Listen, sometimes a Person needs a Hobby, wich he can spend time with it, without the familiy, just to have time for himself. I totally understand, if a person have a "selfish" hobby. Well, yeah, Matt haves his Guns and other smaller Vehicles and now other Cars.
At the end, i think its a good decision, in the video, as he got Nightmare, and as Mere saw it, you could feel and see that she was deeply inside really not happy and very dissapointed. In this situation, i would also have given this hobby up. Like Matt did. Not only because Mere was upset because of it, but mainly because the reasons he mentioned.
Waht are possible hobbies to do with the family? Well... traveling, canoeing, bow shooting, laser tech, billiard, RC Cars/planes/ships/helicopters... Whatever.. There are alot of stuff.

Actually HumVee is a colloquial term that even AM General uses, meaning that a HumVee and a HMMWV are the same vehicle but with two equally accurate names. You saying that he meant HMMWV is kind of like you saying “it’s a horse” and me saying “no it’s not. Oh, you mean Equus ferus caballus.”. Basically, pointless and unhelpful.

TTrain Why? Matt doesn't have enough hours in the day to do it all. And Mere is almost always in the background at the Bunker or learning how the machines run, going on courses ect. Plus she's very smart. I think she does a huge amount behind the scenes. I' wouldn't be surprised in the least if she was basically running the Bunker.
@TTrain if Mer wasnt there he would be taking care of 3 kids and working at the clinic all the time.. how would he make content then? You truly are special if you believe for one instance Mer isnt a huge part of it all. Plus i really hope Matt sees you trying to discredit his beloved especially considering he is constantly acknowledging her for all the support she brings.
@TTrain This sounds a little bit sexist to me but whatever. She's incredibly smart person and I think she does most of the things in Bunker, just remember that we don't see Matt's entire day, only little snippets spread throughout his day. Nobody's day consists of 10 minutes but whole 24 hours and we don't really know what happens in Matt's and his family's life between these clips. She's certainly doing many things, learning stuff about machines they have and surely takes part in brainstorms in Bunker. I think that these comments are belittling her hard work and what an amazing person she is. Just remember that Matt wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Mere and she wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Matt.

Mere is the radial engine that makes it all go round friend. Heck even if you don't think so remember, she has 4 (sorry Matt includes you) kids to wrangle everyday on top of everything else she is doing.

You absolutely did the right thing. When you are not sharing your hobbies with the ones you love and cherish the most, it's really not as much fun. Because you are wishing they were right there with you when you are experiencing the whole thing. They'll enjoy your hobbies just as much as you are. Especially racing. Racing is a family thing.. BTW, you guys are so adorable. I really enjoy watching you guys.
To hang the ultra-4 panels, hang the side panels vertically on the left and right then the back plate on the bottom between the side panels and the two front plates above that.

Instead of hanging the sword on a wall perhaps you can make a tripod/stand for it... Kind of like a guitar stand. Or have Mere design you a desk/table you can have placed in the middle with a layer of glass over it. Oh and for the "Nightmare" mounting... Try imagining you are looking at it from top down... Take the side panels and fold them towards center. And hood / rear panel same thing, Fold towards center... Should help the look.
Yeah the easiest way to imagine it is like you smashed the car flat with all the sides pushed out from the bottom.
I don't see why he doesn't arrange the panels to look like his eagle and shield...

@@techtutorials1202 have demolitia on the front than have "trucks, firearms, and chicken coops" on the back. Either kind of diagonal like a comic strip or vertical, and on each section it would say what that section is and have a design of that thing. On the truck section have it be a picture of the raptor and humvee (maby nightmere). On the firearms have the "Saw" (from the THICC shirt) and the "Glock" (from the BUTTER FACE shirt). On the chicken coops section have the "White Chicken" in front of a small portion of the chicken coop. That would be an EPIC shirt.

One thing that may be good to look into to try and assure that Linc will still like off-roading as much as he does now would be a dirt bike or 4- wheeler. I've had one ever since I was a kid and still love it to this day, I also feel that he'd love to do something like that. But it's just an option and it's something way different than the little buggy.
I was thinking the same thing, UTV or Quad. Something a little more rugged than those go-carts, which most in the family seem to like.

It's a longe process to get it going again, Matt needs to buy the parts as they are needed and then wait for them to come, whereas a professional auto shop already knows what is needed and can get parts all at the same time. The students are also learning as the bronco is getting built, so it takes longer, whereas auto shop workers already know what to do.
Matt you made the right decision, painful but right, at least you got to name it.

I feel like selling NIghtmare was probably the smart move. To hold over that kind of fast offroad desire, why not get a side by side? Much more usable on your property, lots of places to use it outside of your house, and the kids can probably get more enjoyment out of it.
It's also pretty cool to see Mere doing something for herself. I've always hoped she would do her own sort of vlog channel with parenting things and such. I feel like I could learn alot from you guys as parents. I'm not too interested in fashion or beauty, but I will be reading her blog.

As a dad of 5. I feel your pain. The Hummer is a way better truck for the family. Still has that fun feeling without the terror and threat of death. Also, The Bronco will be a great truck when it is done.

You might try to hang them up like a video game does a texture sheet for a car. You can look up "car textures" or "car UV mapping" it's basically an unfolded box but sometimes the artist will use every available space. However take some artistic licence and just unfold it (the box that makes up the car) without worrying about wasted space.
Just a thought.

Great family hobby, Drag Racing. I still remember being at the track with my dad when i was younger, now have my own car and everything that goes along with it. Its a bit of a dying sport but alot of fun for everyone if they like loud and fast cars. Plus theres overnight track camping, cookouts, spending time in the trailer, etc.

Good move selling the truck IMHO. Perspective: you have more neat toys than most of us average Texans. I for one am really excited about the Bronco because of the tie to your friend, the community involvement through the high school and just plain saving a classic truck. Use the time now to design the your ultimate truck for a future build with Lincoln. Plus you still have the Brave Humvee (which I would love to have one of but can’t afford to feed them) and that zombie killing sports car in the garage! I have an ‘04 Trailblazer and am glad to have it 🙂
Matt, I would just like to say that admire you for what you did, getting ride of your ultra 4. That is one thing I have always admired and I tell people about you, that you have your priorities pretty straight (for the most part ;). We have all given up stuff for our families. It was a responsible decision on your part, and like you said, some day your boy may be into it and you and he can bond over a truck that isn’t “my dads racing truck” but is his and yours together which will mean so much more to him!

With the layout of the Truck panels you should mount it to the wall as if you were looking at it from above the car. So put the driver side upside down at the top, roof panel in the middle, back panels at the left, front panels on the right, passenger side at the bottom

99% of people who have pits have no clue what they are doing and have no business handling a dog that's has that kind of aggressive/defensive instincts.
So many men just want a macho pit bull and end up with an agressive dog they don't know how to train and who needs to be locked in a crate 23hrs a day so it doesn't kill someone

@TTrain pitbulls are save its the people owning them that are unsafe if a dog attacks without reason. there is always a reason mostly humans training their dog to attack.
My rednose pit for 16 years was amazing dog grew up with children and other dogs not 1 problem in 16 years,there actually really cuddle bugs but they do what u want them to do it's the owner not the dog
