In today's video, I introduce you to 4 print on demand platforms that will help you expand your brand and reach more customers. Which, in turn, can help you make more money and grow your business.
    0:00 - Intro
0:45 - How to Grow Your Brand With POD
2:57 - Intro to Amazon Merch
    5:27 - Intro to Printful
    7:31 - Intro to Zazzle
    9:55 - Intro to RedBubble
11:17 - Selling Merch Can Help Your Book Business
The print on demand (POD) platforms I'm talking about are not self publishing books platforms, like KDP. Instead, I'm talking about print on demand merchandise platforms.
I'll show you what each platform offers and how you can use them to reach new customers.
    The platforms I discuss are:
    Amazon Merch: kwheelerbooks.com/AmazonMerch
    Printful: kwheelerbooks.com/Printful
    Zazzle: kwheelerbooks.com/Zazzle
    RedBubble: kwheelerbooks.com/RedBubble

Yes! I appreciate this info e.g. what percent does the pod take for printing the product. I think Etsy and Shopify charge a rate for hosting your business. How to promote the business. I learned way back from D'vora Lensky about. "building a business with your book." The book is just the beginning. Wish I had taken her advice so many years ago. LOL.

Yes! Your book is only the beginning! I’ll be happy to create more videos about merch. Not sure how often they’ll come out. Let’s see how interested the rest of the viewers are in the topic.

Two Qs please Keith: (1) Are you doing swag? Or will? Saw this cool vid of yours and looked into Printful all excited - then the thought of having to deal with sales tax to all the various states evaporated my enthusiasm. So I guess I'll stay digital for "extras." (2) Does D2D handle children's picture books via EBOOK format well, if you have experience? Cannot find any info about the practicality of this since D2D wants Word docs. Any advice would be appreciated, Keith.

      Great questions!
1.) I do have some swag, mainly for in person gigs(craft fairs, author visits, etc) I also do shirts through Merch. Stickers are fun to include with kids books when customers order signed copies.
2.) D2D does children’s book ebook format very well. Unfortunately, you can’t use D2D for print versions of picture books at this time.

Do you have any recommendations for courses on merch by amazon? I've meant to get it going but not sure what I'm doing 😅

I got a bad review saying my journal wasn't clear and they weren't happy. I have no idea what they meant by it. I would like to know if she meant the font was not legible or if the actually page wasn't clear. Is there a way to add an email to my kdp bio or for the customer to contact us instead of writing a bad review? I tried adding my email to my bio but when I went to publish it, it said I was going against kdp guidelines. We can't add an email for our customers?

In the author bio you cannot add an email address. However, you can add your contact info inside your book. Also, if you’ve set up your author central account, you can actually respond to reviews. But if you do this, be sure to be consistent and keep it professional as this can quickly lead to a bad experience if you get defensive.

@@KeithWheelerBooks I thought about doing that but didn't because they are journals but now I wish I had. I've already uploaded almost 100 that I will have to go back and edit. I didn't know you could respond to reviews. I will look into that, thanks! I was devastated when she said she wasn't happy. My journals are motivational. I worked really hard on each one to make them unique, adding a lot of personal touches and words of inspiration. Last thing I wanted to hear was it didn't make them happy. 😕 I don't have the money to buy each one to see how they turned out and then I need to buy ads. Was hoping to save enough with organic sales but that one star review is going to work against my books getting into the algorithm. I've only sold three in the 9 months I've started making them. 😪
