This one was really hard to write. While this song could be about Applejack missing Winona, it's mostly about me missing my own dog. Never in my life had I ever grown attached to an animal of any kind, until about 3 years ago. Willow was incredibly sensitive to my emotions, and would keep me company 24/7 when I was sick. She had a sassy attitude if you teased her, and she was highly possessive and protective of those she loved. If the cat even so much as looked at her wrong, it would become an old western showdown. She was always there to calm us when we needed it.
We miss her so much. ❤

Had to say goodbye to our 9 year old black lab Whit yesterday (had a tumor on his heart that was making it hard for him). This song hits differently now after having experienced a dog’s death. Sent it to all my family. He was a good, handsome, sleepy baby boy and we’ll miss him dearly. Maybe he met Willow but hopefully he’s a puppy again and playing with his cat siblings. Rest in peace Whit 💖🙏😭

This song really connected with me, since I know what it's like to see various pets pass away, and how much I miss them. I've grown up with pets all my life: dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, hamsters, gerbils and turtles. It was only about two years ago when our last dog, Willow, had to be put down due to her developing cancer and deteriorating health... heh, and now that I read the description, it's a little eerie your dog shared the same name, but that's not too surprising, and I'm sorry for your loss. She was such a big lapdog, not understanding just how large she was to be doing so, but I loved those moments all the same.

Finally a song about Winona. She was always so sweet. Its a shame that there arent more songs about her. A song collection of the pets would be cool too. A very sweet and relaxing song. It calms me in a difficult time. I also buried my latest pet last weekend. He was a white guinea pig named cookie who was very sweet and fluffy. Will never forget him.

This pulled my heartstrings and made me teared up. This song made me think of the good times with my cat who passed away in Oct 2022. He was my best friend for the past 15 years and to lose him hit me like a freight train. I still miss him to this very day and my life will never be the same without him
