I used to be a cop in Augusta. I can give you plenty of reasons not to move to Augusta. Sorry and understaffed sheriff’s office, corrupt local politicians, If you’re a small business trying to win contracts you gotta be part of the “clique” in order to stand a chance(gotta know somebody), full of gangs, unruly juveniles running the streets, no comedy club, did I mention there’s always a shooting like the shooting downtown the other day with thousands of people hanging out?, and the terrible roads with all the potholes will tear up your car just to name a few. If you want to move to the augusta area move to COLUMBIA COUNTY! Stay out of RICHMOND COUNTY! Your families lives will be I. Constant danger, and you will have to put your kid in private school to keep them safe and not dumb, because the Richmond county board of education is just as bad as the commissioners. There are plenty of articles online that will show you how corrupt they are.
I'm a local here and you are Spot , But don't call our inner city children Dumb Ni 😊, I was A sub in the Richmond County School System and the District is setting our youth up too fail . Parents don't attend title one meetings anymore too Demand these changes , Parent Facilitators are not present in elementary and middle schools it is Bad , What I do believe it starts with the Commishioner and the Citizens too turn Augusta Around they have too Demand a Change & Find out we're monies and fundings are going , & hold these agencies accountable like Houseing and the Sheriff's Office . The Guy that jus Won you haven't herd or seen him Visible Sense. They need a Sky wheel by the Commons , Police Presence in town and FIX THE DERN POT HOLES 😂. The City is Growing but Slow as a Turtle 🐢
