WTAC is the pinacle of motorsport in my opinion. Taking a factory car, pushing automotive engineering and driver skill further and further. Mindblown every year with times they set.
I think that a better wtac format will be an international event. Two years in a continent, two in another and so on. Doing so other big tuners from all over the world can be encouraged in building great cars
Haha poor Taniguchi-san. Now I know why he mentioned it was hurting his back to go flat out in the TRB-03. Watch the end of his run after he crosses the start/finish in 50% speed - He's literally bouncing in the seat.
Possibly. I mean the only really bumpy section on Tsukuba is the last sweeper on the inside has a few little bumps in it. But still thats a fast time given how stiff the car was. If they could have gotten it to absorb the bumps a bit more they could shaved a few tenths or even a second off possibly.
So if HKS can do 49.4sec in Tsukuba I would really love to see a shootout of the WTAC cars in Tsukuba and compare the times, I bet that Porsche can do under 48sec based on what I saw in that video
I haven't driven EC, but i done hundreds of laps on a bike. Is it just me or does the blue GTR driver hit the apexes too early? or that just a 4wd thing?
Ok, best handling is the s13, best sound and horsepower is the r34, best driving is nob as his 86 was set up like shit, and finally, the Porsche is the most gay
This is where the skyline is supposed to dominate and it ran a 1.28??? The Silvia got it? Rwd..... and it sounded horrible as shit. Guess this car is all hype then
Warren Luff (S13) and Steven Johnson (Skyline) are proven V8 Supercar drivers that have both been on the podium at Bathurst. When did you get on the podium of anything other than your local carpark or Forza?? 🤨🤔 Sit down pleb and let the adults admire decent driving.
In the case of Wrren Luff. He is new to the MCA S13 even though he has driven rwd cars before. It certianly seems like he needs more seat time to get aquainted with the car.
best 13 min motorsport vid on youtube, pure sound, short intros, ballsy driving on street tyres
Years later I still come back this video for inspiration in the off season here in 🇨🇦
RB’s by far with the best engine note 😍
Love me some Time Attack action with no bullshit sound track. 😎👍 Awesome work Andrew. ♥️♥️

Factory car? lol
@@poolix1 Some classes are close to stock and needs stock things involved. The top 2 classes are pretty open by design.
Not quite the pinnacle of motorsport or engineering haha If you are impressed by the technology in WTAC you will be blown by a F1 car.
F1 is no doubt the pinnacle of motorsports.
@@NippyMoto Man I'd love to get blown by an F1 car!!
Damn that's some quick solid driving. Butthole puckered watching that first corner in the the Porsche.
Wow some freaking awesome machines there!! Well done to all of them.
The best time attack video ever. No bullshit, just great on boards. Epic.
The gearbox of the WBT R33 is so sick!!
Yesss!!! 😁

The best video of wtac 2018!!!!
Super bumpy ride on Taniguchi's car. He's bolted down with 6 point harness yet bouncing and jiggling on the seat.
my favorite video so far about time attack hands down!
Enjoyed the coverage and videos
Thank you thank you thank you!! Amazing in car with no music or bullshit. God freaking awesome. Very well done.
Proper weapon this car ! 🔥🔥🔥
s13 scary fast! Evo driver is going harrrrd!!! intense laps
The RP968 drove so smooth
You channel has been on fire, awesome videos keep it up

Looks like they had the car set up waayy to stiff.
Probably was still rocking Tsukuba's setup... I guess they run real stiff and underdamp the cars hard there, no bumps.

Still managed a 1:26 and quicker than some of the GTRs. So solid drive.
i love that XTREME R32

Damn that blue r34 is an animal, what’s it got like 5000kw?
More like 800
Fuckin hell
Nah just pure hell that’s what it is
Did you get any from Will's Civic? I forget the time, but it was respectable.
THAT LAST GUY...whats going on?
That S13 is setup really well, drives like there is virtually no turbo lag.
It was defending champion this year. Its really well setup and gets improved a lot every year
I think they should have put TIM Slade back in the MCA S13 as he is familair with the car.
The car looks perfectly balanced, ridiculous downforce and cornering capacity. Fantastic driving skills.
Looks like the HKS TRB-03 is running the windows 95 of gearboxes
Watching the brake fluid in the first car, you can really get an idea for the sirt of Gs these cars experience turning, braking and accelerating.
Barton was on it. I noticed the hamearhead lifted through turn one. Last year he was almost flat through it.
different driver. Shane van Grisbergen drove last year, absolute maniac of a guy.
*Tim Slade
@@18trobbins i stand corrected :p

I dont know, but that thing is a fucking rocketship out of the turns.
Front end too heavy
One question, the rp968 is making all the 1500hp? And what is the weight?
Probably around 1150kilos
That R34 sounds mean as
Are they faster than F1?
Ooft onboards are the best
Also 360p gang
00:59 SNEK!!!!!!
Can anyone tell me the circuit?
Youve never heard of World Time Attack Challenge or cant see the giant signs on track that say "Sydney Motorsport Park" ?
@@MotiveVideo Yes indeed I have. All this awesome onboard content readily available maybe blew my mind. Now i know.
WoW
What was smoking in the cabin in the 32gtr??
My guess is tyre smoke from wheels rubbing a bit.
1:46
やっぱり音はR33が最高やね。
Wbt gtr sounds like a v12, infact all of them sound like v12
For all the noise and drama of the big RB powered GTR's, their times got fkn smashed. Hehe
Different classes. Different areo.
gt86=deadly bouncing castle
lol HKS 86 bouncing more than rally cars on mountains roads
Video appears sped up. The car looked like it was doing 350kms into turn 1. Just doesn't make sense. Unless it was riding on rails.
Ok, best handling is the s13, best sound and horsepower is the r34, best driving is nob as his 86 was set up like shit, and finally, the Porsche is the most gay
The Porsche was the best, no doubt best handling and fastest
Yeah the Porsche was most happy.
@@Illuminwhy You could almost say it was so happy it was gay
