That slide during the verse stops/drum fills (which you mention at 1:18 in your video) is from D to E - it might even be a hammer-on - and I think he played it at 5th to 7th frets of A string. Also, I think he sustained the mid-E octave until the next note comes about (low E), rather than sliding out of the middle E.
