Hinge and Bracket were actually very mainstream, family orientated entertainment. I loved them as a kid, still do. Drag has been around in Europe for bloody years and years. We're so used to it, and these two 'Ladies' were considered prime time family entertainers, and performed regularly by Royal Command for the Queen at the Palladium Theatre. Very much part of the British entertainment establishment. We love them. Sadly now both passed. RIP Patrick Fyffe (Dame Hilda Bracket) and George Logan (Dr. Evadne Hinge).
Dear eclectic beard, so glad you enjoyed Hinge and Bracket, George Logan, Dr, Evadne Hinge , was my brother, and they both would have been charmed by your observations .
@@SimonandJojo I did the lilly Savage TV show with june, we were ‘Ten terrific girls’ in the first show , shared a dressing room with her, a delight xx.
Lovely to hear from you Jennifer, we miss June very much, for 37 years we were best friends, until she passed in 2022, never a cross word, that is true friendship isn't it, she was beautiful inwardly as well as outwardly, So many happy memories of your brother, he once joked that i (Jojo) often knew more about Dr.Evadne, than he did as i use to notice the slightest, smallest changes made to Dr.Evadne, including small details like a new glasses chain! Many happy memories, loved their performance for it's authenticity and played with truth. We were very pleased, more than pleased to hear from you Jennifer.
I worked as assistant Stage Manager at a theatre that they performed at. This couple were an absolute delight to work with. Witty & professional, with great warmth.
I read that they were never. recognised when in ordinary clothes dressed as men, even where they lived that's the way they wanted it keep the mystery going
@@laurielovett8849 That is quite correct. Patrick Fyffe (Dame Hilda) dressed & walked a little camp, but other than that, you would be very unlikely to associate either of them with their stage personas. As I said above, very warm & likeable folks.
They were a true class act, based on wit and real talent, to be enjoyed by all ages. We could do with more of this today 🎉
Glorious duo - so sharp and witty and Dame Hilda's ability to ad lib was fantastic while the Doctor is still alive and playing
sadly Dr Evadne has just passed away aged 78; 21 May '23.
Awww this brought back fond memories of the BBC Dear Ladies series on tv. The whole family loved them. I saw them live at the Lyric Theatre in London with the family and their own hilarious version of "The Importance Of Being Ernest" got a rousing standing ovation at the end. Drag in the 60's and 70's was really popular not only on the gay scene, but straight working class pubs, and with families, particularly in the East End London Pubs. I fondly remember, me and my mum & dad, grandparents & cousins going to see drag shows in the pubs, and they were packed to capacity. Thanks for reacting to H&B. :)
I loved Dear Ladies & adored H&B,. they're like your favourite mad aunts! I'm sure it was a weeknight on BBC2, in the 8.30 slot. They were massively famous for many years, but a lot of it is very subtle or for those in the know. My favourite thing is when Dame Hilda walks into a room, but you only hear the end of her conversation, so you might hear "Well that's right dear, he couldn't get it out, yes, I told him it was too big to put it in there, but he did insist, butter it next time, yes!" Happy memories xx.
They were a brilliant duo their series Dear Ladies was brilliant so funny the one playing the piano passed just recently RIP to both of them
These 2 were hugely popular on TV & radio as well as live performances. Very talented performers unlike many of the "one trick ponies" around today.
My God I forgot about these two. 😂😂😂 These bring back so many memories
as you said who cares about the cross dressing, they're damn good entertainers. Okay they're two guys playing women but that's just the hook, what they are is brilliant musical performers.
You'll have to watch Kenny Everett and Billy Connolly, doing an impersonation of things and bracket
Hinge even
That sketch is one of my favourites! Elsie and Gladys "ohhh, is it my unfortunate little noises, I can't help it, they just seem to slip out." "No, it's not your dentures, dear." 😂
They were the best female impersonators ever. Ran during the seventies and were hugely popular. Sometimes a little naughty but never foul.
Oh I used to love Hinge and Bracket as a kid. I remember sitting as a family watching them on TV and all of us roaring with laughter.
We have such a long tradition of drag in the UK it goes back centuries. That's why we're not phased by the whole resurgence of Drag Queens like people in the USA seem to be, it never went out of fashion over here.
Due to the fact that women weren't allowed to take to the stage as far back as Tudor times. Men played the women's roles, too. See _Shakespeare In Love._
It's why some actresses insist on being called actors. Note Gwyneth Paltrow said she wanted to be an actor (not an actress) in _Shakespeare In Love._
When women eventually entered the acting world, they were considered women of ill repute. Acting wasn't considered a respectable profession, especially for women.
The tradition continues with pantomime dames (female roles played by men), but they are not the same as drag artists as their performances are highly sexualised and performed in adult nightclubs.
hinge and bracket are not drags. its not a drag act. George Logan (Evadne Hinge) even recently spoke out against it very strongly. Drag acts is just a different genre, drag acts are about exaggerating, being outlandish and over the top. Evadne Hinge has clearly sayd that they were female impoersonators. which is totally different from a drag act.
No, Americans are not adverse to drag the dress’s. We are adverse to smut and gross bodies, and twerking. Drag has been vandalized by the grotesque. If Hinge & Bracket saw what was going today, they’d be horrified. Hinge & Bracket were living a true Love Letter to old England and mourning a time when the final embers of Empire were going out. This was all happening during the Edwardian and Georgian Reigns bit by bit, and WWI was the real nail in the coffin of time that would be memorialized well into the later 20th Century. The Reviews at Good Old Days were all centered on a time period from 1880 to 1912. Yup, 1912. The Queens Guard actors dancing with ladies, and just stage marching to set the scene as a lovely day in a Park in London was all the rage and attraction to keep this Glorious Time alive. Going into those small jewel box theatre’s was like going back in time and just having a good time. The happy music, the audience participation, the formally dressed Master of Ceremonies and his penitent for Victorian English wordings, a LIVE Orchestra, was all a labor of love. They were payed, but they weren’t Union jobs. This was all hand made entertainment…….like I said, a Love Letter to Britannia and Her People.
So you’re very much mistaken to associate the two worlds. I’m gy, and I want no part of the so-called woke crap, nor would I condone any niece and nephew to be allowed to see such utter smut as is the their only talent today. Do your research before you say something so contemptible.
Alan....bless you, mate. Years ago, H&B brought their show to where I live and most of the audience was gay. But it had nothing to do with them being in drag - that was just their pitch - but that they were just so sharp, so acerbic, so witty, so belly-laugh funny. George Logan, aka Dame Evadne Hinge, is still about at 78. Thank you, Robert, UK.
@@Herr_Flick_of_ze_Gestapo ...Yeah, I regret saying that. Thank you for correcting me. Robert, UK.
Its true some people refused to believe they were actually men. They never appeared on TV as them selves only as H&B. I loved them even growing up. You had it spot on that there type of humour you could sit either a kid or your granny in front of and enjoy it. They could be cheeeky and Dame Hilda was always taking the micky out of poor Evadne. So glad you did this as I had really forgotten how good they were. dame Hilda's voice was amazing for a woman let alone a man. Patrick Fyffe (Bracket) passed away aged only 60 from cancer but i believe George Logan is still with us.
I can't believe you reacted to this! Glad you did though
The tv show when Dame Hilda has been at the Sherry is so funny
These 2 came up with a very clever idea and polished it to perfection. So much so that my late Grandfather swore he remembered them as 'gals'?
These 2 guys had their own TV and Radio shows here in the UK. I think a lot of people didn't realise they were 2 men. They both had classical training and Hilda trained in opera.
They Use To Do The BBC Good Old Day's, In The Very Early 1970' To The 1980' At The Variety Hall IN Leeds,!!!! ,.
Didn’t realise they were men😮

Hello Mr Hughes From Another,!! How Are You,?? Well I Hope,??? Only One Of Hinge And Bracket Is A Female Impersonator Dr Evadne Hinge Dame Hilda Bracket Is The Impersonator, !!!! Just In Case You Weren't Sure, ????????🤔🤔🤔, Okie Dokie, ☺️👌💪🏴🏴🏴🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🏴🇬🇧🏴🏴,
I had Great Aunts who looked like them! We would always say we’re off to see Hinge and Bracket
The random jottings of Hinge and Bracket. radio shows. with Daphne hear playing Maud their hilarious accident prone housekeeper
Edward Heath: UK Prime Minister 1970 - 1974. Here they are on stage entertaining but in their sitcom "Dear Ladies", the acidity of their dialogue was superb.
They did really good simple and silly stuff like no one else seemed able to. I was surprised to see a reaction because it's been terribly forgotten in today's modern rush. They had a series I think called Dear Ladies, but don't quote me on that name. They were really good then and really not bad to see again. Thanks for the memories. Be well.
Definitely the series was Dear Ladies - I was gobsmacked to find it on DVD in a second-hand media shop and I had to buy it! These were Halcyon Days!
You might enjoy some early Lily Savage stuff. Hilarious act.
Eb Thank you for finding this and reminding us older ones that we actually enjoyed this entertainment the first time round and still do!. Your closing remarks were spot on. Thank You
your face and almost silence said it all! they were fabulous .. good old fashioned tv...
They did a week at a theatre I managed in the late 70's early 80's. They were immensely popular. The theatre held just over 1500 people per show and they filled it repeatedly during that week.
I haven't seen Hinge and Bracket since I was a child, oh so many years ago. I remember watching them on the Good Old Days, with my Grandmother and Mum. Thanks so much for this - it has brought back some very happy, long lost memories of those years!
This was a stroke of genius they moved drag away from smut or worse and made it funny rather than sexual. Good choice.
Well done on your 100K - Your Silver RUclips plaque will be up on your wall soon. Well deserved...
Thank you
Remember watching these guys when I was a kid, always made me laugh.😂😂👌
That's what proper theatre looks like.❤
George Logan...Dr Hinge, and Patrick Fyfe...Dame Hilda were old friends who formed their act as a joke initially. George was straight, but Patrick was gay. Kenny Everett and Billy Connolly parodied them,,,which was hilarious because Billy and Ev were both bearded. 😂😂😂 If you want to see really good drag check out Danny La Rue. Just about the best in the business...and Lily Savage, another drag character played by Paul O'Grady. Hilarious as a cheap Scouse tart, lol!
(From George Logan, aka Dr Evadne Hinge) Oh dear... A bit of misinformation there, I'm afraid. Far from being 'old friends', we only met a couple of years before we formed the act. It was never intended as a joke, we were happy to be making some money! And lastly, I have never in my life so far been accused of being straight, and am most offended! (Not really!)
This is from a tv series recreating the Victorian music hall called 'The good old days' The audience participated by dressing up in period clothing
My godmother was taken aback when my mum and me told her the truth. George Logan played Dr Evadne Hinge and Patrick Fyffe played Dame Hilda Bracket. When Patrick passed away in 2002, George didn't feel he could carry on with performing the role and, although he appeared in pantomime for a time, retired from the stage in 2004.
Not quite sure if I can still do my impersonation of Hilda. I inherited my father's vocal range and when he was in a choir the director placed him near the women in order to achieve a balance. So, yes, a dude can get up into that range. An aging voice can't quite get it as used to was. I think I can hit a note - but not quite continue it into a tune!
When you've a chance, maybe find and watch the countertenor Mark Chambers and his rendition of Vale Decem - from the soundtrack of Doctor Who - with the BBC Orchestra of Wales. He has an incredible stratospheric voice.
They were so funny, loved them as a child.
This is an ancient video. It must be from the late 1970's/early 1980s!!! The problem is that it is packed with British cultural references that you just won't understand. They were brilliant at what they did and were loved by intelligent British people!!!
This is the first video of yours I have watched but I shall be following from now on, my friend!!
1982 or thereabouts
I used to love their 30 min sit com show. With their housekeeper. Funny situations...... and misunderstandings. Always made me laugh.
In the UK are used to be a show that was based on the Old Time music halls (I think it was called the good old days) there was so much audience participation that they used to arrive in Victorian Style Dress. The show became so successful that it went on tour throughout the country. it wasn't just about Hinge and Bracket, it was about people who could sing dance and and present comedy from that time period.
I am from a large family and can remember all of us sitting round watching this on the TV and thinking 'what a load of nonsense this is' then five minutes later being in stitches from laughing so much. Like you said' good innocent fun and that's just what it was.
My mother went to see them in concert and after the show in the bar was talking to this man, totally unaware that he was 'Hilda Bracket" until much later when it was pointed out to her...
George Logan (Dr Evadne Higne) is still alive and well (after some serious health problems the last few years) and now enjoying a retirement in France.
We lost Patrick (Hilda Bracket) several years ago, but there is a fan group for the duo which is growing strong.
You should check out Hinge and Bracket being interviewed and performing with Michael Barrymore. It's brilliant.
Sadly George died early may 2023
Drag has always been popular in the UK.
I have a friend who is a Drag queen called Cheri Treiffell he's from Liverpool but lives and works in Glasgow, Scotland. He's hilarious, he has some videos on RUclips. The wedding ones are best. "It should have been me" 🤣🤣
I have seen him. I stumbled across a video where he came up the aisle screaming it should have been me. I was wetting myself. The guests were stunned.
@@mervinmannas7671 He's called Mark. A great guy. Him and his partner are lovely people. He has a RUclips channel: Cheri Treiffel. The videos are all on there 🤣🤣
Hinge and bracket were NOT a drag act. they were female impersonators. two different genres.
I recall the Two Ronnies doing a musical number back in the '70s, parodying this pair, calling themselves Ball and Socket. I just tried to find the video on you tube, but struggled to find it. Maybe somebody could find the link for you? Also, as some of your other viewers have suggested, Fascinating Aida are definitely worth a reaction.
Great video 👍 Bloody hell I haven't seen these guy's yes guy's in a long time, sure all republican voter's will love it too 🤣
Read that both lived with their families outside of London and no one realized who they were.that's the way they wanted it
@@laurielovett8849 Sad to hear about George's recent demise. Interestingly he made a comment on You Tube himself to say that they regretted not taking a leaf out of Paul O'Grady's book and appearing as themselves so that they could have had more diverse careers. Still, Hinge and Bracket have stood the test of time and are still as good today as they were in their heyday.
Great stuff. They did a sitcom called dear ladies
I love you for loving H&B, they were just like you're favourite mad old Aunts, but with some serious music talent to boot. The height of their fame, arguably, came in the 1980's with 'Dear Ladies', prime time for the UK at 8.30ish on BBC2. It had a decent run of 3 series, and is the gentlest of gentle comedies, there is almost no story, but you're just happy to be a long for the ride. It's very, Very British (tricky jokes to get) and also it is of it's time & out of time, as it was like something from days gone by, so many will find it slow now. But, if you've a relaxing, rainy Sunday afternoon, pop open the sherry, Emva Cream of course (they advertised it) and while away a few hours with two of the dearest ladies from Stackton Tressle.
I grew up in the 70s and early 80s with Hinge and Bracket on the tv every week. They were really mainstream national entertainment.
We used to have loads of drag acts, and sitcoms and game shows featured overtly gay and camp characters, all of whom were very popular - John Inman in 'Are you being served?' and Larry Grayson presenting 'The Generation Game' were two notable examples. And, of course, it was the Brits who really took Barry Humphries to heart as Dame Edna Everage
Oh, and let's not forget Frankie Howerd!!
Great British music hall, stan laurel started in his father's music hall theatre, in Glasgow before going to the states and meeting Oliver hardy, happy healthy peace
At the beginning she sings 'Grandma can dance it pissed' later this becomes 'best'. She was being mischievous in a hilariously quaint way.
drag acts have always been popular in the UK, from pantomime dames such as Les Dawson and Christopher Biggins to characters such as Hinge and Bracket, Danny La Rue and Lily Savage. all very different and all loved by UK audiences
@xtheeclecticbeard will do 😀
That was a troll account
@@TheEclecticBeard I worked that out after it disappeared lol
I'm glad I never followed any links :D
@@Herr_Flick_of_ze_Gestapo fair point, well made
Alan you look absolutely captivated.I agree, gentler fun
I am watching your reaction for the second time as I just loved these two and I just heard that Dr hinge (George logan) died yesterday aged 78 r.i.p. George logan
In Britain the dame is part of life, this is why when Queen dressed as women for a music video we thought nothing about it. Unfortunately it caused huge problems in America.
The radio shows (there are a few on RUclips) we’re more biting and sarcastic. They always played it straight (pardon the expression), the Dame and the doctor were super professional, and brilliant. I have the full radio shows on my iPod and play them often. Oh and the fun isn’t as “clean” as you think.
I adore hinge and bracket, ive got all their LP recordings. I love their BBC tv series Dear Ladies, you should check that out, but what i also adored was watching this with YOU! Hearing your appreciation of something so British and quite camp was WONDERFUL. Im so glad you enjoyed their performance. These two guys were SO talented. Sadly, no longer with us ❤
Love watching these two .
Another drag act to keep an eye out for is Dame Edna Everage. Very popular in the eighties with quite a few tv shows under his belt. Including a chat show which was hilarious.
Another drag act is Danny La Rue who appeared on Mr Bean. Bean around during the 1950 to the 1990s.
Its NOT a drag act! Evadne Hinge even spoke out against being called that quite strongly. They were female impersonators. Drag act is about being outlandish, over the top, provocative, centered around sex and intended for night clubs. Thats a completely different genre from female impersonators.
'The Good Old Days' tv show often had Hinge & Bracket performing. Another very famous female impersonator of the time & also a regular on that show was Danny La Rue. Filmed for tv, old style music hall performances often with some audience participation. I remember as a child allowed to stay up late on New Years Eve & watch The Good Old Days. It was filmed from the City Varieties Music Hall Leeds (opened 1865) & became very famous nationally. 👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
They perfected the art of expressing saucy innuendo …. Two genteel “old dearies” having an innocent conversation over a cup of Earl Grey… and nearly every topic discussed in their comely lounge could be taken two ways…. If you had a “dirty mind” as they would have said 😲😂😂
Congrats on reaching 100k 🙌💯
Bloody nora, i'd all but forgotten about Hinge and Bracket...(showing my age here) Bizarrely innocent...But then again that's been the case for musical hall for centuries. (well, at least two)
I believe Bloody Nora lived next door to H& B
you should hear their random jottings radio shows. could get a bit racey at times lol very funny
Never expected anyone from the UK to react to these ladies, never mind yourself.
Isolation Creations are worth a look too....naughty but nice....E...
The bloke on the piano is 78 and I believe is still with us and did a show on stage of hinge and bracket in 2016.
Grew up listening to these pair, Round the Horn etc on R4. Isolated Farm in Wales no TV, as an immigrant in the 70's (Burn out the Sais time in Wales then) They were insipired by Music Hall, developing the style of a programme of audio light sections as a sort of back ground blurb, the comedy can be very Sharp and is of its time of course
Oh and EB, if you can find one of Joyce Grenfels Monologues, they are absolute classics
Random jottings of hinge and bracket. with accident prone Maud :D
Or round the horne Julian and sandy. very funny
Hinge and Bracket's Cat Sonata ( I think that's the title.) was hilarious. I first saw it and was falling about the living room in tears of laughter and I was around seven years old at the time. This was a true top notch drag act, unlike the inane and vile freak shows we have today. And going back to the Cat Sonata, they were basically meowing back and forth in varying degrees of meowing, with music accompaniment, very clever and funny. And I never knew they were a pair of Fellas at the time, Dame Edna even blew me away when I learnt it was a Fella! Great stuff and good fun.
Cat Duet, I think ... "Duetto Buffo di due Gatti" by Rossini ...'In which Dame Evadne 'takes on the role of a ginger Thomas' ruclips.net/video/l9Qd8AzjrPg/видео.html
@@antiqueinsider. The Cats Duet is what's known as a musical conundrum. It is normally assumed that it was composed by Rossini, in most cases. In fact, it was composed by the English composer, Robert Lucas Pearsall, in the style of Rossini, as a tribute to Rossini. What's even better it was composed in Rossini's lifetime. It's a great fun piece. The Hinge and Bracket version is hilarious. You should check out the last night of the proms in 1996, where two ladies have the catfight over a damehood and flowers. It well the viewing.
The were on a show called The Good Old Days, had their own radio show & were amazing at singing Gilbert and Sullivan. As well as Ivor
Novello. I was nearly 25 before I realised they were men.
Hinge and bracket made their own series called dear ladies check it out. Absolutely brilliant.
and radio shows called The random jottings of hinge and bracket.
I remember watching them as a kid and I had NO CLUE that they were men.Stuff like that wasn't on kids radar in the 70s xx
Lily Savage was another brilliant drag act to watch.
the outtakes when Lily goes off script are hilarious
hinge and bracket were never a drag act. they were female impersonators. two different genres.
The 'first footing' thing is true but not a widely practiced tradition now. When I lived up north I did it a few times for an elderly neighbour who still wanted it done. If I remember it correctly the tray to offer to the lady of the house had a glass of water, a piece of bread, a piece of coal and a coin. The first footer then knocks on the door amd when it is opened he was to say 'may you never be hungry, may you never be thirsty, may you never be cold, may you never be without money. Then hand the tray to the lady of the house and be invited in.
Wow a seriously deep comedy pick here. Might I suggest Flanders and Swann if you want another deep cut. Their songs were even performed by The Muppets!
I just Sent one of the radio episodes via your Instagram With A history with it as well
You really need to look at fascinating ai Aida, in particular their song about dogging, you will piss yourself laughing
Danny la Rue was another very glamorous drag act.
hinge and bracket were never a drag act. they were female impersonators. two different genres.
As I was born in the early 1950s - I knew women like this - one of them being my paternal grandmother born in 1889. The charcter observation of H & B is superb and the character's back-stories are carefully thought through. What works is that the charcters are delineated with respectful and actually quite tender humour - we are invited into the joke.
Dame Hilda was very like my Aunt Peggy. My mother and I loved them and were lucky enough to see them live on three occasions. They were wonderful.
check out the tv show "the good old days " based on the music halls with the amazing lenard sachs hosting , who's introduction of the acts was not only legendary but unrivaled
well and truely missed. used to be on the good olde days back in the 70,s
Absolutely brilliant and so funny but two nice guys I had the chance to meet them after one of their shows I have never laughed so much except at ken dodd
this was just a short performance
they had a sitcom and lived together is a small village
the two different personalities you can see cause all the problems
dear ladies was the radio / tv program i think
They had a sit com in the eighties called dear ladies. Worth a look.
they also had a radio show called The random jottings of hinge and bracket. even funnier than dear ladies.
Love this! Thank you for your video. :)
If you want to see more of Hinge and Bracket here on You Tube look up 'Hinge and Bracket live at the Palladium', they sing the most beautiful song ever, 'Love will find a way' from 'Maid of the Mountains'.
Their stage show was somewhat bluer. They had a TV series in the 80's based on them living in Stackton Tressell
and a radio show called The random jottings of hinge and bracket.
You should check out an old BBC show called the good old days it was a 70s show with a music hall theme (like this, not sure if this was a part of that show actually)
RIP George Logan (Evadne) who's death was announced a couple of days ago. Aged 78.
If Hilda hadn't passed at a relatively young age they would have no doubt continued rising in popularity and awareness. They were already on the rise at the time and everyone loved them, and this is in a time when the UK was politically homophobic and it gay venues were being burnt down or bombed far too frequently, to be loved by such huge audiences was so great.
see if you can find the Kenny Everett and Billy Connoly skits of Hinge and Brackett
Gentler days, nice for Sunday evening TV dinners.
Alan if you would like more stuff like this try watching a old TV programme from the 70's call "The Good Old Days".
And that Gentlemen is why i got into punk back in the 70's...🙂🙃🙂
I have the box set of their TV series.
They were very good.
You should read about Frederick Park and Ernest Boulton. Two men who used to dress in drag and called themselves Fanny and Stella in the 19th century.
Is that a new way to prevent issues or does the singing go right speaker anyway
I was lucky enough to see Patrick Fyffe and George Logan perform as Hinge and Bracket live many times in the 1970s and 80s. They had come to prominence by playing gay venues in a time when male homosexuality had recently been legalised and much gay culture was still underground. Their act consisted of many double entendres and references to their characters' professional and personal lives together.
Indeed, their act was necessarily considerably cleaned up in order that they could appear on TV. I believe that the clip shown here was from of their TV appearance, the cast appearing here would have been too large for a theatre tour. Most theatrical appearances consist of a more intimate style, just the audience and the two ‘ladies’ spending a quiet evening together. I don’t recall them ever breaking character and being interviewed as themselves, only their alter egos.
They are much missed, and it is sad that so few of their performances appear to be available now.
Dude, you need to check out Fascinating Aida, Brilliant
The two ronnies parodied them in one of their music skits.
Oh thanks for this i loved them ..they had a hilarious comedy tv series Dear Ladies....the 2 sharing a house in a tyoical English village...and were very politically incorrect at times...Genius... i loved them....Dear Ladies was utterly wonderful.....very funny.....thanks 🤣🤣
their radio show The ramdom jottings with hinge and bracket was even more funnier
random*
Good old British comedy 🤣
Everybody else calls it the Hand Jive :)
One appeared in the steptoe and son movie as a drag act (female impersonator if you don't mind)
patrick fyffe appeared on an episode of Grace and Favour (spin off of are you being served) in the episode about the cat mummy. he played the museums curator.
Delighted to see this! If you like this sort of entertainment, can I recommend Fascinating Aida? Make sure you pick their contribution carefully!
RIP George Logan (Dr Evadne Hinge)
