Question: Will it stream to say facebook using the internal encoder and then while viewing in Multiview on a computer also allow the computer to encode and stream to a seperate online service?
I’ve ordered the Mini Pro, but not sure if I’ve done the wrong thing? I don’t need webstream, but do need multi view and direct recording. Is it possible to retain both these features and still send the Program out (that’s being recorded to the USB), to a projector as well?
Same here - more money but worth it as I was going to get a webcaster X2 as well but that has now been discontinued - no need for it anymore as this has an internal encoder.
I had a brief look at this new hardware. i am impressed, i love the live stream and recording fuction. i am hoping it will allow me to make wedding videos a lost simpler and other events i help put on. cant wait to see one in person and find out if it will allow me to add a computer for overlaid graphics and stream while able to be shown on the large screen. exciting times
I am so excited about this new Atem, I was working on getting one of the first version but I am so glad I did not yet, the Pro is exactly what I need for my mobile production setup, which currently uses a web presenter as a two input switcher, now i can see myself taking my productions to a whole other level, can't wait to get my hands on that Atem Mini Pro...Blackmagic design has done it again !!!
Great video, Alex. I've ordered one of these and so looking forward to using it. This is the first video on the Pro that I've watched and I'm going on to the next couple I see here on your list. Stay safe!
this little thing is amazing. capture cards for streaming alone cost quite a bit and in this device you haver everything in one package with lots of functionality.
HI ALEX! I bought the atem mini pro this week and you had a doubt that maybe you already know the answer, which was, if we can stream with hyperdeck qualities. Well, we can. The internet speed will probably won't take it, even by ethernet vable, but we can. I have a high speed internet (but the fastest avaliable) and the video was 100% fluid until the hyperdeck until 20mbs. Thank you very much for your tutorials. They were very useful on my learning of mastering this switcher. This week I was just doing tests, and next week I'll start using it professionally.
Hi Alex. I am setting up a new livestream for our church using a Canon XA11 camera and ATEM mini Pro. I loved your video about macros. I have created many of them to simplify the livestream operation for future livestream volunteers. While running final livestream tests, I encountered an odd connection issue with youTube. We have a strong internet connection (18mbps upload) and both the Mini Pro and ATEM software control laptop (Macbook Air) are ethernet cable connected to the same gigabit switch. If I use the same Macbook Air to setup a "Go Live" session on RUclips, when I try to go "On Air" with the ATEM, I almost will never connect. The RUclips session just keeps churning and waiting for my end to connect. If I setup a RUclips "Go LIve" session using a separate laptop (other than the one running the ATEM control software), it will always connect and start streaming right away. I have tried this many times and the problem seems to be consistent. Are you aware of this or can think of a reason why this would happen? I was hoping that I could just use the one laptop for everthing but I may need to use multiple computers to get connected. Thnkas, Mike
In case nobody else mentioned it they did demo connecting the mini pro to a ethernet switch when they connected it to the hardware console and camera controller along with the macbook running the software control panel.
My operations are in professional Motorsport. Given that it’s shut down right now and eSports is king, I’m thinking the ATEM is a good way forward to not have a second PC doing OBS output etc. The gaming PC, or rather the simulator, and we are talking super high end pro physical devices such as pedals, steering wheels, live telemetry, timing etc is running on the highest spec PC you can get with 2080Ti GPU for full natural experience and 150-200fps. With a camera facing the driver, another on pedals, a telemetry feed, live timing and the actual real time game itself, going outbound to Twitch/YT etc, is this the right way to go, by simply dumping the OBS PC? Thanks in advance. Jon :)
Could you still use OBS to add graphics to the stream and still use the multi view or is there any other way of adding graphics to your knowledge? Great detailed video as well, so thanks for that.
Thanks Oliver - You have the option of using the ATEM Media pool for your graphics. Or just use HDMI output for Multiviewer and USB-C output to OBS for Program output. Of course that means you will need to stream using software encoder rather than the ATEM Mini Pro's internal hardware encoder
I work on the media team at my church. We are considering the atem mini pro. We have 3 screens in the sanctuary that we can go live to. Will the mini pro cause any problems with us going live to the screens? We use the EasyWorship presentation software.
Is it possible to add a USB-C to HDMI adapter and get a program output there, whilst using the HDMI out for multi view? And then stream using the ethernet? Not having multiview and program out on separate HDMIs is a problem for me still.
Thank for your excellent help and show. I am trying to connect a second camera - Nikon 3200D but the only think I see is two options on the board: camera 2 . PLAY OR SLIDE SHOW.... That means that it wants to read what is in the camera, instead of using the camera as a camera. How can I solve that? Donato
Hi Alex, so glad I found your channel. So helpful and easy to digest, even after watch 1/2 dozen back to back :) Bit late for the Q & A but am wondering if you know or have tried to run a atem mini or the atem mini pro off a portable power supply? thinking outdoor adventure livebroadcasting but being able to leverage the wonderful Multiviewer...
Welcome aboard Jakob, thank you for the lovely comments. Personally I haven't tried this, but as long as you have a powerful enough portable power supply... I see no reason why this wouldn't work. Let me see what I can find to give this a go... I really like the idea
When you showed (in a previous video) how to set up the mini to stream to RUclips, it was simply recognized as a webcam, really easy, no extra layer of encoding software. But you say that this Pro version negates the need for software encoding. But I didn’t see you use any for the mini. You can see I’m confused-sorry. Was there some kind of software encoding going on under the hood that you didn’t show? Thank you. I have the Pro on order and trying to understand what it’s giving me over the mini.
6:11 It's not about having a macbook (lol) , just get any PC/laptop that has nvidia gpu with nvenc support and that's it. No hassle, superb video stream, high quality hardware encoding.
Yeah fair play...the point I was trying to make is that unless you have a good graphics card, streaming is extremely CPU intensive, so you need to have that power :)
Since its run over HDMI and that is notoriously known for short range, do you foresee any issues using a conversion box and Cat6 cable combo and that limiting any features? Essentially, I'd look at running HDMI out of ATEM Mini Pro into a box converting to Cat 6 (giving me 300ft range) back into a box at the camera, converting back to HDMI and into the camera. Also, any issues with timecode sync when running a wireless transmitter for moving camera?
Always best to use the hardware encoder if you can as that’s what it’s build for and you’ll often get better quality as it’s not being compressed as much as the webcam input used for OBS input.
Thanks for your review. Couple of questions. - In the multiview configuration are you able remove media player and other three bottom view and keep only cam1 and cam2. Basically does the software allow to keep and hide what we want? - Does multiview support 2560 x 1080 resolution, 21:9 aspect ratio
they did indeed demo the connection of the piece to an ethernet switch. It was when the big controller desks were connected, and it all was wired via a ethernet switch. He switched from the blue cable to black cables
Would like to see a video on working with the 810 ISO using a Zoom F4 or a zoom H6 audio recorder. Using the update with Blackmagic auto frame adjustment.
How practical is the single HDMI output? What if I want to monitor the camera feeds on a small screen using the Multiview mode but I also want to send a signal to the projector on the stage (Program mode)?
Yep microphone input is a breeze on ATEM Mini. And in terms of sync, the most i've heard people say is 3 frames. For general use / talking it's unnoticeable...but if you wanted to adjust you would need to delay before bringing into ATEM Mini (Pro)
as you say I wonder if you can get some kind of edit log file out of it?. So you could replicate the edit done by the switcher live with the full res video and then do the tweaks you need to do. Would save a heap of time.. Also is there a way to sync the time code of the vision to a separate audio recorder such as the Zoom F8n or Sound Devices mix pre - It's likely that in many situations audio will be recorded separately for post production.
Yeah I would really love to see an event logger in a future software upgrade. Fingers crossed! Also re your question re separate audio, as there is no audio output on the device, I'm not sure if there would be a way to sync an external audio device with timecode. In my mind, Blackmagic are looking at this device as an All-in-one solution, so are looking for people to handle audio internally rather than use external recorders. :)
Great video there Alex! Thank you for it. I have a question: If I have to use the Atem Software to get my lower thirds in, how can I still connect a drive to do recording? The USB C port is connected to the laptop to enable the software control thus was really baffled by that. Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the nice video. I have a question. Can i live stream and be able to use 2 overlay graphics at the same time? For example, in an interview i must have my channel's logo up-left but be able to bring in a lower third any time i want. And (most important) can this be done directly in atem mini pro, without feeding to OBS or other software? ( in order to keep the highest possible encoding reliability). And, it would be nice if these two overlays could be in different video layers so i have full control of everything. Thanks in advance.
Great video, Alex thanks for sharing. How would I use something like the Rodecaster Pro with this setup? Does it have a latency setting to sync the two? Thanks!
Hi David, great question! It doesn't have a built in delay setting so you would need to delay the audio signal before it hits the ATEM Mini, or if you're taking the output to software like OBS, you can delay in that. I also have a demonstration of using the ATEM Mini with Rodecaster Pro in my previous video (ruclips.net/video/v9_c1wvU6fU/видео.html). It works great!
@@AlexPettitt thanks. That's a great video too. Very helpful. Are you Essex based? I run a production company - would be good to connect if you work on a freelance basis.
Great video, Alex! I just got mine. How do you monitor audio through headphones? I never could get my computer to recognize the ATEM Mini Pro as an audio device and therefore could not monitor audio via headphones. I just had to guess how audio sounded by watching meters...thoughts?
Alex, can you hardwire a network connection to a laptop and have the Mini Pro network connection also? I understand you can share the network if it is on WiFi, but I need to hardwire into the network from my laptop. (Mac Pro)
Great informative video.. question. does this have an auto function. For instance i do live streams playing drums but i can't manually change my cameras cause well i'm busy drumming lol.. so is there an auto transition mode? i do this on OBS and it's helpful.
Can you send the Program view to a monitor or projector? As I understand, HDMI out sends a multi view (10 panel channel view) to an external screen. But, how would you use the Mini Pro to send the final video to a projector in a live environment?
I saw headphones monitoring buttons and level on the website picture of the audio control panel, where is the audio output? It would be nice to have a monitoring output. Also, nice observation about apple vs BMD at the end. You are absolutely right, hardly anyone I know cares about apple presentations anymore.
So can you have an external monitor with the Multiview at the same time as a program output? How do you see/connect the Multiview since there is only 1 HMDI out, is it the USB-C out?
Great video! Thanks! Do you know if the special communication link between the atem mini and a pocket cinema still works if you use blackmagic HDMI/SDI converters for longer cable stretches?
Is there being update for either hardware or software to sync your delayed HDMI feed with audio going straight to ATEM Mini Pro? In other words, is it possible to delay your audio to match with HDMI video input, lip sync..?
rjk I would guess you are right, but since there’s 5Gbps speed I thought it might be possible. It sort of killed the whole recording feature when using as in webcam mode. Should be 2 USB ports ☹️.
This is a really good question! My gut feeling agrees with rjk's response but let me get clarification from Blackmagic and the come back to you guys on that one. I'd love it if it could do both :)
Alex Pettitt Same question here. In that sense just to clarify, you said at the beginning of the video that the mini pro has the same ports. The mini pro has usb c 3.1 gen 1. The mini uses 2.0. So there is a change and could be the key to support the function that we are talking about here.
Hello Alex, is it possible to take live phone calls using the Atem Mini? Sort of like a Q & A Program If so this might be an excellent time to demonstrate it, I would really like to know if this is possible with the ATEM Mini.
Hey Karl, yes it absolutely is. I will be recording a bunch of demo videos soon as my ATEM Mini Pro unit arrives today...so look out for this sort of stuff within the next week or two :)
This is a great simple switcher! Good for those people that does not have a good computer to handle 4 cameras. But I am using OBS on my daily live streams and OBS destroys this device in so many ways... because with OBS you can stream from 4k to 8k depending on your computer, use off unlimited cameras, cool visual fx and much more. And it is free!
One thing not mentioned, so probably not fixed is the PIP... I mean specifically the ability to change the size from that postage stamp size to something reasonable so that it sticks.
Just to confirm, you are able to change the size of PIP inside the software control... You just can't save that new size to the position buttons on the ATEM Mini device.
Yeah, I meant saving it when I wrote "it sticks" - this is something a lot of people were complaining about on the ATEM Mini and I hope they'd've fixed it. Basically means all gamers and a bunch of us others who wanted PIP or a bit of chroma work and an overlay onto a game stream will still have to use OBS for this.
@@TodayIMade You can create a macro to resize the PIP size & location and then just execute it as an initial setup whenever you launch the ATEM control software. That is how I preset everything.
@@michaelharris9183 that's certainly a good way to go with the current system. But I'd still prefer the makers took this pretty obvious need into account in the software.
Hi , Do you know if the audio outputs on that back will receive live feed audio mixers ( Multi channel mics with XLR inputs ) for more than two mics . Basically receiving audio from a multi split source that would only take up one of those audio inputs on the back
Yep, mixers into the ATEM Mini work fine. I currently do this with some mixers and you can see an example on this video ruclips.net/video/v9_c1wvU6fU/видео.html . One cable, L&R XLR to a stereo mini jack, straight into Mic 1 input on the device
Hi, I appreciate your review of ATEM Mini Pro. I have one question. Is it possible to record to external USB disk in a higher bitrate different from streaming bitrate? For example, can I record to USB disk in 30Mbps while I'm streaming in 9Mbps on RUclips?
유영상 This is a question I’m really trying to get the answer to and should know this week. From the menu layout I’ve seen it looks like the streaming profile is selectable... but under the recording tab there is no selection option for quality. So either it records at whatever streaming profile you select...OR and more likely, it default records at “Hyperdeck High” even though you may be streaming at “Streaming Low”. That’s what I hope anyway
Alex Pettitt I calculated the recording bitrate of ATEM Mini Pro when it records on the USB disk. In this video, It shows that about 470Gbytes left on disk when 116 hours left to record on disk1. It means ATEM Mini Pro records in about 9Mbps which is same as streaming bitrate in RUclips high quality. So I guess it records same bitrate as you select in streaming option. I hope that I’m false...
Do you know whether the USB-C output still using MJPEG codec? I compared the output of ATEM Mini USB out, side to side with the HDMI output to my Magewell USB capture card and the Mini's USB out looks very poor in terms of image quality
So if u use the usb for recording, you can still use the web cam feature via Ethernet.?, and you still can’t monitor audio with the pro.. shall we wait for Pro2..and with the time code sync what happens if the power turns off does the camera pick up the correct sync... thanks
Webcam usb c output 'Black Screen' issue. Any reason this is happening and what's the way to stop this happening without having to reboot the ATEM and computer?
What is the best camera to use with the ATEM Mini Pro? I was looking at these 4 cameras 1) Canon-EOS Rebel T7 DSLR Video Two Lens Kit with EF-S 18-55mm and EF 75-300 Lenes $449.99 2) Canon - EOS M50 Mirrorless Camera with EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM Zoom Lens Video Creator Kit - Black $549.99 3) Canon - EOS M50 Mirrorless Camera with EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM Zoom Lens - Black $499.99 4) Canon - EOS Rebel T6 DSLR Two Lens Kit with EF-S 18-55mm IS II and EF 75-300mm III lens - Black $429.99 Which one of the above camera is best? Or Can you recommend the best inexpensive camera? (in a low price range from those above ) I think I need to use at least 3 cameras for cooking; 1 for overhead, 1 of over the stove and the mean one for direct in front. Can you please give me any suggestion? This is my very first time in doing cooking video to stream and it would be a one man show. Thank you very much
Hey Alex! Thanks so much for your awesome videos. I am having trouble connecting my Atem Mini Pro to an external monitor, I cant seem to get multi-view to work and have been troubleshooting for hours. I have m/v on however there is no where that I can view anything. Any insights?
As a owner of the Mini, I’m so disappointed that they didn’t add the multi-view in the update. Give us something for making the mini a success without having it.
sean4sound As a mini owner, I too would have loved the update to unlock a Multiview for us, however I’m told they couldn’t due to an internal hardware limitation.
Where can you buy it? Not available anywhere like Amazon or B & H. Supposed to be available at the end of 2019, I waited and waited. Help me please. Where oh where?
Thanks so much for the super informative video! I’m getting excessive delay (compared to U-TAP) with atem mini pro. Someone mentioned i should match my camera output to that of Atem Mini Pro so the scalers won’t be at work & that will reduce delay. Scalers apparently help convert the resolution for atem mini, as I’m sure you know... Do you know what camera output would be ideal to avoid scalers?
Hey Bollywood Dreams, you’ll need to go into your ATEM Settings and choose what you want it’s resolution and frame rate to be. Then you can match your cameras to that. But being completely honest, I think the scalers add 1 frame of delay... so I doubt that is the issue. Could it be an issue with the HDMI output of the device you are using?
Alex Pettitt thanks for the info! The thing is, I used the same micro hdmi to hdmi cable coming out of G7 to U-TAP vs ATEM MINI PRO & the latter is significantly worse. I’m still in the process of setting up the atem to auto mode & trying a dance class like that to see what the students think.
@@AlexPettitt Hi! Thanks for your review. If I understood it right, the Atem Mini Pro includes Fairlight as audio software. Doesn't it include any delay plugin?
Hey Josvi, camera control and colour calibration via the ATEM Mini only works for Blackmagic pocket cinema cameras at this time, so that’s why you won’t see any changes on your Sony. Hope this helps :)
If you are using hdmi out for multi view , the usb for a drive record , the Ethernet to laptop or computer for switcher view ....then the only way to output another program view for say a screen or large monitor would be maybe an output off the usb drive record? Any ideas on this ?
I'm not 100% sure on this Steve, but I'd say it's highly unlikely. 1) When a drive is plugged into the USB-C, I think the ATEM Mini Pro then goes into a recording mode and is just looking for other drives to record to and not worrying about pushing out a webcam output (I might be wrong, but that how I understand it). Hopefully we'll get some clarification on that from BM soon
Alex Pettitt - thanks for the reply....this is a great little switcher but if you can only see the multi view out the same port as program ...well it makes it very problematic if you wanted to use it at an event with a screen and also live stream ...maybe there’s a simple work around I’m not thinking of ....
Do you think you could distribute to an addition monitor through the usb? I need to be able to display the feed to another room as well as live stream.
I’m going to be doing a Q&A video on the ATEM MINI PRO this week, so if you have any questions you want answered, put the below 👍
Question: Will it stream to say facebook using the internal encoder and then while viewing in Multiview on a computer also allow the computer to encode and stream to a seperate online service?
Question: Did they add an "audio delay" feature in the update for the original mini or in the pro?
Can you listen to your mix via the hdmi out? Is there a pre fade listening option?
Question: Does it accept resolutions below 720p like 420p or i?
Can you record to a Hyperdeck Studio Mini via Ethernet (and by extension, use the HDMI out on the Hyperdeck to feed a monitor)?
Such a mind blowing update from black magic. I pre-ordered an ATEM Mini Pro, that ability to Stream and Record is a killer feature.
Couldn’t agree more Gary! On device record and streaming is hugely powerful... so much packed into this tiny device
I’ve ordered the Mini Pro, but not sure if I’ve done the wrong thing?
I don’t need webstream, but do need multi view and direct recording. Is it possible to retain both these features and still send the Program out (that’s being recorded to the USB), to a projector as well?

Thanks for the detailed breakdown. This looks like a really exciting product.
I agree. An EDL would be amazing. Especially if it were usable in either Resolve or Premiere Pro.
I would have wanted a dedicated Multiview port to be able to use the HDMI out for Image Mag

Great observation with the network switch.
Thanks :) This is how Blackmagic's larger ATEM products work...so I would be very surprised if it doesn't for the ATEM Mini Pro too
good info! thanks! you should consider to upgrade your pop filter or change the position of your mic.
You did not mention much about the microphone input. Is it easy and does it since with the video output?
Yep microphone input is a breeze on ATEM Mini. And in terms of sync, the most i've heard people say is 3 frames. For general use / talking it's unnoticeable...but if you wanted to adjust you would need to delay before bringing into ATEM Mini (Pro)
what mic and stand is that. i love the pop filter. is that included?
as you say I wonder if you can get some kind of edit log file out of it?.
@@AlexPettitt i wonder if it could be picked up from one of the cams and maybe sent via tentacle sync or something like that to tge recorder?
@@AlexPettitt or maybe take a split of the hdmi and try to split out the t/c
Will will be able to use a 2015 MBP for thunderbolt to ethernet for the streaming? Or does it need to be thunderbolt 3 to ethernet?
Great video there Alex! Thank you for it. I have a question: If I have to use the Atem Software to get my lower thirds in, how can I still connect a drive to do recording? The USB C port is connected to the laptop to enable the software control thus was really baffled by that. Thanks in advance!
Best bet is to not use the USB-C for control - Do that via ethernet and then that free's up your USB-C for recording :)
Super Informative Video! Many thanks for sharing your insight! Cheers! Wes
Amazing, have the ATEM mini and 2 P4ks and pre ordered pro...thinking another P4k would be great to add in studio.
alleywayairsoft agreed, a 2 or 3 BMPCC setup with an ATEM Mini (Pro) is a great setup
HI! Thansk for the video! One question: will it be possible to stream to Facebook AND RUclips simultaneously?
Andres Rivelli yes, you should be able to stream to an external distribution service like Restream and multicast using that
@@AlexPettitt so would you need to add your own streaming preset for Restream?
(Mac Pro)
Thank you Covid-19 for cancelling my ATEM Mini order. That's the only good thing you did so far. I can't wait for Pro.
Hy Alex! Does the Atem mini pro allows connection through a router wirelessly and controlling, making changes, monitoring audio etc.?
You need to pre listen the audio via pc/notebook or macbook. There is no hardware audio output, only by software.
So can you have an external monitor with the Multiview at the same time as a program output? How do you see/connect the Multiview since there is only 1 HMDI out, is it the USB-C out?
Do you know if the multiview output will also allow you to monitor the program audio through a display?
Great video! Thanks! Do you know if the special communication link between the atem mini and a pocket cinema still works if you use blackmagic HDMI/SDI converters for longer cable stretches?
Unfortunately converting to SDI will mean you loose that bi-directional link, so you will loose tally/camera control etc
@@AlexPettitt Does the firmware 6.9.2 firmware update allow us to do this?
I love your mic setup
Pavlo Kozelo appreciate the love 🙌
great update have the item mini now love it, have a pro on order
Is there being update for either hardware or software to sync your delayed HDMI feed with audio going straight to ATEM Mini Pro? In other words, is it possible to delay your audio to match with HDMI video input, lip sync..?
Matias Jutila Not internally. Use a delay line at the switcher input or feed all your audio into your primary camera. Those are the easiest solutions.
Would the USB-C port be able to do both the Webcam and recording if using USB- C Hub ?
Also want to know this. I doubt it though, because the ATEM would be the USB master instead of the computer which would be reading the webcam.
rjk I would guess you are right, but since there’s 5Gbps speed I thought it might be possible. It sort of killed the whole recording feature when using as in webcam mode. Should be 2 USB ports ☹️.
This is a really good question! My gut feeling agrees with rjk's response but let me get clarification from Blackmagic and the come back to you guys on that one. I'd love it if it could do both :)
Alex Pettitt Thank you!
Alex Pettitt Same question here. In that sense just to clarify, you said at the beginning of the video that the mini pro has the same ports. The mini pro has usb c 3.1 gen 1. The mini uses 2.0. So there is a change and could be the key to support the function that we are talking about here.
Thanks for the detailed breakdown!
Hello Alex, is it possible to take live phone calls using the Atem Mini? Sort of like a Q & A Program
If so this might be an excellent time to demonstrate it, I would really like to know if this is possible with the ATEM Mini.
Hey Karl, yes it absolutely is. I will be recording a bunch of demo videos soon as my ATEM Mini Pro unit arrives today...so look out for this sort of stuff within the next week or two :)
Is it handy for doing multicam interviews? What about audio if you just want your audio from one cam?
FritsJan Smit you can set the audio for one cam or have the audio follow the cameras.
This is VERY handy for doing multicam interviews. And yep, you can set audio to come in from one camera and stay on that despite what angle you cut to
This is a great simple switcher!
Alex Pettitt thanks bro
Nice review. Good details. Thanks.
Appreciate the nice comment Steve 👍
This was a great video, so informative and helpful!
Thanks man 🙏 Opens up a lot of possibilities for the pod 👍
I hope that I’m false...
check page 19 from the manual
Do you know whether the USB-C output still using MJPEG codec? I compared the output of ATEM Mini USB out, side to side with the HDMI output to my Magewell USB capture card and the Mini's USB out looks very poor in terms of image quality
Koko Pratama Pudja From what I’ve seen, it’s still MJPEG only alas.
So if u use the usb for recording, you can still use the web cam feature via Ethernet.?, and you still can’t monitor audio with the pro.. shall we wait for Pro2..and with the time code sync what happens if the power turns off does the camera pick up the correct sync... thanks
Is there a on/off button on the pro? I have the web presenter and it kills me that it doesn’t
Jonathan Johnson's no on/off button... it’s a yank the power cable out jobby....yep breaks my heart every time too haha
Webcam usb c output 'Black Screen' issue. Any reason this is happening and what's the way to stop this happening without having to reboot the ATEM and computer?
Does the Atem mini also have the multiview?
Will the HDMI camera control work through a HDMI to CAT extender kit?
I have yet to test this, but Blackmagic has advised me it likely won't work
Hmm so it will only work for really small studio’s
Great video Alex thanks
What is the best camera to use with the ATEM Mini Pro?
I was looking at these 4 cameras
1) Canon-EOS Rebel T7 DSLR Video Two Lens Kit with EF-S 18-55mm and EF 75-300 Lenes $449.99
2) Canon - EOS M50 Mirrorless Camera with EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM Zoom Lens Video Creator Kit - Black $549.99
3) Canon - EOS M50 Mirrorless Camera with EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM Zoom Lens - Black $499.99
4) Canon - EOS Rebel T6 DSLR Two Lens Kit with EF-S 18-55mm IS II and EF 75-300mm III lens - Black $429.99
Which one of the above camera is best?
Or
Can you recommend the best inexpensive camera? (in a low price range from those above )
I think I need to use at least 3 cameras for cooking; 1 for overhead, 1 of over the stove and the mean one for direct in front.
This might sounds like stupid question....but do you have a monitor plugged into the HDMI OUT of the ATEM Mini?
As a owner of the Mini, I’m so disappointed that they didn’t add the multi-view in the update. Give us something for making the mini a success without having it.
sean4sound As a mini owner, I too would have loved the update to unlock a Multiview for us, however I’m told they couldn’t due to an internal hardware limitation.
Alex Pettitt just as well. Ill order one just the same. Maybe they should offer a discount to those of us who did.
sean4sound dude it’s like $300 why are you complaining
How do you think the two audio quality inputs will be if I do an output from my audio mixer (XLR -> Mini jack)?
Hey Andreas, it will be good. I currently do this with some mixers. One cable, L&R XLR to a stereo mini jack, straight into Mic 1 input on the device
@@AlexPettitt That's great! Thanks a lot Alex 😄
@@AlexPettitt Hi! Thanks for your review. If I understood it right, the Atem Mini Pro includes Fairlight as audio software. Doesn't it include any delay plugin?
very nice review and ideas, thanks a lot
Which mic/stand are you using?
Can you connect something like the Zoom F8N to this and use it as the main source of audio?
As long as you can convert the Zoom's output to mini jack I dont see why not
The original atem mini still isn't available in the UK from what I have seen.
Hi! I'm trying to color correct the image in Blackmagic Control Software but nothing happens to my sony alpha 6400... Isn't it compatible? Thank you!
Hey Josvi, camera control and colour calibration via the ATEM Mini only works for Blackmagic pocket cinema cameras at this time, so that’s why you won’t see any changes on your Sony. Hope this helps :)
Is there a Pocket Cinema control update for ATEM Television Studio HD?
Is there a way to colour correct non Blackmagic cameras?
I need to be able to display the feed to another room as well as live stream.
where can i find the separate recordings in the atem mini pro iso
