How sweet you are, thank you for this. I’m not a fan of The Row, its style is too edgy for me, too oversized and the color palette is too dark for my preferences. I love its emphasis on top quality, though. It’s just as well that this brand isn’t my favorite, I shop at the Premium High Street level and rarely buy designer items. To pay designer prices, it would only be to buy things that I will love wearing for my lifetime. That’s my shopping guideline, so the items I choose have to be timeless, not trendy.❤
The Row items you show here are timeless, maybe I’ve only seen their edgier, more extreme designs before. These mostly look great to me, if I ignore all the black ones, that hue looks awful on me. If for no other reason, I’ll revisit this brand for possible inspo.
buying fast fashion is antithetical to the ethos of the row... yes buy something if it's a similar look IF you'll wear it for a lifetime.. otherwise you defeat the row's purpose of top-tier quality in more understated silhouettes. you cannot dupe the quality of their materials, their proportion, attention to detail etc.
i have so much from them its just nothing fits me like their clothes. once i know what works for me i never look anywhere else. as a fashion designer i can really tell when they put in alot of time and effort into designing and fitting and re fitting garments. and whatever fit models theyre using, theyre similar to my body.
Not true at all. I've had sweaters from target and H&M that I've worn for near 10 years. But I try to treat my clothes with care and not as disposable. Also I try not to buy "trendy" pieces but stick to classics. I think, whether it's "fast fashion" or luxury brands, it's the buying of trendy pieces that people won't want to wear after a few seasons, that is the problem.
Anyone in the fashion business knows that price is no reflection of qulaitt when proces are high. There currently is a designeer handbag site on YT the woman has been popular for a decade or more. She is British and her husband is a fine car puveyor....Maseratis, Bentleys etc She has a recent video documenting the low cost materials and prcesses in some highly colletible handbags...price and quality in fashion sadly is NOT correlated....much is mere hype.
The Row is K Mart aesthetic with Hermes prices for rich people with no personalities. I hate Hermes and Chanel for being boring but along came The Row. The Row reminds of Bettina from Absolutely Fabulous, pretentious fart.
Uniqlo cashmere is amazing! I’ve had the same sweaters for at least 10 years
Wow! That is awesome! I should try one of their cashmere pieces. Thanks for sharing!
Love the Row

The fact that Paltow wears their stuff is an automatic NO for me.
I’m honestly tired of hearing about “dupes”. Fast fashion needs to go out of business forever. All the dupes from last year are in the landfill

Massimo dutti or COS are affordable alternatives
Thanks for sharing! I'll be sure to check them out!
