Really enjoyed this podcast, especially watching the 2nd half of it after we'd won! Unbelievable how a single connect to the ball in the 90th minute can change everyone's perspective completely. If that hadn't happened, I think nobody would have been happy and RE might have been on his way. As it is, the rebuild is on. With the emphasis on RE.
Gents, you previously (finally) highlighted our propensity for injuries. This is an issue my brother (in particular) and I have banged on about for a few seasons. Yes, there are some mitigating circumstances - our budget means we tend to have to take a punt on some players with a chequered injury history (but not the stupid high % RE has done: NJ was smarter here) - our style of play (under NJ the high press and under RE (err..... what style?) of having to chase without the ball 2/3rds the time) puts more pressure on the players - neither NJ nor RE ever trust in youth players BUT, the fact is if you compare us with other clubs, no-one else has as many, serious lower leg injuries that arise from non match time. I've compared our "fitness and conditioning" team to Field Marshall Hague: they are more likely to maim and kill our own players than the opposition would. They all need to be fired and should have been long ago.
I remember when the Futcher twins were drafted in aged 18. They were good enough and really raised the mood. I was also watching a game on RUclips where Tim Breaker was storming up and down the right wing - commentator mentioned he was 18. Why is Edwards so afraid of trying youth when the senior pros are playing so appallingly??
Come on Rob, give the Luton boys a chance, lets see JJ and Nelson in the team, playing in a 442, cant be any worse. I lnow he wont do that so I am with James and predict another dull 1-1.
This is a difficult one to forecast…If we carry on playing like we have for months now, and I haven’t seen any indication it’s going to change, I can’t see we can continue riding our luck indefinitely. So, I’m going for a 2-1 defeat.
442 agree that JJ comes in and pelly in for me at least he will fight and talk/organise. Also bring Brown in if Eli has a knock. And please just play normal football in normal positions . 1 nil Luton
Atmospere is better in europe at the moment. I went to Milan vs Brugge much louder, flares massive flags and better sound systems go further than seeing our crowds sitting orderly
I only jumped onto the edwards out bandwagon after Saturday because of reverting back to a back 3. If rob does the same tonight, im convinced he's looking for the sack/payout because anybody with half a brain can see a back 3 hasnt worked and robs far from stupid.
I had a very bad dream that Rob played Moses as a left centre back and put JJ on the wing. It’s a depressing time when everyone but the coaching twits and manager can see the glaring issue with this crazy back 3 system. That being said, I fully expect Rob to keep the back 3, nothing will change and Stoke to come away with a 2-0 win. If and a big one, Edward’s finally wakes up and makes its a 442/433 we can grab a hard fought 1-0. We can’t pass, we can’t create, we don’t play as a unit. That isn’t the Luton way.
Good listen as always lads. Feeling somewhat pessimistic after Jimbo’s lovely sales pitch at the end. Terrible game, between two out of form teams… 0-0 for me
Listening to Rob's pre-match last night it sounds to me like he's checked out? I therefore wouldn't expect much change in formation tonight. Shame really.
The thing that fills me with dread is always playing a team that haven't won in awhile as that suggest will be the fall team for their rise back to winning ways. Plus this of course under the current leadership doesn't improve my faith on that feeling. Also we look like an afraid limp injured weak animal at this time that doesn't fill me with any confidence that we can hold our own against ANY team at the moment in the Championship. Opposing managers must have a real luxury knowing that if they score first then we will fold like a deckchair in winter, or if by chance the Town score first then the opposition manager only has to respond with get one goal back and they will then capitulate like a Christmas cracker and implode from within... Where is the fight? Where is the heart? Where is the passion? Where is our famous and loved Luton Town?
I've got a feeling Rob will stay until the end of the year and that maybe we already have a replacement lined-up. It's simply not been good enough. Something is clearly wrong behind the scenes and it will not get better as long as the current status quo remains in place. Personally, I think tonight's performance will be no better than any of our other recent outings. To have a chance of winning football matches your players have to want to win football matches. I don't see that desire in our present set-up.
I am going for 3-0 to Luton. Good video. I am for adding JJ and ZN as starting. Their goalie is as good as Kaminski. Take the Captaincy off of Morris and make McGuiness Captain.
If Kev isn't Christian and Jimbo an atheist/agnostic I would be very surprised. No issue either way, and obviously may be wrong, and also this is an irrelevant comment. A heart from LTST wouldn't be an endorsement of what I've just stated as a fact.
I'm going for an even more boring game than Saturday, 0-0 and a review podcast that's just paint drying for an hour! 😂 I've lost all hope of changes other than what's forced by injury. He'll play Hashi at CB before he plays JJ at LB. Anderson looks so so out of match practice he needs to be managed back not thrown in from the start. Rob has his faves and his non-faves, Nelson and Johnson have barely played a minute between them since September. Same story for Pelly.

We have to go with a back four with JJ in there, I'm going for a close 2-1 town
Come on Rob, give the Luton boys a chance, lets see JJ and Nelson in the team, playing in a 442, cant be any worse. I lnow he wont do that so I am with James and predict another dull 1-1.
It maybe a crap game on a crap pitch but we need to get behind the lads again....

2 - 1 to the town.

1 nil Luton
If Edwards sticks with a similar shape to Saturday then he’s literally daring the board to fire him.

As always, 3-1 to Luton - it has to come in eventually!

I am afraid Luton will continue with their relegation form, 3 points to Stoke City.
I can't see anything different happening as we are in big trouble. Going for a 2-1 win for Stoke.

If you're saying that their defence can be get at but their goalie is good, then you are quoting Luton at the moment.
If we don't win this one then it's definite relegation problems
1-0 Luton🧡 COYH
Going for a narrow boring tight 1-0 Luton win
Why are they not playing pelly ??? So think it be stoke win

I would say Kaminski is better than theirs, just our defence has let Thomas down
@@leedonlan5408nah, johansen is definitely better than Kaminski
Prediction: Luton 1 - Stoke 0
2-1 luton Taylor gets winner in88th min

Same old players 3 at the back again...
3-0 Town
