My machine brother Aj 1400 very simple.. And I m trying to do turns and circling but I always have eyelashes on the top fabric.. And feels like it only go forward and don't make backward and side stiches.. I doing raw edge no sandwich.. What could be the problem
I have the BQ950. Tried free motion with the feed dogs down and using the quilt foot that came with the machine. I don’t have the open toed one. But when I started to sew, the machine starts to zig zag instead of just making a plain stitch. Is there a setting I’m missing? I tried setting stitch width to zero, didn’t help! Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for watching and asking a question. Be sure you are set to straight stitch only and that the width button is indeed not engaged. If you can't get it to stop, send a picture of your screen and settings. education@mysewingroom.ca Please like, share and subscribe if you have not yet...
Brother currently does not have a ruler foot, but we do carry Westalee Ruler Feet which are compatible with Brother machines. There are 3 different options available and your model of machine will determine which one is best for you. Low Shank Foot is the most common in Brother’s line up - mysewingroom.ca/product/westalee-ruler-foot-low-shank-for-domestic-sewing-machi/ High Shank Foot - less common but some of the mid-high end models - mysewingroom.ca/product/westalee-ruler-foot-high-shank-for-domestic-sewing-mach/ High Shank Special - fits PQ1500 style machines - mysewingroom.ca/product/westalee-ruler-foot-high-shank-special-with-template/ If you are unsure which foot is best for your machine please email at orderdesk@mysewingroom.ca

I have the brother cs6000i and have the same issues. I’d love the answers to your questions also.

Good morning! I did as you suggested and sent photos to your email a few minutes ago.
Is the needle always should be in the middle?
Thank you for watching and commenting. Typically the needle will be in the center. Select the center needle position.
Thank you very much and also I wanted to ask should I use a fabric exp 15^×15' or can I do on the quilt as I practice free motion for a week every day
@@evelyniyer260 Whichever makes you happy. Warming up on scrap works for some but diving right into it is acceptable too.
Thank you for your help. I am in Sydney
@@evelyniyer260 you are so welcome
Are there any quilting templates that will work with this oval-shaped foot? Is there a 1/2" ROUND ruler foot that will work for a Brother machine?
