Well, here we are again. Another album release, another song about Twilight outliving her friends and being sad. Anyone here familiar with Dire Straits? If not, they're an amazing band. Very underrated. This song is a parody of their classic called "Brothers In Arms".

That's something I always feared and know it will happen to even the greatest so I worry how long untill I to will have been forgoten
@@Deweygreen1 People are always forgotten over time, I don't worry too much though, because it would be unfair to those forgotten to try to remember as many people as possible.
This song is so sad but beautiful both the title and the lyrics really spoke to me, especially since it raised the question of whether or not Twilight will outlive her friends...but even if she did, Twilight would feel alone most of the time, but deep down she's knows that her friends are always with her not by her side but in her heart, and plus she still has so many wonderful memories of them, and as long as Twilight cherishes those memories she'll never truly be alone.
That's pretty much what the songs talks about, but even so i agree.
I couldn't said it better myself.
And the finale definitely hinted at the possibility.
I'll have to listen to this when falling all the way down in snakes and ladders

As soon as the lyrics started, I guessed the subject matter. Then I paid attention to the picture. And realized, I was right. And I was mad. And sad. And wrestled with whether or not I was emotionally capable to make it all the way through the song. I know the dark side of immortality. And this is why I would never want it. This song is beautiful. Thank you.

After hearing that guitar part at the start, and before reading the description, I wanted to comment "very Dire Straits there with that guitar part!", and then I read the description, and this is actually meant as a ponification of Dire Straits' "Brothers In Arms", so no wonder that sounded so similar!! When I read that in the description I applauded IRL because I was so happy. A Dire Straits ponification was the thing I didn't know I needed. So awesome with the perfect tone of the guitar like in the original, and your vocals that do sound more like Mark Knopfler's for this one, but that may also just be my mind haha. It definitely still has your signature, and this ponification is awesome. Along the quotes at the start, very emotional too. We know that Twilight is not outliving her friends, but such alternate fan takes are always appreciated. Love what you did, spreading the love for gold bands of old to newer generations too, that's so awesome! Now I wish for Sultans of Swing and Money For Nothing ponifications hehe :D

I don’t think I’ve cried this fast before listening to one of your songs. Either it’s the lyrics or just the cover art in this but it just makes me tear up for some reason. And that’s amazing.

The first time I heard this piece I cried, just plain broke down and cried. Out of all the songs I've heard few have ever had the power to do that to me. This song is right up there with Hoping and Stay for making me cry like a little child. Man, this song hits hard. Last time, I felt like this was at my father's funeral, and it still feels strange and scary knowing that all things come to an end. But at least I have these songs and fond memories to keep me going despite knowing that all things shall return to dust.

It makes me feel cry
I loved this song from the first time I heard it, even if it made me cry. Just this past week I played it in the car during my great grandmothers funeral procession... it made my mom cry. In an odd way... I like how sad it makes me feel.
It feels like a worryingly relevant spin on current events but so with a spin on "While my Guitar gently weeps". It's filled with heart and pain, while longing for something long past .

This song hits hard, had tears streaming down my face. Almost like I can envision how Twilight would feel at the very moment in the picture, a hollow and hopeless feeling. I love this song, and it seems night after night I keep coming back to it. My soul aches when I hear this song in a way I can't describe. Honestly, I relate this song to MLP: FiM ending. Good stuff 4everfreebrony . I can't seem to find a single song by you that I don't adore.
Good song, hits pretty hard home for me. Works well for the show and as for someone who has lost a lot of family and friends. Love your songs happy and sad in theme, they're of such a great quality.

This is so heart wrenching to see twi all by herself ... worst part is it kind of is proven in the last episode where the rest of the mane 5 are older and shes just taller and slightly aged , that she is either immortal or just has a much bigger life span.. fantastic job on this song btw.

I always loved this song. Having it covered here evokes the same feelings of sorrow and cimfort the source material does. The only thing to make it perfect would be to have Mark Knofler playing the gutair.
