Rupert explores the perennial, non-dual understanding that lies at the heart of all the great religious and spiritual traditions, such as Advaita Vedanta, Kashmir Shaivism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Mystical Christianity, Sufism, Zen etc., and which is also the direct, ever-present reality of our own experience. This is a contemporary, experiential approach involving silent meditation, guided meditation and conversation, and requires no affiliation to any particular religious or spiritual tradition. All that is required is an interest in the essential nature of experience, and in the longing for love, peace and happiness around which most of our lives revolve.
Science and Nonduality is a community inspired by timeless wisdom, informed by cutting-edge science, and grounded in direct experience. We come together in an open-hearted exploration while celebrating our humanity.
I hope this is the future, and everyone will learn about non-duality, it would do the world a lot of good.
“Intellectual humanoids, mistakenly called human beings, in truth posses only 3% of awakened consciousness. If they had even just 10%, wars would be impossible on the face of the earth.” Samael Aun Woer
I’m sure he meant humans only use 3%, hopefully we can get it to that 10% but it’s looking like we may not make it this time around. 😔😔
Good thing is, humans disappear, the earth repairs itself and we come back and try again 😉😉
Rupert is great teacher. I note a wide array of various ‘like’ or ‘sort of adverse’ feedbacks. ALL comments are OK in their own perspective. It is said that the Buddha gave teaching with one voice, and all living beings will understand and get the essence according to their own level of consciousness, background, classification, intelligence, karma profile and obstruction , readiness etc.
Spira is the most brillant philosopher/practitioner of consciousness.
Great “minds” “think” alike! On Rupert’s last note, the ancient Chinese sage Lao Tze said: That which can be spoken is not The Way (ultimate reality). The which can be named is not its real or true name. What a great convergence of conclusion!
I'm not used to Spira moving around like a rock star like that
😂
Like a rock star? You mean like a Mick Jagger? That’s what you see?
@@integralsun Do I really have to explain the joke to you?
Hazzard0 LOL....I’m a little slow I guess. Normally, he’s comfortably seated next to a table with a vase of flowers. The pacing back and forth on the stage was slightly awkward for him.
Lol
Brilliant! I am inspired after listening to Rupert Spiro's interpretations and analyses with explanations from William Blake, Shakespeare and Picasso (to name a few). Many artists strive to convert their unceasing probing of how and why we co-exist as we do into living metaphors of human experience in this Universe.
I agree... God is all around us in everything. The mystery of Consciousness is only revealed when the mind ceases it's busy work in the waking hours. Dream state is a wonderful portal from which to begin exploring as is any creative pursuit, where the ego is set aside and pure thought and inspiration are allowed to come to the fore.
One of Rupert's very best. Thanks to Rupert and to Sand.
I love that You too love Poetry, Rupert. Thanks.
I am greatly grateful to have encountered this fantastic manifestation of the “Consciousness.” My deep appreciation to Rupert a bodhisattva!!
Superb! I will be rewatching this one...several times.
This was beautiful. So much truth.
Rupert speaks Psalms. Simple clear love.
Shove that trash book up your ass
@@sandpaper631 you have many love issues up yours?
Rupert is a consummate professional. His delivery is never the same... "thank god... :-) " it adapts and is adapted to the presence itself. "He" is as easily enchanted as "I". So no fukn wonder that it is as we are... and we are as it is... :-)
Thank you so much, my dear Friend!
Mind blown, amazing talk!
One of the spiritual giants of the 21 st Century
Undeniably eloquent and accurate! Extremely well conveyed 💥
Spritual awakening process is about nonduality ... it's a cosmic awakening ...
A quote from David Bohm. Sweeeeet. :)

Rupert! 🙏🏽
Your mind expands within itself.
Courage and calm this is a great moment for a great man. Or it just "is". It started as a manifesto and ended with "love"
@Rupert Spira I find some amount of shyness in referring to the original / oldest source / reference of this subject - The Upanishads.
Everything occurs in cycles. This is why proselytizing is both valuable and non valuable. It's valuable in that it provides security for an idea but inherently lacks value because the entire situation is without option.
Muzhe ye sub video Hindi language me kaha se milenge
That was bang on
Excellent teacher.😊
Where was this held anyone know,
I have listened to this three times and I still don’t understand it! alas!! All very poetic but such a convoluted ontology worries me......help!!!😉🙏
I suggest looking at Paul Hedderman for a better perspective. He puts it, that in order to understand non-duality, you have to look at it from the perspective of what you are, consciousness, rather than what you are not, matter, body, ego.
Looks like idealism for hippies to me.
@@werrkowalski2985the original hippies wanted love, not war. Whatever fronts love over war is fine by me, no matter the concept you put it in. 💫
Rupert Spira is a Gangsta!
Spiritual gangster
Hes a criminal
I'll ride with him
With in the void all things are possible.
Yes but what creates the limited reality of the mind if not reality itself?
Depends on how one defines reality. It seems clear our consciousness is not what it seems since our brains hallucinate our reality through our senses so we must agree on something to call it reality then: and I feel deep down it's about love and good intentions all around. That's the true reality I believe.
Rupert 🙏✌️
Why consciousness is limited to personal perception?
To know the personal perception. But consciousness is all there is. Beyond the personal perception is consciousness as itself.
Consciousness isn’t limited by personal perception. Things/ideas/personal perception/concepts are limited, but the knowing that knows them is not.
Non dual thug boss Rupert.

4.16 i don't understand it as a mistake. How Cosmic law can make mistakes?Unfolding of manifest Consciousness make mistakes? It is a raw ,an unripe way of functioning of human mind or brain(When it is time to be otherwise then it will be.).
But not a mistake,in my totally humble opinion of course.
He is quoting Gita as per his consciousness
This is basically Advita Vedanta
Exactly!

science never catches up to mysticism
No subject or "ism" ever catches up to life though. Never.
Feynman said that science is what we use to keep from fooling ourselves (because we are always the easiest one to fool). I say that mysticism is just a project for preventing progress.
@@patmoran5339 I'd rather say science is what we are fooling us with. Mystcism is where our human truth lies. "Science" doesn't really exist, it's the highway to hell believe me. Open your eyes and see what science has done, what it has destroyed and keeps destroying. Everything. We don't need "progress" but a reconnection to our fundamental truth.
@@selfwill I know..what I was referring to was the wordly science we see now. Which is deytroying us. But of course there is no division ultimately I agree.
Pat Moran you won’t hold that view forever :-)

Have a debate with Sam Harris!
Nikan Rst Sams not in the same league. Sorry just the truth.
He did -- or at least they had a conversation/interview that sometimes verged on debate. It's available to subscribers of his Waking Up app @ samharris.org.
Charges like Apple though
I find it hilarious how snarky & trollish it can get in the comments for videos such as this. Silly of me to expect some sort of chill contagion lol
The fruit complaining about the tree
Advaita is in itself another belief system.
Non-duality as a set of concepts is part of the dream. Rupert often says as much.
martyn spooner Non-duality as a concept or teaching is just more imagination, but the truth to which it refers is beyond all concepts or systems.
@@seeker8097 Friend I cannot say whether your statement is true or not anymore than I. can say that Jesus is the only son of God etc. What I can say though is that since social media in the Internet age there has been a rise in the number of people claiming awakening experiences and many are only too keen to monetise them. As someone who has always had an interest in spirituality I am not sure how I feel about this. There are a lot of people who understand the concept of Advaita but I wonder how many have truly experienced. Then again perhaps I am just an old sceptic. Thanks for the reply.
Advaita is just like the finger pointing at the moon, are you looking at the finger or the moon?

That can be said of every single religion, faith is needed well actually blind faith. I am simply saying that I personally do not know and not for lack of trying and I genuinely happy for people who are content regardless of their beliefs or faith.
“An illusion is something that is Real but is not what it appears to be.” That cracks right through all those attached to the viewpoint of the Absolute that nothing is real. It’s all illusion. He’s saying it’s all the imagination of loving intelligence, all-pervading consciousness at play/leela expressing Itself symbolically. The infinite Invisible is formless pure conscious awareness appearing as matter as Its loving dancing emptiness...quantum wavicle-ing. Who is the observer that sees and knows Itself? “Consciousness is a property of the human.” This that knows Itself to be and not be, both, neither is the foundation, the groundless ground. “Until scientists wake up to their true nature, materialism, which serves, will also serve to destroy that which it serves.” Wow! It’s so evident! Grateful he’s given a stage in which to present that challenge to the religion of science. May all Being awaken. May there be peace among all Being. 🙏
If we are all a dream of God, what is evil then, and is there a free will ?
I don't think it's a dream like animals dream. God/universe/consciousness is everything, without it there would be nothing, because nothing can logically come from nothing. No, free will and the self is an illusion, but evil is an idea that manifests itself in our reality and the only way we can defeat evil is with good intentions and love.
Good & evil is a duality
It may all be true only one thing: this "consciousness" is NOT an object. This seems to be the mistake these "non-dual"- teachers make. This teaching is too abstract and not very practical. Remember: there is no "consciousness" as such. Or "mind" , or "life" for that matter. I think they need a more practical approach rather than this abstract one. Imho.
Rupert is obviously not that bright.....in intellectual terms; hence, with such a dull mind why even try, I suppose
When a person is an expert on the "essence of non-duality", circular reasoning and bizarre incoherence just comes quite naturally. In a sense, though, I guess this is his calling. I cannot imagine him being able to fit in anywhere else. Some people are militantly incurious about reality. They just do not want to think about reality at all. This SAND group seems to be a home for many such people.
He's such a grifter. Also, Rupert really ought to cut back on the ketamine.
Unfortunately he is so deeply consumed by the world's collective mind and is to far gone to ever see the truth of life and is consumed with the desire to in trap as many people as possible. Sad to see

This is a cult.
How? It doesn't fit any of the purported requirements for a cult...
@@anthonyw1499 What are the requirements?
Pat Moran You're the cult expert Pat you should know
@@anthonyw1499 Well my claim that this is a cult is as follows: The first name in the organization is science. There is nothing in any of their presentations that supports science. In fact their "message" is that mysticism as the only way to determine "ultimate truth." It is the very gullible attempting to lead the even more gullible. Pessimism about human capabilities prevents any attempts to create explanations and make real progress.
Pat Moran whatever you think it is, it'll be that for you. If the only requirement is to have a follower then everything is a cult...
