Nice I have a JP8 and LC2i pro as well. Love the JP8 bass knob, it displays super helpful information that's nice to have displayed in view under the steering wheel area.
Question, I see you have 4 wires connected to speaker input in your LC2i pro…do I have to connect all 4 or can I just use the left side since I will be tapping to the factory sub wires?
You can use only the left side. I used both sides, so later I can add a 4 channel amp for my mids and highs. But if your only going sub then use, just the left side
Thanks for the demo instruction Brother. I’m going to do the same with my truck. I just can’t replace my HU. I noticed you didn’t adjust the accubass circuitry, did you not notice any bass roll off? I was under the impression most factory systems have that.
Well sir, you are correct about roll off. There is 2 ways to find out if factory stereo has bass roll off. For a accurate test you need a ( R.T.A ) real time analyzer.. but they are very expensive. Second method is research find blogs or forums on your vehicle. Somewhere, somebody has put a system in that car and some has already tested the stereo. Fortunately I found a forum where a guy had it tested. To get rca you need to tap in. My factory has no roll off from speaker wires behind the stereo before it reaches the factory amp. So taped the wires at the stereo instead of tapping into door speakers.
@@texasraised73 thanks for quick reply. I'll have to check forum's. My truck doesn't have a factory amp or Rockford Fosgate system so I can assume those frequencies aren't rolled off but I'll have to b look further
@@dbader24 there is 2 youtube channels I follow for years. They are super informative and teach the average installer the pro method of car audio installation. Look up Car Audio Fabrication ( CAF ) the other youtube channel is 5 Star Car Audio. Most of what I know I read in a book I bought back in 2000 it's hard to find now. It's called The Car Audio Cook Book 2nd addition.
I just saw this video and we both have the same amp i kinda need some help tuning the lc2i pro, where do u have your accubass & threshold level at boss???

Great video brother! You explained everything and for a 30 minute installation it's very well done. 💯
your fuse on the power wire should be as close to the battery as possible
Yup
You took a trip to Dallas and didn't even hit me up. Ok I see how it is. LOL
Man it's good to hear from you.
Did you tune your amp first or lc2i first? Also is that the only knob you need to tune on the lc2i?
I believe you go from the radio, lc2i, then your amp
What do you have your gains set on amp. I'm trying to figure out if gains should be down or up
When I turn my level up, the maximized light never comes on, what am I supposed to do?
Neither does mine. Never has the year I have owned it

Why do you have 2 speaker wires on each side of lc2 speaker input?
One from left input and one from the right input. That way, you're ready to add a 4 channel amp in the future.
in what volume number did you have it to deal with the frequency
My stereo volume was at 25 the max was 30.
Dude, you don't have to explain why you did a quick rig 😂 and also, use a 40hz test tone. They're free on here 😊

Should let everyone know your amp gain is at 0 / most minimal setting.
What about the gain on the amp?
It's set to just over half way
Do you use the accubass ?
