- Freddie Mercury with his song Mr Bad Guy. Was he really? well at first I did not know what to make of this song, I hope you guys do not mind the jokes I made. However, I can not take away the lyrical vibe I picked up on this track and how he really tried to carve himself an image of a real Bad Guy? perhaps notbus my guy feeling. Anyway this is my reaction to Freddie Mercury`s, Mr Bad Guy.

Freddie stated he created this character Mercury for the stage, he later said he had created a monster that everyone thought he actually was that person in real life, and sometimes he just didn't want to be him. Brian said Freddie needed to be someone else to do what he did on stage, Freddie was so shy, personally he was insecure about his teeth, skin, and hair, but when it came to his music there was no insecurities. The press always formed bad opinions about him, many lies which fueled rumors. Freddie according to those who knew him said he was kind, generous, loving person, but very secretive in many ways, he was trying to protect himself in my opinion. When it's all said and done this songs music has a humorous tone, like it's bullcrap about him being a bad guy, it's only opinions from people who do not even strive to see his goodness, it's his way of saying screw it, believe what you want. Love Freddie.

I think Freddie talks about how the press and the audience saw him - as the bad guy of the band. He was nothing like that, of course. So in this song he's just joking 😃

I don't care about what others think, this album has great songs.
It was Freddie's album, with the pieces of music he wanted to sing, his baby. So what? If people weren’t so prejudiced and so afraid of him, of what he had to say, they could have enjoyed this album...
Or maybe he was being ironic about what some people thought of him, like the British press (that didn't understand or recognize good music). Who knows? It's Freddie's mind, so could be anything 😎🎧🤟

As for „Mr. Bad Guy“ album, maybe you could check "Love me like there's no tomorrow". Or „Man Made Paradise“, it seems the lyrics were again written from his personal pain and there is an element of surprise in the song (meaning, his incredible vocal possibilities).

Can't believe this album was a bomb, Always pleasure to see songs like this getting recognition they deserve.
The instrumentation is very different from his Queen songs, That keeps you engaged.
You could do, ''Love Me like There's No Tomorrow''.
Another one of underrated gems.
From the liner notes: "This album is dedicated to my cat Jerry-also Tom Oscar and Tiffany and all the cat lovers across the universe-screw everybody else." Inside there is a photo of Freddie in the same pose but without the cool dark shades, so we get to see his gorgeous eyes! 💖
When I first heard this song my JAWS radar went up immediately (my favorite movie). I agree with your assessment of this song! Love the lyric: “Spread Your Wings” and fly away with me ...”. I think the song might have something to do with his relationship with the British press, who always blamed him for everything. Maybe he was also being blamed for the relative lack of success of Hot Space.

That beginning (the part where you felt that a shark was coming) has a similar sound to the theme song from the movie Jaws.

Bassoons! Love it. Love almost anything with bassoons. If it was synth, it was very well done. There was even a bit of bassoon on the Barcelona album. I played bassoon in my high school band, so am partial to that nice warm low reedy sound. And I adore this album...so glad you reacted to Mr. Bad Guy. That really sums up the world's view of Mr. Mercury, doesn't it? Or Freddie's view of the world's view. One can never grow tired of his great sense of comedy and humor, light-hearted but with a bite. Shark! Which reminds me, are you going to react to some of Roger's solo work?

Love this song,love the orchestra,Freddie worked so so hard on this album,did everything on it,i dont mean play the instruments,lol,dedicated it to all his cats,lol,just wish back then people appreciated his solo work more,they sure do now,glad i got my queen fix in today,now on to watch my green bay packers hopefully win today and go to the superbowl in february! I was surprised by this song
Its been used on the second series of The Boys
Commercial flop but it has been rediscovered by a younger audience. I think if Freddie had released it after the Magic tour it would have been more of a success. Fantastic album

It's a good song, Freddie was playing around with his Bad Guy image, similarly to Michael Jackson who did that with his Bad album.
I rarely listen to the entire album, don't know why, the other songs are all good quality. I just pick the singles which are not only good but they are all time classics. I was born to love you, Made in Heaven, Living on my own, Love me like there's no tomorrow, and also There must be more to life than this (with or without Michael Jackson).
I kindly ask you to react to "Love me like there's no tomorrow". This song is on my eternal top 5 list, I can't listen to it just once, when I play it. It's heartbreaking, you can hear the tears in his voice. Please don't start with the cartoon version. The cartoon video from about two years ago is sad and sweet, but totally distracting from this wonderful song. Maybe a double reaction, to the lyrics video and then the cartoon one?

I actually liked that album but I think the ‘Freddie Mercury Album’ which was released in the UK was a better quality album.
