I was one of few spectators on the Queen K that day. Incredible time. Saw Mark at finish line. .busted my balls with going nature at the finish line he saw me on the course rooting for Dave Mark is a pure class individual.
Dave should've shaken Mark off his legs, not letting him shadowing him ( like 1987 Ironman, let him take the lead, and see what's he's at). he'd probably won the race. he served as a pacer for Mark, no matter what talent this guy possessed.

What an example of class Dave Scott is, both great but his lack of excuses - his integrity - something every young athlete should model.

and a year later the ironwar comes back with macca and raelert, and it is a even closer finish then with Dave and mark
Amazing, he should have asked them if they could would they have liked to go back in time and do it again? I bet they would. Awesome race.
