It’s time to put an end to the narrative that Portuguese managers aren’t successful outside of Portugal. Leonardo Jardim literally put together the best Monaco team in the last 10/15 years and won the league, developing players like mbappe, Bernardo, mendy, Fabinho and more. Jorge Jesus came to Brasil and took over the league, and is doing the same in Saudi, Abel won the libertadores and gave the world Endrick. Need I continue?

The narrative on Ruben Amorim possibly leaving Sporting at the end of the season has been sort of skewed by the Portuguese press. What they implied is that he could leave this season possibly on his own terms, to proceed to other bigger projects. When in reality what he said was that he couldn't guarantee that he would stay for next season because he promised that if Sporting didn't win any trophies like last season, he would leave.
He's a very professional man, as a Sporting fan I believe he will stay and I hope he will stay, he's gotten Sporting back to where we belong, at the top of Portugal.
I also think he would do great at Liverpool, they have the structure to fully back him and he would succeed. Great video!

Mate stop this, english teams are references to where they come from, chelsea Football club, why? Because chelsea is an area in London, totenham same, fulham, same, arsenal same, i should know i lived there. West ham same. The names of the english clubs are all references where they originate from get it. London is a big City, so clubs there are reference to the burrough they originate from. So no they would not take the name London for themselves, that would not make sense as they do not in any sense represent the city, alot of the premier league clubs come from London. Liverpool comes from, wait for it, Liverpool, Manchester city, comes from, manchester, manchester united, hmmm though one, manchester. Actually the name of the clubs are City and United, the Manchester name is just there became thats where they're from.
Now Sporting, yes its sporting clube de Portugal, in Portugal, for them its Sporting Lisbon, because its sporting from Lisbon, thats where the club originates from, thats where they play, its a Lisbon club, like it or not that's what it is, and it definitely does not represent the entire country when they have rivals just as big or bigger than them. And to add up, we have countless sportings in portugal, sporting de Braga, sporting clube de farense, sporting clube de espinho etc Etc. To them Sporting CP will always be Sporting Lisbon, its a Losing battle, and why fans keep fighting this makes no sense. Yes its Sporting clube te Portugal for us Fans, but abroad its Sporting Lisbon deal with it.
And by the way crystal palace is a district in London, so its also a location reference.

@@YourFootballZone forget it mate portuguese fans can be stubborn when they want. Sporting lisbons real name is Sporting clube de Portugal, that's what they want to be called abroad, they don't get it that in the UK and most foreign countries clubs names are a reference to where they come from, hence sporting being a club from lisbon, abroad is sporting lisbon.
They always come crying about the name when foreigners call it sporting lisbon, almost everyone in the UK calls real Madrid just Madrid, never heard them get offended, it is what it is.
We have a lot of Sporting's in portugal, but only Sporting lisbon is part of the big three that dominates portuguese football, so the other sportings barely use that name, its like they lost the right to it, apart from Braga, which is called Sporting clube de Braga and even them most just call the. Braga, because in portugal if someone says Sporting, then its assumed right away you are talking about sporting lisbon, and sporting clube de Portugal translated to sporting club from Portugal, so to sporting fans they are the real Sporting above all the other ones, that at some point in portuguese history where just satelite clubs for sporting lisbon.
Braga for example was such a case they used the white and green from sporting, but when they broke away they had played arsenal and took inspiration from them and changed to the arsenal colours, hence in portugal Braga is known as the Arsenalistas. Almost all the other lesser sportings still play with sporting lisbon colours.

Another video implying that Amorim coaches a team called Sporting Lisbon….😓
the only team with a name close to that is Sport Lisboa e Benfica, two city names, yet missing the “ing” on the name. And then Rubén is coaching Sporting Clube de Portugal, or just Sporting.
This is so offensive to our club name and rich history, even if it was intended to Benfica, it would also offend them because they are just referred to as Benfica and not Sporting Lisbon, the only Lisbon club with the Lisbon on their name.
If the video is redone with the name José pronounced correctly and the correct club name, then it will be based on real facts and I am sure all the Sportinguistas would subscribe and like the video.
But R. Amorim is staying, so don’t bother 😅😂

Amorim is nowhere near ready for Liverpool.. Are we forgetting Sporting finished 4th last season? Which is a rare historical event for one of the 3 greats to finish below the podium, very disappointing... Are we really gonna see this Liverpool squad playing in 3-4-3? That would be ridiculous. Plus, Gyokeres is the reason Sporting is winning the title this season, just like Man City only won the CL with Haaland... Last season with Paulinho they finished 4th, the season before was also underwhelming... They won it in 2021 because, just like this season, they had someone to score 30+ goals (Pedro Gonçalves).... Amorim was always stubborn about having Paulinho as the only striker on the squad and on the field. This is the first season they signed a quality striker and you can tell the difference. His stubborness to stick to Paulinho hurt Sporting in the past and it took him 3 seasons to see that which everybody else was seeing from the start! Paulinho was never a good fit! Amorim is, for now at least, a good developer of young players and that's about it. Diomande, Inácio, Mendes, Porro, Palhinha, Nunes, Ugarte.... He does have potential to be great but as of now he is very green (pun intended)

U sound a bit like a sad benfiquista my friend 😂 not trying to have a fight here but we have to understand that for Sporting to have financial stability on the long term we did not invest on getting new players after selling Matheus and Nuno mendes. He had a very short squad last year. It was a bad season but this year we got eeeeem. Also its not very realistic to give all the credit to our golden Boy Gioo cmoon man. We all now how important it is to have a good striker and a good defense in Portugal thats how the game goes. I dont think he is that green but a couple more league titles with the green boys whouldnt hurt his career💚. Greetings

@@miguelcarvalho7881 typical sportinguista, can't argue without complaining of benfiquistas... I'm just looking out for Liverpool's interests. Benfica has its own problems.. I wouldn't recommend Benfica's manager to Liverpool of Montevideo! 😂
You speak of financial balance and lack of investment yet Sporting spent at least 30M on useless players appointed by Amorim. Paulinho (16M), Esgaio (5M), Sotiris (4M) and others... All credited to Amorim. Imagine if that money was spent on players at Sporting's level. Not to mention the financial setback from not qualifying for the CL due to last season's 4th place. He is a stubborn manager, I heard many sportinguistas say that in previous seasons, even if they are euphoric now, bcuz we know fans have short memories. As for Gyokeres influence, the stats speak for themselves. Diomande and Hjulmand were also great signings but Sporting had Ugarte last season, one of the best DM in the world in my opinion. The difference from last season is in the attack. It's one thing to play with Paulinho, it's another to play with the swede

@@miguelcarvalho7881 This season, you're right, because he scores playing alongside Gyokeres, who is a striker that creates a lot of spaces and drags a lot of defenders with him, thus even a subpar CF like Paulinho can score some goals. But he is not nearly good enough to be the team's reference in attack, the way Amorim was forcing him to be. A real reference was needed since the beginning, but Amorim was the one that rejected bringing in another striker, instead holding on to Paulinho. All the other strikers used (seldom) came from the academy like Chermiti, Tomás and Ribeiro, because Amorim simply refused to take Paulinho out of the starting 11 thus sacrificing the quality of the team's play. I'm just saying imagine if they signed a real CF before. Sporting might have won more titles. They would've certainly be closer to winning

I hope Amorim gets something better than managing Liverpool; he hardly ever complains about refereeing or resorts to excuses, and he's one of the most objective and honest managers I've ever seen. I don't think he'd be a good fit for Liverpool's loser mentality; he's not one to fish for excuses every time something goes south, like Klopp and the Scousers; he actually owns up to his mistakes. I hope everything goes well for him and that he can hopefully find a club that matches his world-class mentality. Probably the best manager to come out of Portugal in the last 10 or so years.

So you basically want a carbon copy of Klopp, who all us Liverpool fans claim to be unique? In my opinion, we need to look for a younger and more modern tactician who looks at the game and squad in a different light. Although Klopp is the best thing to happen to our club in a long long time, I feel like he has a lot of bad habits, ranging from his team selections, his tactics and also his obsession with playing square pegs in round holes (take Szoboszlai for example). I think we all need to stop being so glum about Klopp leaving, and instead be more excited about the potential future under a new manager. The club doesn't cease to exist once he leaves, and I think you need to come to terms with that.
