Make that money, stump grinding, cutting trees down, hauling junk, scrapping, damn man! “Jack of haul trades “ for sure! Good job young man! Sunday is the perfect day to take off. I have to agree about the scrap yard scales on your previous video, when I bring in copper or brass I hold a few pieces in my hand and if the scale says 20 pounds I add copper till it hits 21 pounds, folks lose so much money not doing this, if the weight is 19 pound's and say 15 ounces you lost a pound, or 4 dollars think of that over the 100s of scrapyards transactions over the day, month, and over a year….love how you think outside the box on using the hammer drill to pop those noodles out, no one has done that on you tube that I’ve seen, keep hustling brother!

For plug ends, ultimately ask your yard about price differences; how much less they pay for wire with plugs would determine if your time is worth it. But most yards will pay a bit more for loads that are just clean wire, and in general the more you sort like-materials the better the payout. Some micro-scrappers will make "#plugsoup", using hot water to make it easy to pull the brass from the plug ends, but it is a lot of extra work for a bit of brass and copper. Most scrappers will just put plug ends in their shred steel loads, and most yards are fine with this, only a few would pay a price for brass plug-ends only..
I think a cost to scrap would be a good idea. You figure out how long it took you to process the scrap including going to the recycler plus fuel to get there followed by what you get out of it. This little processing session looks like it took 45 mins.
André…I commented on your last video but you got me thinking about the last maintenance you did. Maybe you didn’t put everything in the video and I could be wrong but I think you will have wheel bearing issues on the trailers. I think you wheel bearing may be to loose. The center nut you tighten by hand takes a little more than that. It’s more like you tighten until their is friction and then back off a 1/4 turn so it spins freely. I’m no expert but want to save you some $$$$. Some trailers require you to use a torque wrench and a certain amount of foot pounds of pressure and then back off a 1/4 turn or something. You have a connection with the manufacturer of the trailer I would ask them and I would also keep a infrared thermometer and measure the temps on the center of the hubs where you put the grease. One other way to see if the bearings are loose is to lift the wheels off the ground and try to move the wheel left to right and up and down….if you feel any wiggle its to loose……just trying to share my 2 cents. Also be careful with reusing the cotter pin that holds the center nut in place. Normal this should be replaced….fyi

Great tip on the cutters! I have a lot of copper to deal with currently. My wife overheard you saying discounts to customers. She said forget that. They will expect it and the cost of doing business is what it is.
Don’t strip it. It doesn’t pay enough. I scrap all the time and I don’t strip that wire. Cut the “noodles” off and keep as much copper you can. Those little loops of copper, scrappers call them noodles. Don’t strip wire unless it’s house wire or something bigger. The copper with joints in them is #2. If it’s painted or has solder on it, it’s #2 copper. If it’s clean #1. If it’s clean and shiny, it’s called bare bright, which is high dollar copper. Yeah you have the right idea, you know what to strip. I talked too quickly lol😂
I do not offer any discounts because I’m in business to make money, but my pricing is very fair and competitive so they are already getting a good deal. Whenever I have a larger load I just tell my clients a flat rate that I charge per the space it takes up in my trailer so I’m not left out empty handed. My pricing structure goes my minimum 1/4,half load 2/4, 3/4, and full load. I give my customer the price point each one is at and then I charge them by whatever the amount of space it takes up. This way I’m never going back to finish a job that I under priced and I make more money if it turns out to be multiple loads. I have additional costs for pressure treated, appliances, mattresses, paint, etc.
Dang bro, those Milwaukee tools are expensive. Why didn’t you just grab them from harbor freight tools. They got some good tools but I hear you, you want quality. Keep up the hustle!

I really like your videos. One thing id like to point out this is coming from someone that scraps every day. Romex wire is not worth stripping. Do the math if you have romex that weighs 20 pounds unstripped at $1.80 a pound that would be $36. Once you strip it down youll have maybe 10 pounds of copper if your lucky. 10 pounds at $4 a pound for number 1 copper is $40. Do the math its not worth it at all

This way I’m never going back to finish a job that I under priced and I make more money if it turns out to be multiple loads. I have additional costs for pressure treated, appliances, mattresses, paint, etc.
Well done boss! Keep hustling 💪
Dang bro, those Milwaukee tools are expensive. Why didn’t you just grab them from harbor freight tools. They got some good tools but I hear you, you want quality. Keep up the hustle!
I appreciate the support brotha! Thanks for watching 🫡
Love your videos!! Where do you dump and what’s the cost.
Thank you! I usually dump at Jackson County landfill. They charge $70 per ton prorated
I've scrapped copper #1 &2 7.45 pound
Wow that's wild. Is that in US Dollars?
Hey man can you talk about how you look for/find work/leads?
Hey boss! Check out my older videos. I talk about how I get my leads often!
Have you every thought about buying a wire stripper machine
Yessir I recently bought one!
Yeah I give recurring customers discounts as well to a certain point
If it makes sense why not!
Oh by the way Andre that was a laundry hamper not a trash can
😂😂😂😂
@@JackofHaulTrades just thought to let you know my brother from the South
If he used you before people like that treat you right and refrigerator and others stuff will do alright i did give discounts to certain people who ended up paying me more out of appreciateation so all goes around you have down time check out truck and trailer maintenance wise then clean some copper more money you need a bigger yard but you don't more stuff to hang on to we had the yard cause we had a landfill what not sold would bury have a good day and looking for your next jobs 46:03
I appreciate your feedback boss! Thanks for watching 🫡
That hitch is not worth it. I have one, and for me, it doesn't make a huge difference. I mean for the difference in price.
Hey Andre, i have you think going with a gooseneck trailer? For the tree work, I recommend.
I appreciate the feedback boss! I want a gooseneck trailer. Maybe I'll get one down the line when I get more busy with tree work!
once I get into my house my house taxes are going towards my newer Cummins 5500 I already know I work hard and I'm to smart lol to be honest
Get it boss! Keep hustling 💪
Would it be easier to get a table and a vice to help you 😊
Absolutely it would have haha
you need to separate any copper with bluing on it out of the clean... clean means nothing on it otherwise they will downgrade it. fitting and such will be considered dirty
Really? I was thinking that would be fine..
@@JackofHaulTrades nah clean it super clean...if they see even 1 or 2 pieces they will downgrade the entire can
@strykerv1620 If they try to do that with copper to me, I'll separate it in front of them 😂
I do the same thing I wait unit it’s get out of control I make about $100.00-300 for gas
Good deal!! Keep hustling my friend 💪💪
I owned a HVAC coil manufacturing company. Even at minimum wage it wasn't worth it to fully strip a scrap coil.
Wow that's interesting 🤔
weight plates, 45lb, are $1/lb, but idk about these tiny 1 piece ones lol
Haha I appreciate the feedback very much 🫡
Here in Arizona they down grade if I don't cut the end off the cords
I appreciate the feedback boss! Thanks for watching 🫡
Nas remoções separe material para poder fazer uma cobertura nesse espaço sem dinheiro, coloque uma mesa e vai facilitar muito esse trabalho
Um abraço do Brasil 🇧🇷🇧🇷
A table definitely would make it easier!
1$ a pound all day that’s on eBay prices could be more depending on the brand of weights .. York is the best
I appreciate the feedback
Who is taking down your Yard signs? Is it the County or other guys in the same business?
I believe a mix of both
@@JackofHaulTrades Sucks either way! Do they take them or just pull them out of the ground?
@johnsmith-wd5sq Yeah, usually they take them some stay up for months tho 👌
💯
Thanks for watching boss!
Do the math its not worth it at all
I appreciate your feedback big time boss! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🫡❤️
How did you get those jobs? Ads or signs?
lol you just answered the question
I don't pay for ads
How big is your trailer?
It's a 7×14×4 almost 15yards
Dont strip the wires but cut the ends off for a better price
I appreciate the feedback boss! Thanks for watching 🫡
How much do they charge for a ton where you located?
$70 per ton on trash
You should get a bmw m3 then rent on turo
Haha. Turo is not for me good idea tho 🫡
Blisters suck bro. Keep up the hard work
I appreciate the support brotha! 🫡
I filled up a 40 gallon bucket I get 455 for it for number one copper
Nice!!!! That's solid 🤝
Where do you go dump and how much do you pay per ton
I usually dump at Jackson County landfill and they charge $70 per ton prorated!
@@JackofHaulTrades do you ever dump by Gainesville
@@JackofHaulTrades have you ever dump shingles at jackson county
@joseeemtz9858 I have they are cheaper out there, but them lines are no joke 😪 Where do you dump?
@@joseeemtz9858 I have about 5 tons in one load. I rarely haul shingle tho

@blkshadow5311 Nah heck no. It has to make sense 😂
@JackofHaulTrades 🤣🤣🤣...here is a idea maybe doing a monthly or quarterly q&a live
@@blkshadow5311 I think I'll start doing that! I like the idea of that a lot!

Good day!🫡That copper #1 is close to $4 per lb here right now. Definitely worth letting all of it pile. It adds up!!✅
Good day boss! I agree every dollar counts 💪🤝
My family member is a plumber. He told me he can get 400 out of a garbage can
That's pretty solid 👌
