This video saved me hundreds of pounds. I was also messed about by 2 garages. I would have been bussing it around only for this video. I did everything EXACTLY to the video. Thank you so much my friend!
Fantastic help - thank you. I would just add that if you are changing the motor. you have to reset the position where the motor parks at by powering the motor before you connect it to the assembly, and turn on the wipers and engine and then turn off the wipers before you turn off the engine. You can then proceed to connect the new motor to the assembly and the wipers will park correctly .
Based on your video, went and got a Motor from an auto factors open on a Sunday and 2hrs of labour it was done! Saved my mum from a 500€ rip off garage charge! Thanks for the video!
Any chance you'd list the make of the motor, amazon not bringing me to the part. Mother is getting quoted 500€ for replacing her motor . Not having that !!
Great video buddy, just replaced my motor but it wants to push the wipers the wrong way. I've had to position the wipers towards the roof of the car so it brings the wipers down and back up 🤷♂️ is there anyway to rectify this?
@@fiveminuteman no I thought that but there is only one way to mount it so then I checked to see I'd ordered the right one and it is a right hand drive version 🤷♂️ think I might have to send it back😭
Hei. I change the linkage. (old motor). Everything is working, but now it does not respond to the command. Works when it wants only, and stops in different positions? it is the motor going bad?
That sounds very odd and probably down to the motor, check the connectors and plug contacts to make sure they are clean. We fitted a cheap ebay motor to ours over a year ago and it's been perfect.
Just came across this video. I've replaced, fuse, motor, linkage and switch. Still no power getting to the motor... Is there a relay as well as the fuse that could need replaced?
@@fiveminuteman Thanks for the reply. I haven't changed the relays. I got a 2nd hand IPDM, but I believe it has to be programmed to the car. I done a quick switch and the car wouldn't start up. I'm going to swap the relays to test it. I also done the IPDM self test and the wipers didn't move.
Very helpful video, had an issue with my wiper linkage arm position, after replacing the motor, your tip about it pointing back straight toward the motor cover has inspired me to take another look tomorrow. Wish me luck!
Thank you! My Qashqai has the steering wheel on the left side. Only the right wiper doesn't work. I think that's something broken or loose... I don't have that tool to remove the wipers. I will try to solve this tomorrow.
On mine the wipers do full stroke when operating in full mode but in intermittent and at stop position theyre raised, I'm stumped how this can happen, any ideas?
I had a new motor fitted a few weeks ago as my other one blew my wipers have not sat correctly ever since and it has broke twice more since! I’m literally about to give up
Make sure the drain holes in plastic trim are clear as water will trickle down on to motor. Check linkages are free and not sticking. I had to use a fix kit on mine.
Hey, thanks for the video, so if the fuses blow everytime it means it's the motor? I already removed once the wiper blade to add a clip but removing the motor will be a big step.
If the fuse keeps blowing that would indicate the motor. It's not a complicated process to get the motor changed and you can go for the motor and mechanism, but to be honest the motor change is quick.
How’s the motor holding up? Do you have a link to the one you ordered?
Still going strong. Wiper motor I used amzn.to/3pUSHuo
Wiper motor and mechanism amzn.to/3jASSsx
Wiper removal tool amzn.to/3rqBRnm
What size are all bolts

Huge thanks for making this video! Helped me out immensely when my wiper motor failed last week. New one ordered and job done Saturday morning.
Great stuff, mine is still going strong.
Have you done any other tutorials for things like filter changes etc on the same Qashqai J10?
Any chance you'd list the make of the motor, amazon not bringing me to the part. Mother is getting quoted 500€ for replacing her motor . Not having that !!
They change quite a bit, ebay is probably easiest to get the correct part number.
Followed this step by step, great video - new wiper now fitted no bother. Just follow this guide, watch at half speed if it’s too fast

I’ve watched this five times now and I’m sure I can replace mine. Thank you so much for this helpful and informative video
No problem, it's quite easy
Hi mate I'm just looking to replace my motor and linkage could you link what tools you used because old links don't work!
Just finished mine thanks to your video!!!!! Thanks again
Ours is stilk going strong on the new motor.

Hi there, many thanks for a great & simple video. Unfortunately, it was not the fuse as I had thought. Not sure why they are not working?
Sounds like the motor, think i also did a motor replacement video.
@@fiveminuteman Thank you so much for getting back to me. I will check that one out too👍👍
Thanks for this video. I suspect mine has gone
Are the motors pretty standard for j10 models ?
Yep, ebay is your friens. Our cheap chinese one still going fine.

Any idea why linkage not return. ING to home position
motor or linkage needs looking at or just realign wipers.
@@fiveminuteman think it's the linkage as it's a new motor and made sure it was in the position on the vid. Thanks for the reply mate

Blimey, take the nuts off and see if you have to use the tool or not.
I did, thats why im here

Sounds weird, check the linkages and try a new motor.
Many thanks buddy. Just replaced my wiper motor, worked first time. Thanks for posting this video.
Great stuff, mine is still going strong👍
I can hear my motor moving still?? Do I need to replace the arms linkages
Sounds like the linkages, but if it's like mine the motor packed up a couple of months after i repaired the linkages.
Great video pal. I have just swapped out my motor, issue now is the wipers work fine but stop in the middle of the windscreen. Any pointers cheers👍

Take it back to the garage that did the work.
Ive burned out 3 motors this year, any ideas as to why that happens???
Make sure the drain holes in plastic trim are clear as water will trickle down on to motor. Check linkages are free and not sticking. I had to use a fix kit on mine.
Linkages are fine no issues there as far as i can see. Ive taped up the drain holes with waterproof tape so cant understand how water gets in??

Hi is it a standard blade fuse or micro or mini size? Thanks
