O-H-I-O Porters🇺🇸My friend, you made my day! Now seeing this in 2024. What a cool cabover & matching trailer! The history was totally awesome! It was quite funny that a Cummins lover buys a truck with a Cat….and then really likes it! Like he wouldn’t appreciate what he now has! That 3406A Cat is a great engine & it sounds like a Cat should! These 2 brothers have good taste! The color matching tractor & trailer is eye popping! Seeing you drive it…well, be it a teasing little bit, was quite a thrill! I expected you to swing out & down when getting out. Hahaha! I bet that & the kisses made your day, too! Thrilling video! Thanks! Blessings my friend! 🥰🤩✌️
The perfect trailer choice. 42’ of stainless steel with a subtle blue trim job really makes this combo aesthetically pleasing. An outstanding tractor trailer combo.
Thanks for posting. Brings back memories of my '82 Western Star cabover. Beautifully over engineered truck, so simple, built to last. Volvo-White ruined it, cut every corner to make it cheaper.
What a work of art, sharp tractor, and the trailer is just beautiful.I was sorry to hear the Astro was trashed,I have always been a fan of the Titan, Astro cab overs a body style that time hasn't aged.
Come on now, Western Star and a Caterpillar engine is a perfect combination, nothing like a caterpillar my friend. Ive ran all engines and i always go back to a cat motor.
Beautiful paint work on that outstanding truck!!!!!!......and the trailer is beautiful as well!!!!!!!........that has to be one of my favorite trucks that I have come across in a extremely long time!!!!!!!!.......and the owners of this rolling ART work seem like very very nice people!!!!!!!!......and as usual thank you for your outstanding content and channel!!!!!!!!!...... please keep up the outstanding job!!!!!!!!!!😊😊😊
Whattuh absolute beautiful combination setup! It has been a very, very, long time since I've seen a COE Western Star! Thankya for sharingthis videow!!!
I have only ever seen one of these. It was red in colour towing an equally neat red flatbed powered by a Silver 8V92 Detroit. I think it was privately imported to Australia as I have seen no other since.
That a amazing truck model for sure, i was trying to replicate in 3d model but I was with lack of good resourses, and now you come with this video, Just up my love for this truck!!! Amazing!
Goodday from Melbourne, Australia. This is such a beautiful combination, you thoroughly deserve all the accolades that come your way. Back in the late 90's early 2000's I worked at a Western Star / Isuzu dealership selling Isuzu trucks but always loved checking out the new Western Star Constellations. Western Star also bought out for a brief period a Western Star Cabover with either Caterpillar Detroit Cummins. It was s British ERF Cab with Western Star badging. Comfortable all that but not in the same league as Kenworth Cabover's. Back then there was a booming market for high power Cabover's with sleepers because everyone was going from single trailer to 25 metres B Doubles. To get the maximum cargo space you needed a Cabover prime mover. The Western Star Cabover's didn't sell well & always had electrical problems. 24 volt prime mover with a 12 volt engine too many mismatch. Now 20 & a bit years later you just don't see them anywhere not even as old farm trucks. Worth checking out I think they were designated Western Star 5864 if my memory is okay. Cheers Louis Kats 👍
I am with you I am a Cummins man, Western Stars were made by White motor corp originally, not sure if that one was but it does have a White Road Commander Cab with smaller windows.
This westernstar cabover was built by the white motor Corp in Cleveland Ohio in February of 1979 and actually the road commander cab may look similar to the westernstar but they are 2 different cab designs.
great video what a gorgous white western star cabover carl and pete have and there aint many of them left out of 620 theres is 475 off the assembly line mine is # 4 off the assembly line
Do you by any chance have any videos or pics you could put up of it? No matter what condition it's in I'm sure alot of people including myself would love to see it?
Great Looking Hot Rod. That is one Fine Unit. Wash that guy's mouth out for not loving Caterpillars. Back in the 70s. Caterpillar was way more dependable than Cummins. That even sounded like a 3406 PC motor. Great Video. 👍 Stay Safe out There 🇺🇸
I thought so. We bought a brand new 78 359 Pete with a PC motor 13sp. That was the best truck ever. The only thing that we did was 370s and go from manual to power steering. It was Kool to fool people into thinking it was a 1693TA back in the Day. Real Cat Guys knew the difference though. LMAO. Good luck with your project. Great Looking Hot Rod. Stay Safe. TRUCKEM EASY. ! 👍🇺🇸
@@charlesferebee263 my dad drove a 359 short hood 75 or a 76 Pete back in the day with a 380hp cat and that was a great truck!! And thank God he is still trucking with a freshly redone95 model 9300 international. But I must say I have 2 big cam Cummins and s n14 celery plus and love all 3 but I still would love to have a cat one day!
The truck does not have air ride it's a factory 176" wheelbase on reyco 101 suspension with 4:33 rears rated at 38,000 lbs. 13 spd. Sitting on tall rubber!
I like how ya'll keep tractor and trailer like it was when it was manufacturing no put a long wheel base no straight stack what beautiful tractor
Man that is a a awesome truck and trailer combo

Another beautiful truck. Gotta love the sound of an A model kitty cat. Very nice job on the restoration.
Man that is a first-class restoration !
Beaautiful job! Gorgious! 😊👍🏻
God I miss cab overs being everywhere.
I too miss the "GREAT OLE DAYS" when I used to see
"CAB-OVER-ENGINES" even more than I used to see "CONVENTIONALS".
Incredible. I’d have no problem driving one of these back in the day.
Nice story and a nice restoration.
Doggone good looking combination! Keep her clean and upright, fellas. SWEET!!!!!

Just had a wicked brain freeze looking at that dash. Drove truck for 15 years BITD and now I can’t recall what the blue button was for!
That was the parking brake for the tractor only.
Cool Guys and a cool Rig :)
A real true head turner👍

Beautiful rig😊
That is absolutely awesome. Such a cool truck. I'm sure these guys have made a great investment with that beauty. Looks and runs mint. 👌👍
That is a sweet setup
Man it's even cooler than I originally first stated it's got an A model kitty cat the only cat motor I've ever liked man that was a cool star car
What makes that truck even more unique is that factory 3406 PCTA. A little odd hearing a clattery growl.
Very nice job well done!

Cabovers are cool to see but not good drive in for years at a time. Would be nice to see at night w the marker lights on.
There are nighttime views in the full video.
That’s a beauty.
Very nice 👌 👍
Total sweetass, original Western Star cab over!! Kickass rig from a couple of yankees.
