I can honestly say I’ve only drank to drunkenness once. I felt so horrible the next day I said “I get the message, body, never again.” I can count on one hand how many drinks I have in a year. If you get drunk and it doesn’t harm your life you do you. Not for me though
I've drank to the point where my liver is dying. but like yea we each do us.
I get a headache after just one beer, so drinking is just not for me. It's not so bad though, it's way easier to stay fit when you don't drink.

My dad was a fireman for 32 years. He always said that as soon as he retired he wanted to smoke weed again. He was finally able to accomplish this, took like 3 hits, and was barely able to walk lol. He said the current stuff is not like the stuff he was smoking in the 70s, and he hasn't smoked since.

My story is kinda like Nikko said, my dad had fixed a jack and coke and it was 90% jack, he was outside working on his tractor and I was playing, probably 7-8 yrs old. Ran up took a big swig and swallowed and was like wtf took another thinking the coke was watered down or something. 15 mins later riding a bike was the hardest thing in my life 😂

My young daughter started to call me a drug addict like my brother. I smoked cigarettes, he smoked crack. My daughter thought this was an equivalent due to an over zealous teacher during drug awareness month. So my first drug would have to be tobacco.

Smoked my first joint at age 14 in 1974 I've tried a few other things over the years but it's still my favorite today in fact I just finished a pre roll , I don't drink alcohol or take any medications other than weed

I actually waited 8 months after getting out before smoking weed, and it was prescribed to me before I started. It helps my chronic pain and PTSD, I seriously recommend it if conventional means doesn't wok.

I did oxy for a 2 years and then fentanyl for 3 after that. Died twice, and ended up costing my family half a million dollars in medical and treatment expenses. Thankfully I’ve been sober from everything except caffeine and cigarettes for a year and 9 months now. I do not recommend drug addiction, getting clean is like fighting yourself and is so hard, and most people who become drug addicts, will die drug addicts.
So the first time I did shrooms we went to a local park, and I just remember the sky and clouds were moving the next thing I know my friends found me in this rose maze… they were just like “Matt matt Matt” and I sat up and was like “hello!” 🤣🤣🤣

Coming from a military family, I can't speak for everyone, but some dudes are hardcore and went through pain, and some are the ones to defend those dudes.

First drug I've ever done besides marijuana at 12, was used my mom's prescribed anxiety medication called Clonazepam. At 13 years old, I took a handful and almost overdosed on my way to middle school. I was wobbly. Emotional. And somehow so worried my hair wasn't looking well enough.

If tobacco counts, I started dipping Copenhagen when I was 14. Got drunk at 16 for the first time, and didn't try weed until I was 30.
I was prescribed speed for my ADHD in the 70's-80's, took it until I went to bootcamp in 1985.
First drug i smoked was weed when i was 14..., after the military i started doing shrooms (micro dose), lsd, k2, drinking, etc... it was bad...life started to spiral, but lucky me i have a strong support system who helped me kick all that shit.. i still smoke a joint here and there but nothing compared to 2014.
An officer manager I worked with about 25 years ago not only did blow in the 80's, he was running weight through his tug boat company and 24hr "newstands". When I met him he was a deacon in his church, running the office for a computer company, but looking at the jewelry he had was an indicator he had a past.

The people who take Ritalin or Adderall recreationally CRACK ME UP! You can tell they don't need it based on how they describe how it hit them. I've got ADHD and the only thing stimulants did for me was make me so nauseous that I couldn't function. Which was way more disruptive than my actual ADHD. lol

That’s quite literally how I feel with opioids. Completely understand the danger they can present, but I’m VERY careful to only take as prescribed and police myself.
I’m on them because I will LITERALLY black out from the pain. Got in a wreck from passing out behind the wheel once! No more driving for awhile after that, but the incident DID finally get doctors to consider that I might actually be in as much pain as I was claiming to be.

I take adhd capsules pills daily and my brother got mad at me one day and took one if my pills, dumb the medicine out and filled it with rocks. We “love” eachother.
My first "drug" was homemade peach brandy. IT WAS SO GOOD!!!
My first actual drug was 2009 when I tried marijuana for my chronic pain issues. It tasted HORRIBLE, but it did help me sleep. 🙂

Hilariously, my worst "drug" experience was when I was 8. I had poison sumac and had been prescribed steroids after my hospital stay. When filling the prescription, someone missed a decimal point and I ended up taking 10 times the dose I was supposed to. ODed on steroid pills, had a terrible 3 hours with hallucinations and violence, and back to the hospital I go.
did you ever sue the hospital for that? you honestly could considering they fucked up and you were simply following what the prescription told you to take
@Aqua42 Nah I tripped balls and my mom knew lawsuits are costly. We were too poor to even think about it. Once she knew I was gonna be okay, it didn't matter anymore.
