    I remember using Impulse Tracker after acquiring a collection of MOD's and S3Ms in a magazine.
    I listened to 2 of his songs on SoundCloud, they sounded very good, they made me remember, one of "Westbam ft Africa Bambaataa - Agartha", the other "Hidden Logic - Time".

    Your timeline on this is a little confused. MIDI was nowhere near as developed as it was in the late 80s/early 90s compared to 4-channel MOD files on Amiga. They weren't really contemporaries, or competing formats.
