A brief explanation of why I haven't been posting videos via some thoughts on sustainable creative practices and getting over ourselves to be able to do the things we enjoy, beaming to you from the northernmost German / North Friesian island, Sylt!

I hope you enjoyed the fresh air and lovely walk. There is nothing wrong with talking to yourself in front of camera. I'm glad you've had a good breakfast.
Thank you! Yes it was nice to find something that wasn't mega expensive here, as the prices are quite Scandinavian... perhaps due to the proximity to Denmark? Well, it wasn't a cheap omelette but it was huge so it balanced out.
This is such an absolute mood. Thank you for sharing x
Thanks so much for saying so Sami, it's just a bit of the weirdness that rattles inside my head but making this really helped! I hope you're keeping super well xo
You are an absolute joy!
you’re very kind, Jerry xo
Lovely video - and thoughts, can relate to a whole bunch of this. I definitely have a few bits of camera gear that I bought as a theoretical solution to "I feel weird walking and talking in public with people around" - which I then don't use because I haven't taken the time to learn how to use them, and then worried I'll mess up a shot.
This is the gentle kick in the ass I need to just get on with it.
Get out there, Dan!!! I see you as being 100% sorted in all fronts, so it’s interesting to hear how others view themselves more humbly than we perceive them. Honesty is helpful!
Well done. Keep going with the process, hope you get through your current worries & start feeling happier. I totally get the way you feel, I often feel hugely self conscious about doing pretty basic stuff in public and know id struggle with filming myself out & about so I reckon you’re doing great xx
Oh well thank you!! Your encouragement is so appreciated xo
Penfriend album name 'Do Stuff, Stuff Happens', first track 'Full of Omelette'.
I’m omelette!
Best of luck with your trip and personal adventure 😊
Thank you xx
Not in a position to judge things which might be making you feel down, but I hope some time away has helped. Hopefully it's some consolation that your work is enjoyed by many people.
Thank you - it is lovely to have a reminder of that as it's not something I think about every day. I hope you're keeping well!
@@PenfriendrocksWell thank you. I was listening to 'Direction of Travel' last night, should thrash myself on a rower shortly and will go to the cinema this evening. Hope things are similarly well back in Nottingham.
@@chengdogu6352 Thank you! I'm just settling back in but it's lovely to be home yeah xo
Looks nice there, I travel alone too and have been to Denmark but not there, maybe one day, who knows 🤖
Ah, my phone thought I was in Denmark yesterday because I was by the ferry port going to Rømo. I was tempted to take a little sea trip but the buses back don't run super late. It's great here, but has an odd mix of Porsche dealerships / designer clothes shops and rugged natural beauty. I like being in places slightly out of season, so it's not super busy at the moment.
Where in Denmark would you recommend visiting? I went to Copenhagen once on tour and managed a long bike ride round the city, but would love to see more of the country.
@@Penfriendrocks I went to Copenhagen and from there visited Roskilde and over the Oresund bridge to Malmo. Was really great!
Oh fabulous!@@jonstfrancis
Well done you, keep on keeping on 😊
Thank you! 😃
Sending love back

I wish I could do that.
Which bit? I'm here to encourage you to do any bit of it you wan to!! x
@@Penfriendrocks Speak openly, to a camera and a whole world, with honesty and making yourself vulnerable.
@@PurePresentations Ah yes. It's quite a process - or, it's been quite a process for me. If you're interested in trying it a good way to start is to film yourself talking with no intention of uploading it. It's just for practice - both at doing the talking and at not cringing watching yourself back. It gets better with time, I promise. A great tip I heard from someone on here is to pretend the camera lens is a good friend you're sharing something with. That one helped me a lot xo
I watched this video today and thought of you@@PurePresentations - there's some brilliant advice in here ruclips.net/video/5vEBTSbk-DQ/видео.html

Ha yes, I'm not much of one for small talk either.
