My name is Meredith and yes, you can absolutely use any other type of comb for quilling, including a hair comb. The size of your finished project will be different depending on the size of your comb and how close the teeth are together.
I was having a hard time finding a good size comb so I tried a comb for cleaning paint brushes and it works well. The tines are a bit shorter but sometimes that is a good thing. 😊
