    Hong Kong top talent pass is a good option if you have three years experience post graduation and went to one of top 100 universities in the world. You can do any job in HK under this scheme and even start your own business or be self-employed. The stuff about just moving to Singapore is a bit of a fantasy, however. They are strict with visas.

    As someone with ASD and ADHD, it's incredibly difficult for a lot us to compete in any industry due to natures sense of uncanny valley we can give if we don't mask. Which can make it worse if people have to know us for a long time aha. But we try our best.

    SG person here: to get into Singapore on a work visa, u need a job paying u minimum $5,600 per month.
    Jobs that pay u $5,600+ per month as a starting salary is top tier tech and finance firms. (Google, TikTok, JPM, Nomura)
    Singapore Local Grads are averaging 4.5k-5k range
    Ask yourself as a foreigner come in, are u competitive enough to ask for a minimum salary of 5.6k to be eligible for a E-pass work visa, can they not just hire locals instead?
    SG dont have a open border policy for skilled workers, they set policys in pace to only get the Crème de la crème and unfortunately that means at usually only top 3s (Oxbridge, LSE) have a good chance, and past 5th ranks (extremely difficult).

      @@tkilla1202 So it's alright if your lot (the "right" sort) come through our gaff, but if qualified Asians immigrate to the UK to work in the NHS, they still get told to piss off back home and the have locals kick up a massive stink about how it's "mass immigration"?

    YOU HAVE MATURITY AND ACUMEN WAY BEYOND YOUR YEARS.
    YOUR VIEWERS WOULD BENEFIT FROM HEARING ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND INFLUENCERS AND MENTORS.
    WHO HAS BEEN YOUR COLOSSUS IN SHAPING YOUR LIFE TO DATE. YOUR DAD. YOUR MUM. A SIBLING. A FRIEND. A SCHOOL TEACHER. A PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHOR/ADVISOR (e.g. Jim Rohn). OR IS IT A COMBINATION OF ALL OF THE ABOVE AS WELL AS A YEARN TO LEARN?

    9:09 - Exceeds 45% Tax - yeah, there is the 60% tax trap between 100-125K in the UK. Absolutely disgusting. Only thing you can do up to there is dump it in your pension to avoid the government spunking it on who knows what.

    I’ve got a physics degree and have been looking at jobs all over the place (Singapore, HK, and Dubai included). However I didn’t go to a RG uni due to having a tough time during my A-levels, and that seems to be the real issue. It seems as if the availability of good opportunities as a Graduate is non existent if you didn’t have your shit together at the ages of 16 to 18 (even though I got great GCSEs and a 2:1 at uni). I’ve primarily been looking for jobs in finance/trading, so if anyone has any advice on how to get a job in this field in a country like Singapore then I’m all ears. So far I have found the exact same challenges in getting a job in foreign countries as I have found in the UK, except at least the UK doesn’t have the visa barrier.

      Younger brother's a quant trader for Deutsche Bank HQ in Singapore. Mate, you'd need a BCom in Finance to work on a trading floor. BSc like Physics won't help much with that. Have you thought about getting into consulting?
      Drop me your email below and I'll try link you up with some options.

    been thinking about it. I graduated Architecture but work in a shop and have been applying to related fields and recently some fields that are still related but not architecture, but without any luck. I also live in London! You think 30-50K isn't great for a graduate salary? I graduated in 2008 and my first job as a Software Dev was £20K.

    • @bad209
      @bad209 16 дней назад +1

      cost of living and inflation mate. 30k from 2008 equates to 50k and 50k from 2008 equates 70k+ so your 20k would equate to around 40k todays money. so yes graduates today are severely short changed. And if your living in London a graduate needs around 50k just to be able to even live there - I've seen graduates paid 26-30k in London and are living with friends or parents just to survive - consider this also taxes on average are 5-9% higher as well.
