Not an induction plate, just an electrical connection to the heating element contained in the bottom of the kettle. Also kettles will automatically turn themselves off when they reach a boil. Looking forward to your next tutorial video on how to open a kitchen drawer.

Not sure why I was recommended this but are you sure it's induction and not just a plate with a connection point in the middle? To use induction would introduce unnecessary energy loss

how can you be so sure?

@@DIYPinto The laws of physics and how induction works
Induction is a great replacement for hotplates and such but it has heavy loss at distances, like the distance between the metal plate touching the water and the base
Also the switch it on the pot and not the plate

US kettles are slow. I can fill mine in the UK and fully boil it in 3.50 mins.

@starcade90 That’s a good point! Kettles definitely vary in speed depending on where you are!

I just had to watch this. Clearly produced for idiots with erroneous information. It IS AN ELECTRICAL CONNECTION BASE, it is NOT an induction plate.
Please, for your next video can you do a "HOW TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS" so that you and whoever this was produced for do NOT get it wrong again.
    Words fail me.

Wow I just happened to find this but you are SOOOO EFFEN rude!!! He didn't HAVE to do this video. He's trying to help others. If it doesn't pertain to you, move on. Some people act so brave and rude when they hide behind their damn screens
