Great video Jeff. Perhaps you could include some crime statistics of the areas being discussed in future uploads. It would give the viewers an accurate portrayal of the differences between areas while allowing you to sound neutral/unbiased in your opinions.
Mary, in the video at this link below, I talk about some of that area and the new shipping container yard/terminal. I do need to do a more in-depth video on Tillmans corner though, hopefully coming soon. ruclips.net/video/g7fSmh7p2lY/видео.html
Is there a way can you do some interviews with successful business owners around mobile area because i wondering how they make money from their business planning to start my own business over there not too sure
Yes, across the bay is great. So many options on the Eastern shore. Check out my video below featuring Fairhope! ruclips.net/video/O2QvuiJIhi4/видео.html
How are Prichard’s finances going? They went bankrupt some years ago. My grandfather was born in Whistler and founded the Masonic Lodge there. During my elementary school years from first grade to seventh grade we lived in Alabama. The first grade year we lived in a furnished apartment between Spring Hill and The Old Shell Road. I went to the Old Shell Road School that year, 1950-1951. We were waiting for our house out in McIntosh to be built while my dad built the Olin Chlorine Plant out there off route 43. After the sixth grade my parents sent me to UMS which at that time was military and all boys. Now it is neither. I boarded with a widow whose son was in the eleventh grade while I was in the seventh. He was the quarterback of the football team. We were members of the Mobile Country Club and my parents were Harlequins throwing toffee and serpentine from a float during Mardi Gras. Back then there was very little worry about crime and my older sister and I roamed in and out of the crowds. Mobile Marti Gras precedes that of New Orleans. So you Mobile people should not let the people from NOLA give you any grief. We also had a beach shack about two miles in from Ft. Morgan. It was a WW II Coast Guard observation shack with a screened in porch built around two sides where we slept in WW II surplus wooden bunk beds. As a ten-year old in 1955 I could go down to the beach and look left and right and see nary a soul. Out in McIntosh we had a spring fed swimming hole. We had to keep one kid on the shore to look out for water moccasins.
Wow, those are some seriously great memories. Cool story. As for the finances, I haven’t heard an update as of late. I will check online and see what I can find. But yes, they have certainly gone through some troubles in the past.
No no no not Pritchard or no where near 8mile also but chikasaw I'll say maybe just maybe 50/50 and Sims has grown up since it was Moe of a country style living but like I said it's growing and not stopping lol
Check out Baldwin county . Those areas around Mobile aren't that great . Think Montgomery lol . I went to University of Mobile and that area isn't that great . Check out Fairhope, Daphne , Spanish Fort . Multiple times better than Mobile area .
My girlfriend is terrified of snakes and other "creepy" critters, which is why she's hesitant to make the move to AL. Can anybody tell me how much of an issue things like that are if you're staying in a suburban area?
The biggest thing you have to worry about in the suburbs of Mobile are termites, LOL. Honestly, I've never seen a snake on my property in the last 20 years, but it does happen. Ants, a random spider, that's about it
Snakes are very very rare in the suburbs. In the early 90s they were everywhere but honestly I've seen very very few in the last 15 years. The only nuisance here is mosquitoes, but I planted some lemon grass at my mom's years ago and she hasn't been bit since.
@@michaelmcclure9350 I just looked it up, I was not sure. It’s definitely in the heart of downtown. I will definitely do more research on this. Thank you for the question.

I love how even though there really isn’t a lot good about Prichard you managed to find some positives.
Is prichard not a good place to be?
Well, it has a lot of poverty and crime, but it has some great people.
Nice vlog i lived in Mobile for three years moved back north in 1997 so much has changed .
Yes! A lot!!!
May I ask why u left is it bad
@@AllofAfrika My oldest was born in January of that year plus i was homesick it was time to come home.
I apologize sir, but Mt. Hebron is in the city of Mobile, District 1 to be exact. :) 8:34
I’ve been corrected many times, LOL. An honest mistake, but I will correct it in the future. Thank you!
Siren start blasting as soon as he starts talking about the area lol.
Yeah, I thought that was hilarious. But, I’m just keeping it real! And, to be fair, that is right next to a very busy highway.
Thanks for showing us around the towns....and pointing out the best pizza place. 😀
Yes!!! LOVE that Pizza!!!
Great video! I've only had good experiences in these towns!
Yeah, this one was a lot of fun, we did all of that over the course of 2 1/2 hours. Lots of editing, LOL
Have you done anything on Theodore and Tillman’s corner?

Yes, I get calls all the time from people wanting to live in Saraland because of the school system. It’s like the gold rush, LOL.
@@livinginmobile yes. We have a lot more students coming in and it’s insane because al the property is way on Celeste road

It's a lovely area but, are there any nice places to live on the east side of the bay?

How about a focus on healthcare in the area? I’m a new NP and looking to relocate.
That’s a great idea. Seriously, I will add that to the list.

On the list for sure. I have a few more in Mobile first before I head across the bay. But yes, on the list for sure.

I’ve lived in AL for just over 3 months now & I’ve seen two snakes 😂 I’m out in the sticks tho. Mosquitos are awful.
Geez... do one on the older neighborhoods in Mobile
In the next two weeks I’ll be doing one on the Oakleigh District, as well as Midtown. #StayTuned

Second request I’ve had for this, so it will definitely make the list. Thank you!
I live in satsuma. Don’t recommend there really isn’t anything to do here
Trinity garden is not Prichard
I’m not as familiar with the area as I should be, if I take the exit from I 65 and head towards downtown, where does Prichard begin?

Semmes is growing so much. I’m so thankful they finally have a yellow hammer coffee!
