55:35 You forgot to place a Resupply Depot next to your Planetary Generator. Place the Resupply Depot to the start of the queue followed by the shipyard. This would make a good Research planet with 4 research input and all those research titles.
@@redoover It does not matter much in this late stage of this game. I am only mentioning it for future reference in your next game. On any core world you want to start your build queue with the Planetary Generator, Supply Depot, Shipyard, and Starport. You want the PG, SD, and SP in a triangle for the adjacency bonuses. That gets your planetside and shipyard building going. After that you can decide if the world will be optimized for generating manufacturing, research, credits, food, or influence.
Have you looked at the GalCiv4 Wiki? If I include a link here RUclips will delete this comment but it is easy to find. The Wiki has lots of good content explaining the game.
44:15 Their fleet of 9 ships is using 21 out of 22 logistics. You used the wormhole generator on the fleet of 14 ships using 21 out of 22 logistics. Fighters/bombers use 1 logistic, frigates use 2 logistics, and cruisers use 6 logistics.
You started this playthrough in March under v2.3 (released in Jan), just before v2.4 was released. You are playing on level Novice, were the AI is severely handicapped. On level Bright, all of the AI's algorithms are enabled; the AI is not penalized nor receives a bonus. You will need to start a new playthrough to benefit from the updates to the based game and the DLCs you purchased. As a human now with some experience, I would suggest level Genius were the AI receives a 25% bonus for your next game or Incredible if you want a challenge.
Agreed in the need to increase level. I will try to wrap this up as soon as possible. I realize by sitting down just once a week the urgency to press for a win is lacking and it really slows down the game.
1:16:00 You found the fleet of 14 ships you used the Wormhole Generator on.
Yep. I hope they are running home...😬

Thank you. I'll check on that planet first thing.

Ahh... So the that did move an entire fleet. I still wonder if there is a way to target a given fleet if two or more are "stacked"?
@@redoover I haven't played GalCiv4 but I know in GalCiv3 you can cycle through all stacked ships/fleets.
Thank you for such a great tutorial and gameplay series. I've been enjoying it a lot. Galactic Civilizations IV is a great game.
My pleasure!

@@redoover Watch how @100Stratman does his playthroughs. He plays much faster and on Godlike! You will learn a lot from his videos. Cheers.
