I don't mind dry economy food - better than getting sauce all down my shirt front🤣. If the ticket price was good then all I ask for is legroom, cleanliness and an efficient and friendly cabin crew. People out there don't seem to realise that Air India can't do everything at once. In addition to major plane purchases, they are progressively upgrading their interiors. All will come good I hope. I enjoyed your vlog (as usual).
Hi Norman. It’s nice to hear from you! and thank you for your comment. Correct. I have good feelings that Air India will be back to its glory days. We need to give them some time that’s all. On these days the ticket is probably 1/2 of the price in relation to Singapore airlines on the same route. Take care!
Thank you Duane! Overall it was a good flight (left on time, arrived on time, no turbulence and the cabin crew were professional and attentive) and yes, they were strict when I checked-in in Dubai (I connected in DEL for the flight to Singapore). All the best!
@NotYanisYanis no he did not because he has latest thinks we can see it in his vids ( example: in his etihads video he showed us the new airport) if its old how is this possible...
Hey Jerry. Thank you for your comment. They will be back. There are some good chances since the Tata group acquire the company. They will be back. All the best!
How's security, is it intense and long, is your flight to Singapore 75% full, does Air India wideody jet on the Dreamliner have wifi, how many hours did you sleep on the plane, do you remember how much you pay to fly Air India to Singapore, how's passport control for entering and visiting Singapore, did you enjoy your trip?
Hi Kevin. The price for this ticket which it was one way (DXB-SIN with a layover in DEL) cost me $1,795 AED which is approx. $488USD. As fat as I know the Dreamliners don't have WiFi . I have heard that Air India plans to introduce Wi-Fi connectivity on its international flights starting in November. Passport control in SIN was quick and smooth. As an aviation geek I have enjoyed the flight but probably some passengers haven't since the IFE didn't work. Best!
2:14, Really, why? No way. But I don't like about transit and departing India is security is super strict, it takes half an hour, even though some passengers is transiting, you have to take out almost everything on my bag, the security staff is so inefficent and took a little break, it's so annoying. What's even worse is security is a nightmare in Cairo, even transiting, it's slow and you have to take out almost everything, even shoes, it's so annoying and the security staff took break for 5 minutes, it's so inefficent and waste of time, even with a tight connection, so avoid transiting in Egypt, even it's the only option and they don't speak English, just a little it.
You are right! Security took me an hour! It was good that I planned this ahead, so I had enough time between flights. Thank you for let me know about Cairo
Yes. Wow. Yes, make sure the layover in Cairo is 4 to 6 hours, before your next flight. I watch a RUclipsr connecting and transiting in Cairo to another flight and security is super intense, inefficient, diaster and long, more than 1 hour, the security staff took break for 5 to 10 minutes because they didn't take off the shoes and don't speak English, just little bit, but the passengers don't speak and understand Arabic, which is not good. My pleasure. If your visiting Cairo, your fine, just be careful and avoid departing on the busiest flight like 11am to 1pm, 5 or 6 to 7pm and 10 to midnight unless it's the only option to depart Egypt.
I hope you guys enjoy this trip report. I read you all in the comments. Cheers!
