I have the THOR Scope on the same RAM ProMaster chasis and compared to the Solis there is no comparison. As a female traveler a fully self contained bathroom is a must! I have used my shower several times and works wonderful and that cassette toilet is easy to dump and I use it all the time I am not interested in finding a bathroom, using my own whenever I need it works well with me!
I read about a lot of build quality problems when I was considering getting a very small RV. As prices went up, I decided not to buy anything, but maybe rent instead.
The MSPR is insane, even half that amount is.
It's a nope 🙅♀️ for me
I need a bathroom space. I am willing to give up the dining room table area. I've had big campers and two fifthwheels, and that dining room space was wasted on us. 😅 Mind you, we lived on the East Coast in summer and the West Coast in the winter months. Trust me, a bathroom 🚻 will always be a "must-have" for us.
Love the Porta Potty but I would actually continue to use the collapsible toilet that I use in my Mini Van. It would take up way less space, and I like that I can just throw away the bags in the morning. In all the RV's I owned, I never showered in them and I find the Bathroom to be a complete waste and just something else that requires maintenance and breaks.
Finally! Someone uses the space behind the driver's seat for something other than additional passenger seats! This is a great use of that space. I never understood builders putting passenger seats back there because very few folks use class B's for family camping. Usually just a couple or a single. I definitely love the durable flooring and the air compressor is a nice touch too. Well done Winnebago!
With the RV Market suffering and still trying to sell 2022 units, I think it's pretty brave for Winnebago to promote and sell a class B motorhome for an MSRP of 142k. I hope Winnebago is prepared to thankfully sell the minimalist amenities in this unit at a starting point of 45 to 50 percent off of MSRP. There's just not enough to pay more than 68 to 72k for this unit despite the Winnebago name. I just don't understand this ballsy MSRP. But thank God they include a plastic porta potty! Aint happening Winnebago. I love your other products but this one fails miserably when putting this unit up against your competition.
Appreciate your thoughts and consideration. I do think the sales price of these are reasonably priced compared to other models in the market with the quality I see in this Motorhome. The MSRP prices always seem high across the board.
The msrp is just a huge turn-off. We're excited to buy one but not from a dealer that jacks the price up like that
My Thor Scope was $84000 new in 2021 and it's had a few issues but not much, a full self contained bathroom and worth every penny!
@mikej6544 Is that all you have? Please do me / us a favor and make some type of logical rebuttal. You see, Mike, "I do know what I'm talking about" Please enlighten us now.
I have been in the market for a Camper Van and started looking months before my timeline..I also have the option of going Nation wide so I’ve learned a lot over the last 3 months . Their is a glut currently of Vans Mercedes, Dodge, Ford Transit and these Solis and other models. I recently saw a Van at 295,000. It has been unbelievable to me the value people put on these builds and expect a return when the vehicle is years older/100,000. The good news is that prices have been dropping tens of thousands , yet many are still sitting even with the lowered price.
This is PERFECT for a mobile office!!
Love this unit, small, versatile, perfect for us. The seating area is great as a
work station. Absolutely don’t care about a bathroom on a van. An emergency potty is enough. Would rather take a comfortable shower at campground or a gym and leave the space for things you do more often. Now we just need to get the price down to a reasonable level.
I would like to see a small microwave, small tv, and a portable Bluetooth speaker as options. A portable induction cooktop that can be moved to an outdoor table would be nice. I can live without a bathroom. But, a built in toilet is better than a porta potty. I don’t need a shower. But, for $141,000, it doesn’t have much.
They were about half that when first introduced.
No one is paying that
thank you for telling us the outside height no one tells you, so important to figure out where to park it
Does this have a shower attachment for the back with a shower curtain for that rod ?
We bought a '23 Pocket seven weeks ago. We had a '20 Travato G that I absolutely hated for many reasons and couldn't wait to downsize. Despite the small size, the pocket has much more usable/accessible storage. The Travato's bathroom always seemed like a waste of space to me. I mean, how long do you spend in it every day? 10 minutes? We're basically old tent campers who're used to peeing in buckets. I even got rid of that little squatty potty so I'd have more storage space. It's roomier than a Travato, it doesn't have a TV that we never used, no awning to worry about (there was a recent recall because of their tendency to deploy on the freeway!) it's cheaply built, no question, but it's really smartly thought out. I miss the Travato's heater, which ran on AC and/or propane, the Pocket's heater is propane only. And we added a small, cheap microwave. I love my little Pocket! So much easier to drive, so much more comfortable than the Travato.
(OBTW, the included air compressor is in lieu of a spare tire and is primed with green Slime to seal the puncture until you can get it fixed)
Thanks. I’m looking at one also. Wondering how much your dealer knocked off MSRP. The one I’m looking at also has hail damage so I am looking for a great buy!
Really really nice!
This is very nice. Great coverage of both the interior and exterior.
Thanks for watching!
Absolutely a great thing to have 🚽
The Porta potty isn't that bad... now back in the day, I would be like nope, nope, but I like it, I like the whole van.
100% love the toilet
I Like The Silver Lugnuts!!!!!!!
I love this!!
Glad you love it!
This is just good for 2 people and perfect for me. No shower but the emergency toilet is important. How much it is?
Price of all RVs is dropping dramatically this is extremely overpriced but I do like the design
Very nice!
Thanks for watching!
No thank you with that price 😂
Love your videos brother, I don't own an RV or camper yet but for the price of this van I could get a nice travel trailer and a nice truck to pull it. the only advantage I see for vans like this is the size, easier to drive and park, which is the main point of this type of van I'm guessing.
What is the price for this one?
@@pjsopinion8028depends on the city state dealer etc etc etc etc so many variables
porti potty a must. Easy to empty and
clean
Solis 36A is a great floorplan. Take it price would be about 28% off MSRP. Would be great if i were a single traveler but id want an on board generator. For the price it lacks the upgraded RAM dash with larger screen. Could go and park anywhere.
Builders waste room with the couch and table behind the driver seat. That space is better for a washer/dryer / closet/ drawers system better .
If I will bring a 2 friends for my trip, there is still have enough room to sit on. Can I also drive it for my regular basis?
The price of this is really steep with such a basic build.
So there is hot water now? Earlier year models did not!
Really interested in the Solis Pocket, but I live in Canada. Is there a closer dealership to Montreal?
Porta potty? Are you saying it’s a cassette toilet? I prefer that over the stinky slinky situation.
Working mobile and just like to take day trips but still work at scenic locations I do not need a kitchen or a bed. I would need a space for multiple large screens and satellite internet access and of course adequate battery for a long day of computing. If I had to pick I would like a refrigerator and ability to make hot water for tea. A bed would not be needed. Ample office space would be my focus.
That air pump I’ll bet is for the air mattress
It's because they don't come with a spare tire. The compressor has the green slime stuff in it to seal the puncture and get you running until you can get to a tire shop and have it repaired or replaced.
doesn't appear that an outdoor shade canopy can be added
I don't need a shower or toilet in a van. People are taking these vans to campsites where they have everything. And if you are overlanding you want to be in a close contact with the nature, that's the whole point. So an outdoor shower is perfect, and for a toilet, you can use a small shovel and you are ready to ... I am only missing two passenger seats and it would be perfect "budget" family camper. In Europe, we had Westfalias, and they were family vehicles perfect for camping. And much smaller than this van.
No hot water. The Truma is for heating only.
Missed interior water fill and indicator light.
Great Winnebago I really Like It alot Needs To Be A Little Larger for Sleeping two People Separately Would Be Ideal.
I can see no shower but not having a decent toilet kills it
Toilets cause stink n extra weight,,, even if i had one with a toiletI would get a porta potty and or a Luggable Loo,,,
Some ppl don’t want to deal with a black tank. This enables more space for other things. This would just be over flow cabin sleeping and home office for me. Winnebago makes so many other vans with all the black tanks you want.
Geezzzzz…………… you people are soooooo annoying when you don t show the interior first. If i don t like what it looks like, i don t care about the gadgets and boy s toys…..ya know🤷♀️. But i really like the screened door. Finally!!!!
Geeezzzz….. you people are sooooooo annoying acting like it’s impossible to possibly fast forward like you’re watching on a TV from 1995 😂
@@mylesrv lolllll. I don t want to have to fast forward ….i want to see….and then!! Fast forward 🤣😂👍🌹
@@SN-hg6bx well… unfortunately I have tried it both ways, and I’ll always go with the option RUclips shows me is working the best to get the most amount of people to come across a video and watch for the longest amount of time, and that’s this format here 🤷♂️
I don't think this has a water heater unless that is something new.
The little toilet is too short for people who have knee problems. Plus one of the dry toilets would be a great option.
Get a Luggable Loo 😂
Emergency life or death situation only is the idea
I tried. Pass on everything. Video and van.
like to have the porti potty
The compressor was for the mattress not just something handy to have and the toilet is a cassette toilet. If your going to give a tour at least know the veh!
Sorry… there are hundreds of RVs out there and I’m not an expert on every single one. Sounds like you should make some videos! I always have more to learn.
The compressor is for a flat tire kit. The Solis has no spare tire.
@@dwoodygura I saw in the video the gentleman said it was for the bed but I’m not invested in finding out
For the price point I am disappointed it doesn’t have an awning, extension on the faucet, ability to have a heated outside shower off the back doors. It has some cool features but it doesn’t benefit the female traveler very well. Pretty sure a woman wasn’t involved in this build.
The suspension is Way Way to LOW...
$142K…and wait for it. Wait for it. WITHOUT A BATHROOM. Dude. Why are you wasting our time?!!? Hilarious. I’m still laughing. WTF?!!?
If a van doesn't have a recirculating water in the shower than it is not worth the money.
No bathroom, not interested.
Tires look cheap
It all looked cheap. Too thin and flimsy sounding. I'll pass.
It didn’t feel cheap to me when in there. Because Winnebago makes all their own cabinets and furniture, it has a more premium feel than a lot of competing products around the same price.
$142,000 for a van?? GTFO. Nothing about this vehicle says $142k.
You can get a van better than this less than half the price.
I would buy a $60k van by Adria and pay $10k for shipping and taxes.
Does this guy have a pierced tongue or a lisp? I find it very distracting.
No I do not have a pierced tongue and I’ve never in my life been told I have a lisp so I don’t know what to tell you. I feel like I talk normal 😂
ARE YOU PEOPLE INSANE $138,726 PLUS TAX FOR THIS TINY BOX 😂😂😂😂😂😂. THIS SHOULD BE AT THE VERY MOST
$ 82-83,000 .IT IS OVERPRICED BY AT LEAST $48,000-50,000😂😂😂😂
This is PERFECT for a mobile office!!
