Beautiful Royale 2 and one of the best COE if you ask me. I am a huge COE fan, love ‘em.

O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 My dad bought many REOs back in the day for his transfer business. He liked the way they looked & ran. I have his last REO, a 1951 F22 model that I’m restoring. I love REOs myself! 🥰🤩✌️

My dad bought a 1974 Diamond Reo royal in the 80's, it was a cabover, with a 318 detroit. And a 13 speed transmission. I learned to drive a rig with this truck. It sure was nice.

Really nice truck! A lot of time invested! I have a 1974 Diamond Reo COE that I use to haul grain on my farm. It is not a Royal II but it is still a pretty rare old truck. Will consider selling as I am getting ready to retire.

Brilliant, such a change from the norm. I can remember seeing CEO Diamond REOs when I lived in Omaha in the early to mid '70s but they were pretty scarce even then.

Awesome cabover. 🚛😎👍 Not many cabovers on the roads here in the USA🇺🇸 anymore like there use to be back in the 1980s & down.

O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸As usual, I love getting the background history of the trucks! My dad was a REO lover. He bought several REO cars & trucks back in the day. It’s true, you don’t see too many Diamond REO Royale cabovers, anyway. I saw one in a junkyard years ago. Sadly, it got scrapped. They have a very unique look! I’m glad he said that he would grind the Volvo markings off the rear end. That would really make the truck look awkward. I’m not a Volvo lover anyway. This is one sweet looking cabover! Cabovers Rule, you know! Be nicer if it were mine! I have an old 51 REO wrecker that I’m restoring. Thanks for capturing this fine truck! Great stuff! 🥰😎✌️

@@MissFlatbedRed Getting a good cabin view as much as possible for me is maybe better than outside. Just loved em since a kid , getting to ride sometimes , putting models together I wanted to check out all that leather , gauges , knobs , chrome. The sleepers were the icing on the cake. Thanks for posting the vids.

Awesome paint scheme, cool old truck. Cracks in the steering wheel but that's fine, you stuck with the classic vintage interior theme.

Ran away from home when I was 15. Drove from WV to Lansing just after Diamond T merged. Got a job in engineering specs department. They had a 1931 Reo Royale the used for airport shuttle for guests. Dad found me when my appendix ruptured. My Lansing career was over😅

I grew up in Tuckerman Arkansas not far from Jonesboro, I like the Idea of having a THSA Chapter there, a Lot of People would probably join, Especially the Farmer's in the area because so many still have Old Trucks like that in their Fleets

Very cool and uncommon truck. I'd gladly take a D-A If i could find one in Michigan. Wasn't the newer ones late-70s and 80s just peterbilts? Unless i heard wrong. Always loved the unique interior dash layout. very cool

The color definitely matches something called a Royale. Beautiful rig you got there. I don't see many or any cabbie diamond rios but a guy I know of has a white one like the green one parked next to you is the first I've ever heard of diamond reos. I was 19 at the time and I put 8 drives on it and he parked it and it sat ever since. It's a shame really, nature is slowly reclaiming it.

@@MissFlatbedRed I know Reo tried making a come back in the 80's. My brother worked for an Ohio propane outfit that bought a new glider daycab, circa 1986. The owner said it was constructed in PA.
