I think from what might help you a little bit as well as join some 3G and some 4G Mitsubishi Eclipse forms and ask some questions some of those guys are really knowledgeable on this engine you're using a 2006 or 2007 engine in 2008 they changed it there's no longer a variable valve timing actuator on the timing belt side of the engine. I would suggest changing the gaskets in those they go bad and timing belt has to come off but I'm captivated in what you're doing it's amazing
this one is a 07, the back up is a 06, trust me i am am cruising club 3g and club 4g forums, thats how i found the 06 eclipse gt FSM for free for download lol. as far as i know and have found the mivec motor from 06-12 in the eclipse gt and from 08-12 in the galant ralliart are all the same. but yes minus head gaskets i planning on fully cleaning up, painting and regasketing the engine. going to also figure out is i want to stick with an eclipse oil pan or go with the endeavour one for more exhaust room. trying to keep this as back yard swappable so others might want to do it. the biggest thing for me is seeing these incredible builds or swaps and people going wow thats cool, but i could never do that.
Thank you for sharing your journey on this swap, huge fan and hope to one day maybe do the same thing or something similar. I binged your videos and it's great to see how relatively interchangeable these mitsubishi parts are between eachother. You've done a great job with the swap so far, can't wait to see it running and complete. Maybe we can find a way to get the 6g75 intake manifold on somehow, there's gotta be a way lol or some kind of hood modification necessary. I personally would have removed cruise control and kept the air intake on the right side in its place, but I think your approach is better and lets you keep things more stock which is great. Do you plan to run the A/C system?
