it is encountering today with rampant gang criminal activity and a sense of tailored community disenfranchisement. They laid the seed many years ago and did an excellent job in ensuring its growth towards the current situation. Congratulation on your number 1 status - a status well deserved
Black people want to preserve historic black neighborhoods, the same way Jewish, Hispanic, Chinese and muslim neighborhoods do to preseve their culture. Please don't confuse cultural historic neighborhoods with segregation or gentrification.
See they won't take initiation and try to better themselves though a lot of people in Milwaukee would rather sit at gas stations telling everybody what kind of drugs they got for sale
I live here in Milwaukee and I worked in the Building Trades for ten years I learned a lot but first off to work in Milwaukee u have to be rpp and coin certified while others can come from different counties and states and get jobs just like that another thing I was invited to a Brewers game with a company called DF Tomasini and I had the worst time in my life the workers wives was all over me one lady said to me I don't like black people so I just had enough and left and the same company laid me off when I went and bought a new truck tried to get back to work with them next season didn't here nothing from them I can go on and on with my experience in the construction field one company laid me off to hire one of his buddies like really where they do that at and they bid these jobs down here in Milwaukee and only have to hire one of us and soon as the job is done so are u if they don't have no more work here in Milwaukee so I'm just saying Milwaukee is a ruff place for my people NBS

first of all there are jobs out there.lot of black people though like the idea of being lazy.not all of them, but some of them. the biggest excuse so many of them people use is that ''the good jobs are in Cudahy or Franklin or out in Menominee falls''.whats wrong with taking the bus out to those areas? if the kids from the ''hood'' can ride the MCTS into the suburbs to go to school, then whats wrong with taking the bus into the ''burbs'' for work ? heck, there's even work avaliable in downtown milwaukee
Honestly I don't think Baltimore is that bad have you been to Milwaukee? It's awful there. parts of Tx are too it's so bad I'm returning to Baltimore at least I have the option to support black owned businesses in Bmore. With that said Baltimore has a long way to go but there are a lot worse places trust me.
rose l guess it depend where you are . Ive heard milwaukee was rough especially black on black violence. As of now bmore is still trying to break homicide records every year , its been number one for 5 years now i think since the riots ...
@@OGMeatball Baltimore is always ranked in the top 5 for murder for as long as I can remember. Milwaukee is rough for blacks. The city is segregated by a highway that keeps black people in the hood. There's no jobs and no opportunity. The laws are too harsh it's set up to have everyone catch felonies especially black people. There is racism in Baltimore but there are alot of people who are cool. In Milwaukee I could feel the racial tension in the air they were not nice or friendly at all.

Wise decision, Kenny.
How could any black man in professional sports want to play in such a state or city or play for their universities.
Even the cowboy wants out!!!!! Clark sees Milwaukee as a loss....
Sheriff Clark leaving was a huge loss for Milwaukee. He didn't buy into the left wing bullshit and told it like it is!
Wooo hooo, Milwaukee is # 1!!! Wait.... What 😨
