I really appreciate this. I have a week established house cleaning business but I have a couple of clients wanting to hire me for junk removal job (before the house cleaning can be done) and I'm out of my element with that part as far as the pricing. I'm feeling it out to see if I want to take the jobs on or leave it to someone else. Thank you again for being willing to share this, even if just for an idea or something to base off of. 👍 Much success to you!!
Well I got to the job and surprisingly the tenant cleared out everything on their own! So now I just need to clean the house for the landlord. So I have a little more time to learn from your channel before the next junk removal request! 😁
I just found your RUclips channel and I want to say thank you. I do multiple labor jobs, but I’m still struggling on making money. And junk removal is the next thing that I can start doing. and your page has been number one on helping me out on how to start and understand what I need to do to be successful in this business. Thank you once again Big brother.
Im starting out with an 8x8 dump bed stakebody f350. Im gonna need some taller sides. I only have 24" sides since i normally just haul concrete debris and rocks and its easier to reach in with the skid steer. Was thinking about adding a trailer behind for the trash and keeping the flatbed for compost or scrap or concrete. We dont recycle in this town so a dedicated aluminum bin might be smart. I was also thinking of just parking my trailer in different neighborhoods and letting people just fill it with their own cans, but scared people will crap it up with trash or steal the trailer. I could probably at least 5x my payload with the right setup, but i just want to make some money to get started.
im thinking of starting a rental/junk removal service and you explained things very well and im glad you put a price sheet. This will definetly help! Thanks
Great video, thank you. First time watching your content. Very helpful. I will continue to watch your videos. This is especially helpful to me because I'm also in southern California, (just not L.A. County). Good work, from Route 66 Hauling and Junk Removal.
Hey how are you doing just checking to see how is the app going about to start my junk removal business watching your videos have really teach me a lot so how is it going
I did a video like this a little while ago but yours is much more smooth lol *taking notes*. I appreciate you sharing your pricing too. I didn't for a while only because I was still finding my sweet spot. But you're 100% right about pricing being influenced based on location, I think it's the main factor. At end of the day, we all charge for the same things, the same way, I never understood how it was so hard to find pricing either. I had to do some extensive research with reddit to find a few franchisees near me, took magnets off my truck & had 1800 GT come out to "quote my garage" and got a pic of their price card. And luckily already knew CHHJ prices. Great video overall
Damn bro, the best video i have seen so far on how to handle the prices in california. We all appreciated it, thank you!!.. Plus i love your energy!! much love bro, from your neighbor OC lol
Honestly good for you bro for charging accordingly and getting people to pay your prices but your price sheet is insane! No hate what so ever but Every step is payed even to disassembling an item - I like to take care of my clients I would feel like these kinds of duties come with the territory! I would run for the hills if I saw your price sheet 😂
They sound unenthusiastic because most of them don't know how to run a business and have no common sense. This industry is saturated with people who think they can just get a truck or truck and trailer and that's it! The contributing problem is these youtubers you excluded of course, pitch this business as "You can make a ton of money with just a truck"! Yes you can make some cash but what the RUclips junk people fail to tell these guys is you have to do it the right way to stay in business for the long haul! What's the right way, you ask? Its called market research. Get educated before you start and I guarantee you will be ahead of the curve. Its kind of sad that these RUclips junk companies give false hopes. They should stop making videos on all they money they supposedly make and make videos like yours that actually help them get educated. Ok my rant is over! Thanks for the video. Keep it up!

OK I have to admit that I do have comprehension issues so I didn't really understand. I'm just a guy with a 5x8 (4' high) trailer and a truck. Are you saying I need to find out local pricing from guys like 1-800-junk? I'm ambitious and friendly but what do I charge if I live near Spokane, Washington, as just a new guy?
yes i would still do market research to find out what people are paying for a full load. even though your trailer a bit smaller, it'll just give you an idea of what people are charging
Great video thanks! What if a customer says they have a dumpster they need loaded they just want you to empty the house into the dumpster. How to you charge for that I would say hourly right? How much each hour?
dumpster rental is a whole other market, and a lot of people add this to their junk business. also a lot of people do dumpster rentals only too. you can rent out your trailer for the day/week, and most people include in their price 1 ton included or more depending on the size! join my discord channel
Sorry I did explain good. The customer rented a dumpster and wants to hire us to load it. How do I price that one it would have to be an hourly rate? I’m in long-island NY

Love your content! Recent subscriber. I’ve been asking dump companies how much per cubic yard of debri. (To account for different trailer sizes… and I was told that’s how dump companies charge.) Is that a good way to compare prices around me and what is yours? You said $1195 for full 14’ load (I think a different video) but how many cubic feet does your truck hold? Does this make sense? Haha
My truck is 15 cubic yards technically because I only have 4 foot sides, but my truck is long, so it more furniture can fit. Dump companies usually charger per ton, not by weight. Figured out your landfill/transfer station fees so you know what to expect to pay per ton. Generally speaking my average load is 1-1.5 tons on average. Of course there are heavier jobs, where I charge heavy weight fees.

But I think what did it for me was meeting the person first so he saw how normal I was, then I explained I needed to pick and drop off everyday.
