@@irj8998 brother you are going to have to play with the controls so you have it set what ever is your preference. There’s no right setting it all depends how you like it.
Holy shit! I've searched EVERYWHERE for this simple explanation. All I've found is unboxing and stupid shit. Thank you so very much for the information! Took me over a hour just to find how to and what the wide and sweep is and how to adjust it! YOU, are the real MVP my man!
Literally. The only one i had found prior to this was in some youtuber in spanish explaining it just as concise but on paper. Thanks MBE always bringing us great knowledge on the daily! 💪

This brotha is always on top of his game. I research your info and you're always on point and if you're wrong, you're real enough to say so! Right on brotha!
Best application I’ve ever had for installing one of these is in a Chevy Silverado- we did 6 Memphis mojo minis in a custom under seat box, and focal flax front and rear. We did an audiocontrol d-4.800 and a customer provided subwoofer amplifier, it was a power bass amp with a custom amp rack and some distros. The customer exclusively listened to mariachi and salsa, but he wanted bass. Epicenter was the ONLY reason his system worked at all, you can’t boost bass that isn’t there, you can only inject it.
Excellent explanation! The function and purpose of the epicenter is a bit mystical. One thing you didn't mention is that the signal coming IN to the epicenter needs to be full range or lopassed as high as possible, then use the crossover on the amp NOT the one in your head unit
The epicenter takes bass frequencies and makes them lower frequencies. A Phoenix Gold BassCube takes and increases wattage and directs it around a centered frequency and essentially boosts bass. It does add deebees.
@@JesusSoto-rs4jcI think the reason you aren't supposed to do that is because the epicenter needs to receive higher frequencies as well so that it can process the output correctly
I know... But the real question is.. Does cheaper bass restoration alternatives are shit compared to this??.. Nobody have done a proper comparative between "epicenters" :C...
Best explanation I've heard for these bass restoration units. Now I have something I can forward to people when they ask me about what these do and how to set them up. LoL. Thank you sir!!
Great video. As an example, when listening to Classic Rock Bands like Scorpions “No one like you”, the Epicenter restores the bass so it’s sounds like you are live at their concert. You hear the WHOLE song. The best earphones cannot produce what the Epicenters can.
I also see you're a man of culture. As much as I love using my epicenter the only annoying part is having to turn the knob off and on during certain play lists. You can be listening to current music and them boom earth wind and fire comes on. So you turn that knob up. The next song is a bass heavy track from 36 mafia and you gotta turn that sucka back down. Never ending cycle. I wish it had a auto sensing tech that if it detects bass signals it lowers the gain by default.
I have two Epicenters in both my cars as well, it can really make the older rock songs, even my contemporary Jazz music sound way better. I don't like the ported subs but rather a sealed sub sound which to me is a more accurate better sound quality. Occasionally I do listen to Hip-Hop/Rap with a sealed bass system "The Epicenter" can make it feel boomy or like a ported sub. This product is very useful if you listen to multiple types of music, tight or too loose bass. Nice review!
Thanks for clarifying that, I have this setting on my amp and never really knew how to set it right. My box is tuned to 31-32hz and peaks around mid 40s
If you turn your knob all the way down it will NOT make it like acapella. It will just play the songs as if the epicenter is not there, as the song was distributed.
I couldn't agree more! Thanks for the video it helped me confirm what I believed it to do. At first I almost removed it from my system because on a oscilloscope it looked like it was distorting the signal however it never flatlined or peaked it just made weird waves once I figured out that I could turn it all the way down and still get my amplifier to produce clean base at max volume I then realized on the songs that lacked bass this is where this thing shines!!
Love the knowledge shared bro, but I wish you would have spoken on swapping the chip on the inside from 30hz or whateva that high number is..... To the 15hz chip... It was a night and day difference... Keep up the good work I support you brother
