    Thanks for this video man! I figured that's how it all worked but it's nice to have visual conformation.

    I just got an sv650 just like that one and my spark plugs aren’t sparking. I replaced the coil packs and still no spark. Do you have any ideas what i should check for?
    Also thank you for this video it was very helpful, my fuel tank was very rusted when i got the bike we were going to order a new pump but now maybe i can find a used one

    I'm infuriated with the dealership I bought my 2008 Suzuki GSX650F from. I had a month before the pump died. They've had it for 2 weeks now. If it wasn't under warranty I would have done it myself. Great video btw!

    Just dealt with this issue on my own SV. Why not clean the high fuel filter and screen while in there? (unless you did?)

    • @2WR
      @2WR  8 лет назад

      I did after checking to make sure it was functional. Had to pull the tank back off to fix the big dent in it, paint etc so I cleaned it up while it was sitting on my work bench for a few weeks. Just something I forgot to address in the video.

    When you turn the key on should the fuel make a noise? I don’t believe mine is and I’m worried he fuel pump may be shot. Any reply is appreciated.

      That sound is the fuel pump cycling on.

    hey 2 Wheeled Rider, wanted to ask you something. I have the same exact bike like you do but the problem with mine is that simply won't start. I fully recharged the battery and once there nothing comes up. No lights, no motor crank, nothing. Any idea what may be a problem so I can know where to look? All my fuses look ok, I think but not sure....

    • @2WR
      @2WR  8 лет назад

      Are you sure the battery is good? If so, I'd go to the fuse block next. Could also have a bad ignition switch.

      +2 Wheeled Rider would you be able to mega abides explaining few things about wiring from battery to wherever needs to go?
      Maybe explain few things. I would really appreciate it.

      Gonna be tough to do via messaging and email. After you've checked your fuses and everything looks good, I would take a multi-meter to test to make sure you're getting power to your ignition switch. If power is being fed to it but you're getting nothing when it's coming on, you have a bad ignition switch. Still double-check the battery first to make sure it's not bad. Sometimes it's something REALLY simple like that.

      +2 Wheeled Rider thanks man, will try and see where I end up.

    Anyone know where to find these fuel pumps nowadays

    • @2WR

      While in this video I used an OEM. I've been using Quantum pumps in all my bikes lately with great results. Here's a link to one for an SV650 amzn.to/3ztcWqs

    Hello
    Can you help me please!!!

    Ok I have the same bike my stator went out after changeing it my fuel.pump wouldn't prime I had a mechanic look at it took a wire jammed it between the relay connectors and got the pump to run I took it back cause he didn't seem he knew wtf he was doing I've replaced my relay and my fuel pump and still can't get my fuel pump to prime up I get a f1 message any ideas

    • @2WR
      @2WR  5 лет назад +1

      First, run a hard wire from the battery to make sure the fuel pump isn't bad (which I doubt it is). Second, just because the relay is new doesn't mean it works...I've gotten bad ones out of the box before so you may want to test another. Assuming the fuel pump works and the relay isn't bad, you're going to have to start to trace wires to make sure you don't have a damaged one or a bad ground somewhere. It's not a hard job but it could be a time-consuming one.

    • @billybaker8529
      @billybaker8529 5 лет назад

      If I jump the relay the fuel.pump runs I've tried three relays that's what's got me the pump we'll run but I've tried different relays and nothing but if I hard wire the relay the pump.runs it just won't shut off dew to the pressure build up

    • @billybaker8529

      @@2WR ty I'll try tracking wires tomorrow it is weird though it all started when my battery drained due to stator going out replaced that and the crude can't think of the other part for paower drain issues hard wired the relay made the fuel.pump run to start the bike to test to make sure chargeing now I appreciate it bro

      it willnt start it used to turn over n go for a second then it would idle at 1 rpms then it kinda slowly died

    • @2WR
      @2WR  7 лет назад

      How long has it been sitting? Also, do you hear the fuel pump "start up" when you turn on the bike?

    • @christopherwyatt8428
      @christopherwyatt8428 7 лет назад

      I'm pretty sure I hear it start up I can video it if that will help n this all happened when I was out riding it died all of a sudden like I was out of gas n my gas light had just came on so I filled it back up then it still would start for a second but then die immediately again

    • @2WR
      @2WR  7 лет назад

      It could be a bad pump, it could also just be clogged up. I'd take it out and give it a good cleaning.
