Mike Chen should go back to Lima, Peru. There is an interesting history of Chinese migration to Peru. My grandfather migrated to Peru in the early 20th century. Peru has the largest concentration of Chinese descendants in all of SouthAmerica. The Chinese cuisine is very popular in Peru ;and in the past few decades it has incorporated part of the Peruvian cuisine. There is a name people call the Chinese Restaurants iin Peru : CHIFA
I don't know why the food is nasty. I had a Peruvian Nanny and she would cook and NO ONE would liked the food. I had to tell her only to cook her meals for her or she could eat what I served.

did you get any Llama? The pork looked very Asian and reminded me of Hawaiian roast pork. The banana leaf wrapped rice is like dungzi, my mother use to make it with pork, chestnut and salted egg. Think i need to go visit Peru.
llama is not common, i've had alpaca in a cusco restaurant. depending on the place it can be good. llama i think is only available in low quality dried beef jerky. but you can try and get a nice alpaca beef in cusco or maybe in the sacred valley if you go looking for a good place to have it.
That experience of sharing food from different cultures is a great way to engage with people. I could see the pride they had in witnessing your enthusiasm for their food. The beginning was what I imagine Mikes heaven looks like when he dreams. It’s important for people to remember that in many places in the world their meat doesn’t come packaged in neat sanitised packages from a supermarket

Mike maybe I'm just your only subscriber from Peru and I would love to meet you. There are so many places to go to eat in Lima. I live in San Isidro, Lima very close to Miraflores. You have to know that Queso Helado it's not actually Cheese, there's no cheese in there but it's really good. Chicha morada it is fruity because it's boiled with apples and pineapple skins. I would explain you each dish from there. Anyway I'm glad you were here, see you next time.

I think a huge part is: Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Indian and North american Food is kind of being over represented. Seeing how happy the people are to share their Culture with others shows this even more. It is nice to see some diversity in culture. I mean sure it is nice to see Chinese food. It is nice to see Japanese food. You see Burgers, Pizza, Pasta, all kinds of European/American dishes on a daily basis. But I have yet to see a single dish from South Africa or South america. And I mean REAL, Authentic food. Ah well. Many I have to look a little harder here in germany ...

Mike maybe I'm just your only subscriber from Peru and I would love to meet you. There are so many places to go to eat in Lima. I live in San Isidro, Lima very close to Miraflores. You have to know that Queso Helado it's not actually Cheese, there's no cheese in there but it's really good. Chicha morada it is fruity because it's boiled with apples and pineapple skins. I would explain you each dish from there. Anyway I'm glad you were here, see you next time.

I think a huge part is:
Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Indian and North american Food is kind of being over represented. Seeing how happy the people are to share their Culture with others shows this even more.
It is nice to see some diversity in culture.
I mean sure it is nice to see Chinese food.
It is nice to see Japanese food.
You see Burgers, Pizza, Pasta, all kinds of European/American dishes on a daily basis.
But I have yet to see a single dish from South Africa or South america.
And I mean REAL, Authentic food.
Ah well. Many I have to look a little harder here in germany ...
