Is your Mower Deck Noisy? John Deere L120 Spindle Bearings - Replaced

I noticed the deck was becoming increasingly louder and louder when I engaged the blades. A couple times it sounded extra loud and I turned off the PTO and then back on. I knew it was time to change the spindle bearings.

This was a very helpful video, should save me a bunch of money! One question, is there a correct direction the bearings are put in (i.e., rubber seal up toward mower or down toward ground)?

After getting my bearings in the mail (got the same ones you did), I realized how silly my question was. I just finished a set of these on the left spindle this evening, they were very easy and I just used a socket wrench (don’t have an impact). I was nearly done and realized I forgot the jacket that goes on the rod in between the two sets of bearings, but that was an easy 5 min fix. Thanks again!
