Thank you so much!!! 🐧 If you're using lemons, squeeze one to two full lemons and add equal amounts of water to the kettle (I also cut the squeezed lemons into slices and add those as well) then follow the same steps. If you're using baking soda, add 2 cups or 500ml of water to the kettle and 1 teaspoon of baking soda then follow the same steps. Happy cleaning!

Haha, Idk if my work was worth the effort, BUT I know you adding that emptying it out and cleaning it once a month was a helpful tip. I am using vinegar, as i've done before. I watched this to see what other people do. I would like to know if I use lemon, if I just squeeze it in and boil with water, how much baking soda, etc. For right now I'm sticking with the vinegar as I usually do. This was still so helpful. Even after waiting 30 mins and reboiling. I then used citric acid (didn't try lemon but maybe it would've been the same) 2Tbsps per liter of distilled water and IT WORKED in one boil! No waiting. Citric acid is the best!
Not sure if I did something wrong but I filled the kettle half full with white vinegar and water and the kettle decided to foam allover the place when it was just about finished boiling 😂

I exclusively use filtered water with my kettles and its a night and day difference! Very little to no build up after months of use!

Yes the filter can go back in. You can wash the kettle with soap to remove the vinegar smell
