Must stay positive for sure, yes we are not perfect but doesn't mean we won't stop to care and trying our best. From Indonesia I pray for all of you guys, stay healthy and don't give up hope. This pandemic is a reminder that we are human after all.
I think the true beauty in this song lies not in it's quality, but in its context. Ace Combat 5 was a game about people, and what war can do to people. To hear pilots and soldiers singing together, having fought and hated each less than a month earlier, who cares if they are out of key. It shows that they are people.
Agreed. Just listening to it now is making me cry a bit. There's a beauty to the context that no other game gets. Hell, AC5 as a whole was the first game to actually get me to cry. Haven't had one since either.
this part in the game. the song building from a single pilot whistling it over the intercom, a joint force of pilots from warring nations embarking on a suicide mission for the sake of peace while singing. this moment trumped any other in the game. this is why I play ace combat.
we can only hope. i might just buy it on the strength of VR alone. can you imagine playing ace combat from inside the cockpit with VR? that's some dope shit. let's hope they don't fuck it. 6 and assault horizon left me less than impressed.
not likely, ace combat's probably going to stay a playstation exclusive. as far as I know, they have no plans to release ace combat on anything but the playstation from now on.
theDinosorcerer actually ace combat assault horizon was released on the Xbox 360 and the ace combat slated for the end of 2017 was also announced for ps4 and xb1
Fairplayer37 For what it's worth I'm enlisted Air Force for 7 years. Me and all my fellow airmen, including officer pilots, sung this a few days ago. I'm a boom operator (aircrew) on a refueling aircraft, KC 10, part of AWACS. The pilots and aircrew sung this lol
Honestly one of the greatest gaming moments ever. Your carrier was just sunk. 3 nations are fighting against you. You just launched for what could very possibly be the last time on a suicide mission that will determine the fate of millions of people. Then as you get closer feeling all alone with the world against you, you hear that whistle
Tonight was the first time I had ever played Ace Combat 5 to completion. I owned it when I was younger, but I never made it further than the president escort mission with Edge. When I finally made it to mission 27, I had been through a lot of hardships. Losing Chopper was a gutshot that cut way deeper than it should've. Having Wardog eventually reorganized into Razgriz Squadron, especially knowing that, in one of your last deployments with Chopper, he himself coined the squad name, was heartbreaking, but reinvigorated me. I would fly to make him proud. To achieve the peace he longed for before his plane tumbled, encased in an inferno, from the sky, shattering upon the ground of the empty shell of November Stadium. And, on mission 27, as I approached what would be one of the last battlegrounds of the war, seeing those white blips on the radar, I hovered my finger over the missile button and prepared myself to enter effective range, about to blow them away... but then, the white blips turned blue, and the pilots who I had once called my enemies joined a singular, solitary whistle, forming a beautiful, off-key aerial chorus, belting out the song that had grown to represent unity and peace. And I teared up. It was a pure concentration of human spirit breaking through the cynicism brought about by months of ceaseless conflict. It tore down the wall between allies turned enemies and brought them together once again, united in a singular, common goal. The Ghosts of Razgriz, once feared by the Yukes, were now trailed by their pilots. Pledging allegiance to the squad that had shot down so many of their planes. Because the Ghosts were just like them. They had lost people close to them too. They were all just like each other. They had all been used for a purpose far beyond their initial understanding. And now, here they were, sharing an airspace, denying the aims of that purpose. Singing. Linked in tight formation. And I knew in that moment... Chopper would be proud. Though, he probably wouldn't admit it. He'd just try to make a quip of some kind. Listening to "Face Of The Coin" for you, buddy. RIP Alvin H. Davenport 1981-2010
The lyrics that the soldiers sing are different from the original lyrics, here is what they sing. Thoughts endless in flight Day turns into night Questions you ask your soul Which way do I go? How fast is too slow? The journey has its time within us The journey begins Starts from within Things that I need to know The song of the bird Echoed in words Flying for the need to fly Thoughts endless in flight Day turns into night Questions you ask your soul Which way do I go? How fast is too slow? The journey has its time within us The journey begins Starts from within Things that I need to know The song of the bird Echoed in words Flying for the need to fly
This is the first song, ever, to make me cry. When I first heard it in-game, I thought it was a good song, but it was overshadowed by me crashing twice an skipping the cutscenes. Now that I've heard it by itself, with no game, I've bawled my eyes out for the first time in many, many years. This song is not only about pilots and soldiers doing what is right, but a eulogy for those who's journey was ended too soon.
I just booted up the game and started a new game sp, and I broke down again. Nagase, Grimm and my planes were the F-22 with the Razgriz paint, and Choppers was the F-14 in Wardog paint. I had to switch all the planes back to F-14 Wardogs. I couldn't play otherwise.
Most people don't possess absolute pitch, so what's so odd about it? If anything, the dissonance in tuning makes it genuinely more realistic, not oddly.
this is one of the most beautiful moments in any game I've ever played. So inspiring to see the forces of two armies that were enemies just hours ago suddenly flying together to face the true enemy and end a war fueled by hatred.
This hit me hard as a kid. Then after joining the army, it hits even harder. Men and women, knowing that fate could very well be waiting for them, march, fly, sail, and jump straight into danger. But rather than show fear, they build upon the bond between them, ready to go forth, not alone, but together.
This song helps me remember that this isn't a fight of Russians against Ukranians. This is a fight of decent folk who just want to live their lives against a power hungry cold war relic madman and those he's managed to manipulate/intimidate into following him. Already, there are reports of Russian battalions who have refused to fight their neighbors and laid down arms.
@@metalgear6531 And even several Russian and Belarussian units have defected and are fighting for Ukraine. The allied Russian units have a modified Russian flag on that uniforms that replaces the red band with another white one to symbolize a Russia washed free from the bloody mistakes of its past. They've said their goal is not just freedom for Ukraine, but also freedom for thier own countries from the dictatorships that have long controlled Russia and Belarus.

It’s such a beautiful thing; all of those discordant voices joining as one chorus, even those who don’t know the lyrics singing along. And then, suddenly, a new voice appears… “LA LA LA LA! LEEESTEN TO OUR BEAUTIFUL VOICE!”

The first time I played this mission, I cried. Not of sadness nor joy, I was just very invested in the story of those people who were tired of fighting a pointless war, watching friend die, and just wanted to go home. Flying and fighting besides those who used to be ennemies yesterday.
Thoughts endless in flight, day turns to night...
Questions you ask...your soul!
Which way do I go?...
Sounds more beautiful than a hymn
finally i found the song that made me cry even i dont know the meaning from this song back then
thanks uploader, this one made my day
Don't give this a down vote, you know exactly what you were looking for.

The Razgriz Squadron's four F-14F Super Tomcat 21s, approaching Sudentor, near the border between Belka and North Osea, come across a group of four Su-27 'Flanker-B's on their radar, with no friendly IFF squawk.

This makes me tear up, literally
Hey, man. You're not the only one who shed a tear..
songs hit harder when you sing it with the boys 😭
THANK YOU! You did such a great job on it! This game and song are amazing it has the best storyline ever! And music too!
Man, am I the only one who instead of hearing "The journey has its time within us", hears 'The Journey has its time THEN ENDS'?
Oh my god I'm not the only one who heard that!
Came back for Ace Combat 7! I sing this loudly all the time!
For a Rip... it sounds pretty clear! nice job
Dude, I miss this game so much
all rise to the national anthem of Graham 'Chopper' Davenport
20 years later and still gets me in the feels😢
Wow crazy how Namco never released this especially on the Official Soundtrack ? !
This is heartfelt, thank you for upload.
This song brings back fond memories. Nice work on getting this. Makes me grin from ear to ear.
OMG! Awesome!
Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War
The most blatant case of false advertising in the history of video games.
I hear Chopper.
he does join the choir at 0:33 tho
I hear him to
Somewhat annoying this isn't as easy to find as the others, this is the best version if you ask me. Even when they're off-key it's charming.
This is not just one of the many ace combat songs, this may now be a universal anti-war song.
I'd love to see that happen!
Goddammit...the feels....
This moment and when this song was used during sea of chaos were some of the most emotional parts of the game for me
My whole childhood :')
I remember those days playing this game, can not and will never forget those amazing times I spend playing this pearl of game :)
I started to tear up once that first wave of fighters changed from hostile to friendly.
Why can't hold all those feels?!?
2016 still tears me up
;_;7
You, Sir, are among the top of my youtube users respect list! Thank you very much for this master piece, Sir!

Wow, that's incredible!
The feels m8 ; _ ;
“All civvies evac’d chopper! Bail now! Middle of the stadium!”
“Yeah, guess you’re right, time to set her down.”
“Roger. bail out now you idiot or your parachute won’t open in time.”
“I can’t...”
“Why not? Pull the friggin’ handle chopper!”
“My circuits are toast blaze.”
“Okay? Just use the manual release on the canopy!”
“It’s stuck, canopy will never blow.”
“I don’t like your tone Wardog 3, bail out now.”
“There goes the radar..”
“Stop giving me commentary and pull your lever motormouth!”
>
“Heh...I’m gonna miss that voice.”
“DAMMIT CHOPPER, PULL UP AND PREPARE FOR EMERGENCY LANDING, THAT’S AN ORDER!”
“See ya around kid.”
“IT’S CAPTAIN YOU IDIOT, PULL UP! CHOPPER PLEASE!”
*Explosion*
Thunderhead, Edge and Grimm: “CHOPPER!”
“Wardog... *engage.* “
LATER, DURING “Fortress.”
“Wardog, I still see Yukes on my radar, I want them *Erased* “
“Blaze...We should still be try and work for peace-“
“I stopped wanting peace with these scum when they attacked a civilian target, and got one of my best friends killed.”
“Blaze, they just engaged enemy fighters-“
“THEY ATTACKED A DAMAGED FIGHTER FOR AN EASY KILL.” *Blaze follows a yuke fighter, matching it move for move*
Yuke pilot: > *static*
“We’re marching on the capital of Yuketobania tomorrow, These animals wanted war, they can have it...”
At any rate, thanks for uploading this, I will extract the audio and add it to the OST on my MP3 lol
i have all the ace combat tracks and occasionally would search for this song, i wish there was a full version, i used to whistle it all the time off the memory alone.
Wow who would have thought an ace combat squadron leader's death could be so sad
>
La La La La! Listen to our Beautiful Voice! this is AWACS oka nieba! that means "sky eye" in your language!
It’s such a beautiful thing; all of those discordant voices joining as one chorus, even those who don’t know the lyrics singing along. And then, suddenly, a new voice appears…
“LA LA LA LA! LEEESTEN TO OUR BEAUTIFUL VOICE!”
Even when it's all over the place, it's so charming that restart after restart I just couldn't stop smiling.
Mientras algunos se ahogan con el odio otros ven un futuro prospero y lleno de oportunidades para la humanidad
I tear up every time
