Brevard,Hendersonville areas great. Asheville not so much anymore. People who have lived here for a long time will tell you this. Crime, beggars, homeless in the city limits are real. They do not have enough officers to handle the calls for service. Downtown business owners are completely frustrated. I moved there in 79 and it was beautiful. My sister still lives there and retired from the police department so I definitely know what I'm talking about.
I live just across the state line in Tennessee. My mom and a friend of hers use to go to Ashville once a year for a long weekend. They stopped doing that about 6 years ago and just go to Gatlinburg. They said it just didn't feel as safe as before.
Yea i went to asheville last weekend for a small getaway trip and the begging and homeless problem was very bad everyday people approached us for money and when we refused we were cursed out, great atmosphere tho. Definitely have to check out hendersonville
This is great idea for a series

@michaelholt8590 Very smart of them. It has definitely changed for the worse and the city has even just recently stated tourism is down.
