It’s so ridiculously large, it looks a poorly renovated shopping mall. One end might have been a Toys R Us. I’m sure glad they left the wrap around parking lot. I would NOT want to see one living species of plant within a 50’ radius of my new McMansion! All gravel or pavement really helps connect you with the natural surroundings. The view out of the master bath is very stunning, especially the dirt backyard. The interior is stunning. Must have been a truckload discount sale on black and white floor tile from Floor & Decor. And 110’ total linear feet of sectional couches really compliments the living room. Wait, is that a living room or a garage that got tiled like a bathroom. I’m confused now. Hey check out the aerial view of the standard size two car garage that got tacked on the front corner. Must be a storage shed for the glass cleaning crew. What an exquisite McMansion! Supersize me please!

    • @calvinh.8882
      @calvinh.8882 Год назад +2

@@Sammiejomitchell Exactly. So many feet from the water's edge can not be cleared or built on, and I'm thinking it's most likely from where the mowed grass line ends between the house and the lake is most likely the boundary. There are many states that have the same type of rules in place so if someone is buying "lakefront property" they should check on things like that before signing any contracts. I looked at a large piece of "lakefront property" in Arkansas once, and was ready to put a contract on it until I found out that 150ft from where the water's edge was you could not clear or build on. It pretty much is not your property you just pay taxes on it. The 150ft was so many feet of easement and the rest was where the water could possibly rise to. And with that property having over 6500 feet of "lake frontage," that is a large chunk of property that is pretty much taken off the size of your property. I believe it added up to around 23 acres of land that I really wouldn't have owned.

As a designer, there are a lot of things I'd change in terms of finishes... BUT the property is in an incredible position. There isn't anything else like it in TN. So... if you can afford 14M... maybe you can also afford another 3M to adjust finishes so it's not such a cave of hard surfaces. Views are incredible. Support facilities are amazing as well. Main house just needs tweaking to suit tastes. Probably also some development on that rear pad to create a pool deck with infinity edge that this type of property really deserves... especially without direct water access.
I have it saved on Zillow from before seeing it on YT... just need that 20M to buy, renovate and do the pool deck. LOL

You would be surprised how many extremely wealthy people live in Tennessee. We don’t have state income tax so it’s a big draw for high income individuals who don’t have to be in any specific place to “work” like people in the entertainment industry (musicians and actors), professional athletes, etc.
On top of those people, we also get a lot of “regular” people who move here from high cost of living states like California and various Northeastern states. You can buy a huge house with acreage here for the price of a two bed room condo in any major California city, New City, Boston, etc.

      WALL STREET
An old Wall Street money manager with $500 billion is moving to Nashville from Manhattan to save money
      PUBLISHED WED, MAY 2 2018
Asset manager AllianceBernstein is leaving New York for Nashville.
The 51-year-old asset manager will move its headquarters from Midtown Manhattan to the Tennessee city and relocate about 1,050 jobs beginning later this year, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday. The company had 3,446 employees worldwide, as of the end of March.
The company will invest more than $70 million in the city as part of the relocation, a release said. AllianceBernstein plans to complete its new headquarters by 2020, and finish the entire transition by 2022.
"Moving our corporate headquarters here allows us to offer advantages to our employees that we simply couldn't in the New York metro area," president and CEO Seth Bernstein, said during a press conference. He noted lower living expenses, taxes and housing costs, shorter commute times and a more modern work facility.

Location is great, but it doesn't look like there was an architect involved. For a ''Luxury'' property it's definitely lacking.

You could not give me this house much less buy it. One of the ugliest houses I have seen……..sooooo cold and impersonal, no warmth at all.

Beautiful land and views, too bad the house was inspired by an early 80's shopping mall. I've been in hospital wards that had more warmth.

Looks like a fancy nascar garage to me? Not very homy. Great location though WOW! Need several mil just to make it seem like a house and not a nascars team location.

When you look at the backside at 0:29s it looks terribly boring. This is not a landscaping for a 14 Million dollar house. The Bases of the pillars are way too big and chunky. All shiny stones and surfaces inside. Nothing warm in that house. A ginormous sofa and a tiny TV in the corner. Half of the people won't be able to see the screen and the others are too far away.
The whole house feels like a big warehouse to have furniture on display. The same style of cabinets in every room, kitchen bathrooms, closets... all the same.
The view from the main bedroom at 3:08 looks terrible. All that money for marble and stones and not a penny on landscaping. I guess it was a business location and they remodeled it for residential use.
    It's sad, because it's a great location.
    And why that voice over?

Beautiful view but over done house. Thirty thousand square feet? Three kitchens and then kitchenette? Why? Our entire family could live there and we would never find them!

WTG there Wanda, I think we get the picture; you want someone to buy that house for you, and then you're going to go out and find a couple foster kids. The dreams you dare to dream really do come true. If bluebirds can fly why oh why can't I. Somewhere over the rainbow...
