Glasgow is about 2 n half hours drive from Newcastle.

Ha, I saw the very same Facebook advert and it grabbed my attention as I'm going on the QM2 next summer and will need to get from Scotland to Southampton. I'd normally fly but my rules for this particular journey, which will end in Victoria Canada, are to use surface transport all the way. After seeing the video I can safely say that the Glasgow-Southampton leg of that journey will be by.........train. Overnight bus? Forget it.

People with large amount of luggage: I had the same when traveling from London to Manchester in early June on a night bus (there was a railway strike so the bus was full).
A big guy barged past me in the queue and he had a massive trunk which probably weighted at least 30kg. The bus driver warned him that this is not allowed (and suddenly he pretended not to understand English) but let him on anyway.
