Awesome. I used to mix lemon and vinegar but since I can't get the white vinegar here I was looking for alternative. Just gave this a go and after boiling I can see that the limescale is already gone! I guess the need to wait for water to cool is to prevent burns.
I whole-heartedly support any and all anti-lime military technologies. This is particularly fantastic because it turns the lemon, the lime's natural ally, against him. Clear, concise and instructional guidance for cadets and new soldiers. Keep up the good work.
@@YummieliciouzFoodRecipes Hello Mr Yummieliciouz. Thank you for your thoughtful reply. Always enjoy making the acquaintance of a fellow veteran of the Great Lime Civil War. I served with 4th Div. Parachute Corps. With whom did you serve? And Sir, thank you for your service.
I can vouch that it worked really well .. and my kettle was FULL of limescale .. had to use more lemon though because mine had much more limescale :) Edit: My kettle was metal too .. doesn't have to be glass.
Thank you so much for this method. I tried it this morning and was not expecting 100% results. The limescale at the bottom of my glass kettle has completely vanished with the lemon juice..it's amazing results I'm so stoked 😁😁😁 My husband thought I had bought a new kettle. By the way I used a baking soda paste on the outside of the kettle and it's sparkling clean ☺️
OMG it worked like magic. To be honest I thought it's not gona work, bcus I have the same kettle and I use to clean it with scrub and it always take a lot of time to clean , plus muscles 😒. But I watched your video today and thought give it a try. I was shocked that just boiling some water with lemon does it all. It looks like a brand new. I thank you so much for sharing the idea. Keep it up 😊
Thanks. It worked a treat. Base plate went from burnt to gleaming. Inside was clear as anything. Outside had too much buildup so needed a little help from fridge cleaner.
Thank you! It worked very well. I am house sitting, and the kettle here is badly blackened and I could not even read all the numbers in the kettle to see where is minimum. This worked in about 15 min I looked over and saw it gone!
I cleaned the inside with other items but my outside was dirty. I used your hack and I will from now own use your hack for inside and out! Bling inside and out🌟Thanks for post
I just bought a bottle of lemon juice (30 cents in The Netherlands for 200 ml). Put it in my kettle boiler and in 20 seconds (just let it cook) scale like this gone. So a little less environmentally friendly but much less time consuming.
Lemons are great for removing limescale from kettles as no chemical smell like white vinegar 👍👍, it’s best to let the kettle cool down overnight don’t like the smell of white vinegar
wow amazing this really works! I just squeezed a bit of lemon into the water and let it boil and sit as you said. thank you so much this is really helpful;)
Wow!!!!! It actually works! Hahaha that caught me so off guard I wasn’t expecting! So happy! I have kids so i dont want to use clr like my dad is suggesting. This is awesome! Really! Thank you so so much
I was aware of bicarbonate or vinegar as cleaning agents, but lemon that's new to me. I like how you clean & chop the remaining peel, nice infomercial YUMMiELiCiOUZ. You have recipes as well, there seems no end to your domestic talents :})
Liron Evgii It depends on how often it is used, the more the kettle is used the more the limescale build up. So I would say it is best to clean it once you start to notice any limescale build up. Thank you.
I didnt know what limescale was and almost bought a new kettle because of it lol 😆 now I know. Saved some bucks. Thanks
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching.
🙈😂
Lol
54p for a bag of lemons 🍋 I also do this on a regular basis 👍
Works perfectly! Now I do it on a regular basis when I see scale beginning to accumulate.

Waw! Yup! Working! I am amazed how fast. I just boiled and it did it. And i have tried many things and nothing worked. This did. Thank you

Glass.
How often to boil a kettle? Every month?
Liron Evgii It depends on how often it is used, the more the kettle is used the more the limescale build up. So I would say it is best to clean it once you start to notice any limescale build up. Thank you.
What is a few hours? Can I soak the lemons in the boiling water for an hour or do you need more than that?
Leslie Smith It is best to leave it overnight. Thank you.
Thanks for the tip and your kettle looks good too. Never thought NEXT also made household items ☺
Thanks. Yes they sell household items too.
will it work on steel kettle too
shalini ahuja Yes it will. Thanks for watching.
will this affect the taste of the water after being cleaned?
No, first boil some water and pour it away, then start to use the next boiled water. Thank you for watching.
Thank you 😊
How long do you let it boil for?
Allow the kettle to boil just once. Thank you.
What if you don't have a top to your kettle
i thought it says we can wet the kettlefrom the outside
vinegar is better, add pure malt or white vinegar and boil the kettle
