      Sharon Stewart Thank you! Thank you Thank you for your feedback Sharon. I really appreciate it. That is so helpful to me to know if I’m out here guiding anyone in the right direction or not and to know what exactly is beneficial or isn’t is a huge help to me as well. It’s nice to know if I should keep doing what I’m doing 😜.

    I love this video. You have taught me so much in this video. I am so happy with my painting. I couldn't even sleep last night. I woke up about 3 times to look at it and add to it. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. This is the very first time I've seen any of your lessons and you absolutely nailed it. Again thank you.
    I was beginning to get frustrated in my painting journey and you sparked it up again. Thank you !!!!!

    I've been watching online instructors for 3 years and I would put you in the top 3 of who I enjoy learning from. You're very thorough, very detailed, and not afraid to show how to correct something if you overreach your plan. Keep up the good work, you have a great future on YT, imo. Just keep going. Don't quit and you'll be rewarded. Thank-you.

    I’m a beginner at age 65. I love your work! I’ve been practicing your my hydrangeas and thanks to you I’m ready to attempt the canvas. But I’m especially mesmerized by the water in this piece. It looks like a photo! Finally I’ve found a seascape I want to paint. You remind me of me, such a perfectionist.

    • @ellenboston4114
      @ellenboston4114 2 года назад

      I’ve painted the crashing wave, twice. People must realize how talented you are and how fast you paint. I don’t know how you do it but what flows from your brush is perfection. I appreciate that your tutorials are real time and you show everything including how you make changes when you don’t like something. I wish all the artists would My second attempt is much improved but not close to your league. Please posts more. I love your work

    There are many youtube videos about painting the ocean waves. But they all seem to share some conventions about the look of the waves. If we watch slow motion videos of the real ocean waves, we can see they are very different from these conventional paintings. The foam streaks inside the waves can not be seen, but we can percieve the form of the rising wave through countless vertical - concave ripples sometimes resembling long diamond shapes on the surface of the front side of the wave, shining and reflecting the light. Foam streaks on the rising wave may be seen in small seashore waves, but not the giant ocean waves. The top of the breaking wave doesn’t form such a smiley shape, instead when it goes down crashing a huge amount of foam occurs. The shape of the foam is never so uniformly round like an Elizabethian collar, but it lathers with great energy and has high and low parts going in every direction with lots of spray. The tutorial maybe shows some normal sea waves coming to the shore in a giant form, as if they were blown up. Still, the tips about color mixing and values are really helpful for beginners.

Thx... I have to start paying attention to your painting now.. be safe

    Best tutorial on waves !!! Thank you so much . I had a blast painting this ( not nearly as nice as yours though 😳 )
    It would seem some people only give a little info or skip some steps ( mixing , shading etc. ) You show all of your steps and mixing . Thanks again !
    You're awesome !
